Why do black American men impregnate many black women and do not care about their about their kids after it? Or is this a stereotype?

I am just curious. Does this really happen so much? Or is this a stupid stereotyp

It all boils down to education and socio economic status. The white people living in the same circumstances are getting pregnant at the same rates, and higher educated blacks with some wealth are doing better than their white counterparts in lower income and lower education households... Its not race... It's not even beneficial in anyway to look at it from a race point of view, we are all humans, and the genetic differences within group vary more widely than the genetic makeup of out group overall.

Well there are a few contributing factors to unwanted pregnancies. First of all is the obvious one, sexual education and the access to birth control which are both severely lacking in USA but specifically with poor and marginalized groups such as ethnic minorities. This leads to all sorts of situations such as simply not knowing the true consequences of their actions to believing in misinformation and thinking they are practicing safe sex. Pulling out and "flushing" with soda comes to mind as two depressingly common forms of preventing pregnancies.

After that we have the issue of abortion. Pregnancies can happen even if you follow guidelines and access to affordable abortion is not always guaranteed. This can both cost a lot of money which again impacts the poor but more nefariously the right wing has undermined the access a lot of people have to abortion clinics such as shutting them down or making them illegal to operate in certain areas.

Lastly I would like to talk about Religion. Christianity has been pushing hard inside USA to stop abortions and since black people are very often religious that also has an effect on them choosing to give birth to kids they might not actually want or have the ability to take care of.

Fortunately its not as big of a problem as it sounds like you think it is. A problem for sure and it should be dealt with but a manageable one.

Not just black men do this. You will find men of very race that do this. I'm a prime example of it. My mother got pregnant with me and my father took off. I have 2 half sisters and one half brother that I know of. Because my father did the something to at least two other women that I know about. I don't have any direct contact with my father or his family. So their is a good chance the counts are higher then the last time I got some solid info about it years ago.

Stereotypes are a good example if Illusory Truth Effect and should never be taken as a truth on any level. If we hear something enough times it can become a assumption of ours. There is also a chance it can become a truth in our mind. Despite not having any evident to prove this truth, or their being evidence that disproves this truth. That is the Illusory Truth Effect in a nutshell. We also tend to be negatively impacted by it while we are growing up.

So if you do believe such stereotypes might be true or are true, think about how many times you heard that stereotype in your life and especially when you where growing up. Also understand that a lot of stereotypes have been more or less passed on to the next generation and have been for many, many generations. Because of how Illusory Truth Effect works.

is it fact? I'd have to see evidence.

But my assumption is there is sufficient evidence to say:
Lack of Fathers. They may have left or gone to jail.
Why they do that? Because of their prior generations broken families, the strain of caring for family and being the man, when they had lack of role model. Corrupt environments... again possibly rooted in damaged heritage.

Which leads to theft, lower values.

Again, need evidence. I doubt it is Africans, it is patterns of poverty. Question is if it happens at ssimilar rates in other cultures... appalacia, poor Indians, etc..

It's a stereotype, but one that finds a LOT of fulfillment. A lot of it started with Lyndon Johnson's welfare reforms that prioritized single mothers- a woman stood to gain a lot more money if her kids' father wasn't around than if he was, often more than he'd likely be able to provide. This incentivized the destruction of the black family unit, and now generations of poor black people have grown up without fathers, and think that's normal, and the cycle perpetuates itself.

Given the incredible disadvantage this puts on an already disadvantaged population, you'd think there'd be more push to break it, but few people are publicly willing to speak out, fearing it would be seen as demonizing single mothers and victim-blaming. Fortunately, black people are human, and capable of making their own decisions. It's not a universal thing, and the cycle CAN be broken.

it is more of a income or class issue and it is a race or gender issue. since people from most races and both genders tend to do it to some degree. people from broken families are more likely to make more broken families. many people end up having children together from a hookup or short term relationship. often due to lack of using protection during sexual encounters. what really hurt the whole things was when having children. outside of marriage or even a exclusive long term relationship became normalized by the public. the current welfare state promotes single parent families. with things like section 8, food stamps, hemp, forced child support, etc. yet there is also another version like section 8. that allows for both parents to stay in the household. while offering similar benefits to section 8. just don't recall what it is named at this time.

I have seen the statistics. It's not racist to state facts. I'm black and every woman in my immediate family has had a baby from a deadbeat dad. All by black men. Both sisters, my mother, her 3 sisters, and my grandmother with all 7 of her kids. It's very very common! If it's a stereotype, there's a good reason.

I think there are black men that step up. But I've seen black stereo types. Loud and obnoxious for example. Especially around my mom's apt but along with that, I've seen so many black father's with their families and it makes me hope that black father's are more likely to stick with families. Or at least willing to help and be supportive. not always the most helpful but at least a willing presence in their lives

It is a true stereotype. Statistics do show single parenthood to be very prevalent in the black community. Why does it happen? Culture. Black icons rap about it, they're elders did it before them, black comedians joke about it, etc... Their surroundings support a psychological framework that doesn't find inpregenating a woman and then leaving her, to be morally repulsive.

It's mostly just a trope and internet meme.

The reality is most of those kids will die in their teens, shot by White Cops. Most of those dads will be in prison because a White jury convicted them on "looks" alone and they were unable to afford bail, or afford mental health care.

This is not rude or racist. It is true in inner cities. This is what i belive brings the minority crime rate to rise so dramaticly. The nuclear family does work better on the childs chances of not being imprisioned. But i think the reason is that they are taught being a "player" is so cool. The ones that stay are real men. The ones that go are cowards. Good question this is how you shrink the gap of inequality, by speaking about real problems and gaining ideas to fix it.
