Where it is more substantive it tends to the extreme and is not so much the pursuit of justice as the catharsis that comes with seeking vengeance.
Thus for example, Black Lives Matter's recent craze to "defund the police." This is patently self-destructive where it is not simply absurd. Indeed, it was not 30 years ago that African-American community leaders were demanding a stronger police presence in minority communities as crime rates - as a result of the 1960s/70s passion for treating the criminal as a victim rather than a perpetrator - soared.
Indeed, thus how the nation got to its' current fits of moral exhibitionism and self-pity. The increased police presence of the 1980s, 90s and early 2000s brought crime rates down to levels that had not been seen since the peaceful placid 1950s. Now relatively secure and safe, many in those communities began to take their safety for granted and found the means to such safety as intolerably oppressive and racist.
Thus the cries of institutional racism and the theatrical protests in the streets that have now conduced to violence. It is feeling substituting for facts as the data show that, by far, most crime in the African-American community is black on black, that whites are far more likely to suffer police brutality than are black and indeed that in 2019, the last year that full statistics are available, that a grand total of 10 African-Americans were shot by white police officers.
All this against a background where, until the recent pandemic, the unemployment rate among African-Americans had fallen to its' lowest level since statistics for that demographic began to be kept in 1947. This also in a country that had not so long ago elected and re-elected its' first African-American President. A thing that would have been impossible had it depended upon African-American votes alone.
No matter, particularly in a populist age where the common man is fancied the pinnacle of all virtue and where self-pity is at a premium, the conclusion has been drawn that America is irreducibly racist and African-Americans are oppressed - the latter also playing off the virtue and cachet that comes with being classified a victim. This then leading to an extremism that is profoundly silly where it is not profoundly self-destructive.
Thus Black Lives Matter recently called for the abolition of the traditional family. This ignoring the fact that African-American children are, by far, the most likely to be born out of wedlock and raised by single mothers. The social pathologies that flow from that to follow - including higher illiteracy, a greater chance of criminal activity, drug addiction and so on.
Of course, instantly it will be argued that there is racism in America, as the infamous Minneapolis episode illustrates. Actually, that is slipshod language. Bigotry there is. Racism, on the other hand, is a schematic ideology and is comparatively rare.
No matter, human beings are imperfect and imperfectible and if the expectation is that there will be no justice or peace until perfect racial harmony is achieved, the wait is apt to be a very long one. Indeed, it will come at the cost of the very social stability that the African-American community needs if it is to overcome the maladies that afflict it and are, by far, the primary source of its' grievances.
So Black Lives Matter is the drivel that is left behind when slogans substitute for thought and emotion replaces analysis. It being further aggravated by a supine culture that prizes moral exhibitionism and "virtue signalling" over the hard work and inevitably imperfect outcomes that will facilitate real social improvement.20 Reply

To me it seems like a lot of people just wanna be full of shit. They wanna use any means to get what they want despite its backlash. There actions even if they say publicly that they don't tolerate it riots and burning of building still speaks for them regardless. They have the name BLM when they do this and rather you like it or not it is a part of your organization. People aren't gonna see certain sectors and think that its not a whole but sperate groups. I don't see it that way because one if you truly didn't feel that way did you would try to help the police stop these from happening to begin with, instead you sit back and watch and say some words. I love my people but i do believe that it be better if we found a different way to express ourselves without hurting others in this day and age. There are so many people dying due to violence and lack of good character that it's scary to even go outside. Black people you are a majority of the shit that goes on TV, yet you wanna say BLM. So why not you know make your image look better, clean up your area that you live in, be nicer, show the world that not all black have this gang like thought process, show the world that you do matter by actions not by words. I value a life not bass off what it says but by what it does and how it helps others. Words are just words, but in order to achieve peace you must look within and find your inner peace then spread it. Help others, show love, ask black people who are thugs to lay down there arms and just be human about things instead of resulting to killing each other over some petty shit. Ex : my cousin was shot 9 times over a card game in FL. He was betting and the dude was losing to much so he thought he was cheating and shot him. We just buried him last weekend. Like for real, do you have nothing better to do then kill each other, hurt each other, rob, burn down businesses that even some black people own, protest yet do nothing to be of any use to helping black people? y'all wanna start off with racism but yet you won't help your own community who is suffering right now, not due to racism but due to it's own people. So why should i believe in BLM?

