First off I'm African, not American African. I grew up in Europe & moved to America. And I don't understand this attitude...

Black Lives Matter in what sense? They kill, rape, damage the property, etc. of their own brethren more than whites, Hispanics or others do

People say that BLM is about police brutuality.

Have you ever watched the news? Blacks are more likely to run from the police than act like decent law obeying citizens. Now. Do you honestly think if African Americans behaved like LAW OBEYING citizens there'd be so much "police brutality".

Of course all lives matter, but I think BLM is more targeting police brutality and the institutional racism, particularly in America. I mean the movement started when a TEENAGER was murdered and his killer was found not guilty - it's that kinda thing that pisses people off you know? It has definitely become more politicized, and there are definitely problems surrounding the movement. I can understand why people do this - BLM especially spurred off during lockdown and Trump's presidency and people were frustrated and upset - people generally turn to violence in their desperation.

As for the term, "African-American", they weren't born in Africa so, they are simply AMERICANS!! I notice that Jamaicans are also called, "African-Americans". WHY? Just because they have the same look and colour?
There were a number of small black-owned shops during the riots a couple years ago that got destroyed! Funny how THOSE black lives didn't matter! There was also a black security guard and a number of black cops that were murdered or at least hurt,. weren't those lives black enough?
I have to wonder if blacks in other countries act the same way as those over here?
A lot of people today are complaining about how terrible guns are but they don't seem to have anything to say about them when it's a black person doing the killing. ESPECIALLY when it's another black person that they just killed!!

"Black lives matter" is a political slogan, and as an organization, a political tool. Nothing more. While there are no doubt well-intentioned members of the organization, expecting it to be anything more is setting yourself up for disappointment. I'm not inherently opposed to investigating police use of excessive force, and making some changes, if that's appropriate, but if black lives matter, then they MATTER, full stop- even if they're not resisting arrest, and *even if it's not an election year*.

In America per capita, Asians experience more hate crimes then African Americans. (according to data from the DoJ and Census burro+some math in the google calculator)

The media also spins facts like how blacks are more likely to go to jail, but leaves out key details like how their are more police in black neighborhoods.
Its like with covid. If a country never tests, then they would have 0 cases right? But the country that tests everyone would have way more cases.
Police are also more likely to be suspicious of blacks, which would lead to more checks, which going back to the testing analogy, would lead to more arrests as more tests are being done.
