Because that is the requirement: you must be a woman to compete in women's sports.
They are not biologically female, they have unfair advantage. Most of the competitions don't allow them to compete that way.
It seems there's a lot of information you lack on this subject to better inform yourself. A few things to clear up: sex is not the same as gender, trans women are not female nor claim to be, trans women must undergo hormone therapy to up estrogen, reduce muscle mass, etc before being allowed to participate. They are tested. Not very many trans women even win. With that said, im not sure i understand your reply.
What I meant is that opinion on gender don't matter in sport, only facts. And the facts are that even if you put testosterone aside, there are more muscle tissues, densier bones, larger heart and lungs...
It's okay if their social status is changing to female, because that's about behavior and opinions. But sports are not about that.

@Dandnlawlipop He’s saying cisgendered women are at an unfair disadvantage. There’s a reason men & women’s sports are divided, because men would likely be the victors because of their strengths. A man who transitions to be a woman could still likely beat cis women in a sport the cis women worked blood, sweat & tears to compete in
I'm not here to argue about what individuals who have decided to seek gender reassignment are and have been dealing with psychologically but to suggest that what they have felt mentally negates the obvious physical differences between the male and female physiological differences because that would be completely assinine.
Dawnslawlipop, are you not aware of the fact that there are humumgous differences between the male and female physiological bodies? Strength being the most obvious physical difference. We're hopefully not expected to be in a fog just to remain politically correct.