Black people where apart of the slave trade in South America, Central America, the United States and Europe for thousands of years. People of all ages where taken against there will crammed into ships shackled with little space to move at all for weeks on end as the vessels made their way to slave owners. In all the nations except for the United States Slavery was outlawed and Black families where able to have freedoms much earlier than in the US. In the U. S. blacks were slowly given some rights but it was divided by state laws and ultimately lead to the civil war in line with the expansion of the west. With freedoms that followed after the civil war Black families were still denied full rights to vote. Separate but equal established a legal way to squabble any chance for families could move out of poverty. Schools were white only. Colleges and universities were white only. Jobs and financial institutions were white only. Endless lynchings occurred all throughout this country. Countless innocent people were murdered simply for being black. The whites men that committed these crimes rarely if ever saw punishments. Dr. Martin Luther King used Faith and Christianity as a platform and a shared purpose that all men are created equal. This brought white and black together to fight for a common goal. Equality for all. Equality for everyone. Black Lives Matter ✊🏾 means simply that Black history is covered in blood that occurred for thousands of years. Black lives are in fact unique. More so in this nation than any other race. To say All lives matter really demonstrates the sheer ignorance and lack of empathy that Black families have endured for so long. Even still in 2021 black men are executed in plain daylight under the white privileged banner of self defense. Multiple generations of financial differences have shown massive education and wealth disparities between black and white families In this nation. Black Lived Matter mean just that. It means I care. It means I as a white person will never understand what it means to be black in America. But I support the cause for equality for all. I support the idea that you are not held to a different standard with the police with access to schools, healthcare or employment just because of your skin color.
It means we fucked up as white people in this country. And we sure as fuck should care and maybe just maybe we should listen very carefully to our black brothers and sisters and for once learn to love each other.14 Reply- +1 y

It was Negro tribal chiefs who were the main suppliers of slaves to the European ships that frequented the Slave Coast. The many tropical diseases that infested Africa forced whites to buy and run at top speed to give them a chance to survive the transactions. Without Negro complicity, there would be no Negro slaves for the Americas. It was the Spanish who started the buying of slaves to work on their plantations in South America and the Caribbean. The British soon caught on to the advantages of Negro slaves and they too started to import them for their sugar plantations, then the Americans joined the trafficking for the cotton trade.

+1 yto me, it's a scary dangerous neonazi movement, that is ideologically charged by the idea that "the white man (not women)" is to blame for all the shit "the black people" are in. i mean they even have the hand symbol and they are violent towards people that won't follow their movement and flags that kind of all reminds me of the original nazis (being a german that says something)... and they destroy and loot private property that is actually owned by the people they claim to fight for, so that doesn't make a lot of sense.
the scariest part is, that this ideological movement even made it's way into Europe, even though no country in Europe has a history of black slavery and the only country who has a history of crimes against humanity (being germany) is currently being the most "multicultural", refugee welcoming, "racism condemning" country in the world to compensate for that xD so i don't get it. also in the middle of 2020, when covid measures started and people wanted to protest, their protest was forbidden and "if" allowed, masks and distance was forced. meanwhile blm just got to demonstrate wherever they wanted...
guess people are on instagram too much.00 Reply 1.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. You're seeking a declaration?
I declare that though it's not the fault of the black community that my first two (black) wives were evil as fuck and both participated in fraud on a regular basis and that the two kids of the second one (my step kids) had two separate but both drug-addicted black fathers that never helped with child support so I bore that responsibility gladly. They both, in the end, married me for my money and whiteness and showed me all the shit they were doing and planning to milk the system. So while it's not the fault of the black community that I had poor choices in wives I feel pretty comfortable in having the opinion that my wives were not the only ones who thought like that.
Lot's of leeches...🤨.
black lives matter is a war cry for manipulative people (who are really puppets) to see who submits and complies with the totalitarian regime that's being planned or who does not comply so you can attack them with unsubstantiated accusations of racism when all they really said was that all life matters.
I'm not worth any more than anyone else. Neither are you. Neither are my kids nor your kids. We're all of equal worth... until you suddenly feel like you're worth more than someone else and try to subjugate them...

