Finding human value in others is a part of survival. If everyone thinks others have value and help to save them, they're in turn helping themselves. There's no real universal rule saying a life has meaning. It's just coded into our brains but when those people that have value turn against us, we see them as enemies to our own survival.

I personally think everyone is neutral by default. As a baby. Black or white it doesn't matter, they're equal to me. The actions they perform when gaining the capabilities for them when older is how I will determine their worth in the future.
