It depends. I date someone for who they are now, not for what they did in the past. The past only matters if it's so recent that it's debatable if it's really in the past.
It's not like my own past is all straight and innocent. But my past is in the past, and it will stay there. Whatever baggage someone has, if they left it behind, well good for them.
I am now. An infamous one that’s story has been told on ID Discovery’s Deadly Women and on Oxygen channel.
No we stay anonymous it’s ok. Some really are victims that get a bum rap
I’ve written to several Women in prison and have visited a few very infamous ones in person. You learn to spot the evil ones that deserve to be there really quick. The best way to identify them is when they say they’re totally innocent and the other is to look at their actions while incarcerated. You cannot hide the true you forever. Eventually it will come out. Behind bars cut off from civilization is when ones true self emerges
True... Generally you can tell from an inside perspective... At least for the guys... A lot of guys act out and try to act tough or Billy others or what ever... Those are the ones that are generally getting in trouble and held as long as possible.
It's the ones that actually want to be a better person that out the effort into doing what there told.
Although there are a few people I met that I believe just got screwed... And even the police report supports that.. but crime aside... If you don't want to be in there... You'll make an effort to do better
I met one woman that the prosecutor told her. “I know this was an accident and I know there was no internet but I’m a prosecutor and it’s my job to prosecute.” He offered her a 25 year plea. In Texas if you cop a plea you don’t get parole for any reason.
Intent
Not true. I was locked up in prison. And took a plea of 4 years and made parole after 7 months. Though I had to take a rehabilitation program and didn't actually get it till the 20 month mark.
Fun fact... A judge can't sentence you "withought parole" I mean they can.. but once you actually get in prison it's up to parole weather or not to slow you out... The judge has no authority on it.
Was this in Texas?
She’s out now but she had to serve her whole 25
Depends on the crime, the severity and their reform to be honest obviously not going to go for someone who murdered his last three wives for insurance money and who suspiciously wants to get married a week into dating.
How are you adjusting post prison life?
Yeah I can deffinatly understand that xD you can only give a person so many tries at another chance xD
And it's not too bad... I just wrote a whole paragraph trying to explain it as actually and ambiguous as possible till I realized you probably don't want all that xD
I little depressed and a lot of stress over the situation I'm currently in. And before I had better resources to deal with it... Finding a job... Driving myself... Now cuz of where I'm at in forced to charge into these issue that cause me anxiety and it's hard... But I've got a good support system. Friends and my parents... And I'm deffinatly more happy now then I was in there.
Thank you for asking
Eh I wouldn't have minded a long paragraph.
It definetly will cause stress but the support system always helps and just knowing that it happened and it won't happen again. Finding a job might be a bit difficult to be honest but you've just got to push through and prove them wrong.
Yeah the desirable jobs part is probably the hardest. I study labour relations and we joke about how the American labour system and laws is what everyone else uses as a 'what not to do'
Depends on what they were in for. Domestic violence or rape is an absolute hard no.

C & D probably would have the most influence of whether a girl would date one.
It would really depend on the crime. For example, I would be with someone who had drug charges (and they try to make a change in their life), but wouldn't be with a murderer
No prob! Not sure what happened in your life, but I think regardless everyone deserves a second chance. Wish you luck and happiness in life! :D
How is that even relevant?
How is any question relevant? It's just something that effects me so I wanted to ask. Is that relevant enough? I wanted to take a pole to c what the general feelings of society were on people that had been to prison.
If you didn't think the question was worth asking them y did you bother to share a comment? I could ask what the point in commenting was if you weren't going to add your opinion on the question
Our system of due process has strayed from the objectives of the founding fathers, away from establishing the truth of law, in favor of over criminalization, putting labels on everyone and establishing rules and social conventions that will accept the truth of what your file or records say about you, at the expense of the real life, living and breathing you, in person and in the flesh. If you do a background search on me, you will find all sorts of fictional material under my name that have nothing too do with reality. In one city, there are warrants out for my arrests for fictitious crimes the police have no intention of attempting extradited on, for a number of reasons. In the city I moved too, I am a volunteer instructor in small arms proficiency and sharpshooting skills I learned in the military, as well as self defense and disarmament tactics I hope will help police officers be safe and choose non-lethal means of engaging potentially dangerous suspects when responding too a complaint or performing routine traffic stops. Which police should people believe, the ones looking for me, or the ones I trained to keep people safe without use of firearms for certain engagements? You shouldn't judge yourself based on a file or computer record.