+1 yIt means equality to me, and I do think that they are raising some very important points about police reform in America. But I also think it's important to recognize something about the system that BLM thinks (I say think because they wouldn't be fighting if they understood their enemy) it's fighting against. The System, as we understand it is doing exactly what it was designed to do. It's not about race, it's about extracting money from vulnerable people and you have every single player along the way taking his/her cut, regardless of the victim's color. The System isn't broken, it's working perfectly. It's just a gigantic and all consuming machine, AND EVERY. SINGLE. COMPONENT. GAINS FROM YOU STAYING DOCILE.
If you don't believe me when I say that this isn't a race thing, look at the media coverage of the WallStreet Bets scandal; they're calling those Redditors White Supremacists and Russian bots. Not wanting to get rinsed out of your money makes you a white supremacist... Think about how insane that is... People like A. O. C. throwing away a moment of unity with Ted Cruz so she could draw attention to herself being "scared of white supremacists" instead of letting her constituents focus on making hedge fund managers return money to the people they stole from.00 ReplyIt means what it says. The movement and organization however are a farce. On the BLM twitter page they have a profile pic saying " End white supremacy." How can that be when blacks are not being oppressed by slavery, segregation is years gone, and blacks and whites live side by side with one another? It's bullshit and racist. My opinion. They say cops treat them wrong. That might be true and there are phones and body cameras that can record when an officer gets out of line these days but they are usually crying wolf. They support criminals and don't want to take responsibility for their actions. Take the Trayvon Martin example. He was killed because a Latino was probably afraid of him because he's black. Black set off that image. If blacks set off a better image for themselves, Trayvon might have been given the benefit of the doubt or his killer probably would have just been racist and jealous. Some people are racist. And the movement of BLM is racist because they blame whites for their evil actions. If some white concerning a black was racist, it's probably an isolated incident and cannot be associated with the majority of whites. However, it seems that BLM is racist and not isolated because it's a movement and BLM's twitter has at least 1 million followers so that says that there are a lot of blacks who are racist. Those blacks need to take a hard look at themselves and set a better image, educate their community in life skills, support one another, and stop blaming whites when life does not go their way. Also, blacks need to learn history and understand it is just history and learn for themselves not to repeat it. The past is in the past. I definitely live free so just let it go. It's history!
00 Reply"Black Lives Matter:" To exploit the fears, paranoia, and insecurity of the least educated black people (and white liberals) to make $$$ while doing fuck-all to actually help black communities, and literally doing more harm to them while claiming to be a "hero" and getting lip-service accolades for being a monster who would 100% go to Hell after death if it actually existed.

+1 yTo me I see it for what it is and sadly it has nothing to so with helping black lives considering they burn and loot their own communities, make blacks look bad and don't donate any of the money George Soros funds them with. Everyone knows Soros has paid for every revolution in Russia to help destroy their country and murder millions and now he is using this movement to try and take down our country and make it a communist country. Thank God he didn't win and we just defeated China in Taiwan so they won't have the gold needed to fund their one world order and Trump has brought back the republic and is getting rid of the fraudulent bankrupt defunct govt masquerading as our real govt that was put in place due to the federal reserve act and defeated the satanic globalists. A plan that has been in the works for 30÷yrs. This world is about to change for the better and that means all races across the world age here in the U. S.

+1 yI take it as a black rights issue. They are unfairly called out and mistreated, because of few bad apples in their culture. I am white and lived in a project from 11 to 16 and saw first hand how my friends were treated differently from me, when we even had the same attitude towards authority. Here this points out a big issue. All the white families tended to be on the outer edges of the project and the Afro- Americans were crammed in the back part of the place. Granted this was the seventies and things are still the same now, what does that say about society. Sixty years later they still battle the same shit. It is just a call to their issues and how other cultures are not disrepected as much as the Afro-American culture.
00 Reply341 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The name implies that black lives are being valued less than others, particularly by the police, which simply isn't true. There may be an argument to be made that black lives are undervalued by other blacks, by the politicians who say they support them, or by certain political or social groups, but that isn't what they're are arguing for. Their arguments have been specifically against unfair police violence, which while a problem, does not unfairly target their demographic. Quite the opposite, in fact.
The phrase itself is fairly obvious, and any sane person should agree that it's true. It's implications, however, are not. And the fact that its leaders have openly stated that it has Marxist goals make it clear that if there is a group for whom black lives do not matter, it is BLM. As with virtually all Marxist groups, they are more than willing to throw their "own" people under the bus in order to gain more power.00 Reply320 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. BLM started as a legitimate need but has mutated into another speaking head for the Democrat party. It has also started a huge rise in racism against the white race.
Most of the people I know, even the black ones have started to roll their eye at BLM. They have lost virtually all credibility as a movement.10 Reply

Maybe a preventative measure so that history dont repeat itself. Of course it has been manipulated and tarnished politically instead of just being all about humans and equality. Black lives will matter when Negros stop slaughtering each other.
The minuscule number of Negros who are innocent of an immediate crime killed by police pale in comparison to the tally of non-Blacks who are gunned down. As a ratio of population, Negros are disproportionately represented but then they are disproportionately represented in the overall crime rates, which kinda deflates the impetus behind the slogan.01 Reply- +1 y
