its a stereotype when the stats are used to generalize... each human being is an individual. not a number
Then what use are statistics to you then? There's a reason why women profile men and avoid them on streets late at night instead of getting to know the individual prior to judging them.
@Juxtapose whats that got to do with it... there's a reason that the stats exist but to suggest its because black men dont give a damn about kids is a racist idea... lets look at the enviroment in which black communities in america are still segragated too, lets look at lack of oportunity, poverty and poorer education in those areas before targetting individuals because of their skin colour or gender
idgaf about their supposed disadvantages. You are 100% responsible for your own actions and there's no excuse for impregnating a woman and then leaving her.
@wankiam That's true, however, but human behavior can be easily categorized into numbers when there is a repeated prevalence of a given behavior or trait. That's why they're stats. It then becomes a stereotype by definition: "a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing". Some of those ideas are more statistically based than others. Some ideas are just lingering misjudgments. Unfortunately, the unwed birth rate is not a misjudgment, it's a stat. By the way, here are the stats in the United States Race/Ethnicity Married UnmarriedAfrican American/Black 30.3% 69.7%American Indian/Alaska Native 33.5% 66.5%Asian/Pacific Islander 85.6% 14.4%Hispanic/Latina 47.4% 52.6%White 71.2% 28.8%Keep in mind, this is also related to wealth and income status, not merely race. All the reports I've read on the subject emphasize that as well.
so in australia they wanted to build a new fighter jet... to save money they didn't want an adjustable seat so built it with a seat based on a position defined by averages of all their fighter pilots... when built not one of them could fly the plane... thats the only point im making here and why i still prefer to see people as individuals rather than a stat.
@wankiam The impression that they "don't care" about their kids is based on the fact that they don't wed. I'm not aware of any studies or stats that address the question: "Do unwed fathers in the black community "care" about their biological offspring" ? That's a can of worms. The presumption is, if you don't mentally, emotionally and economically support them, then you don't really care. And that, is an entirely different set of numbers.

Well this has such racist overtones, when the real reason is education and socio-economic status. But the US also has lower than average IQ itself so what would I expect...
@Archerer Actually, there is something interesting to observe in the average IQ in the US looking state-by-state.The northern States which are predominantly white have a higher average than states that have predominant black and/or Latino.
That's the thing, all this stuff is really OBVIOUS and the scientific data clearly backs it up, but yet you're "racist" if you "believe" in it. The idea that there are socio-economic factors that account for the IQ gap, THAT is the debunked conspiracy theory.
Science says that different racial groups have different average IQ'sDon't be a science-denier.
I haven't denied anything, my point is it isn't important, and it has racist overtones to examine that way. It leads to racism, the facts aren't racist. If you understand that the difference is in outliers not the majority then it wouldn't matter. For every Black person with a below average IQ there's a meth smoking unemployed Cuck living in a trailer park with 6 kids and a chain smoking fat wife too. Seems like everyone close to Canada is smarter :')
commons.wikimedia.org/.../...ace_and_Ethnicity.pngMost humans are still somewhere in the middle. And the differences are education and socio-economic, sometimes they mean less and sometimes more. I hope Asians wouldn't talk about white people the way you talk about black people. That is what I mean. And there's probably hundreds of thousands of black people way smarter than you, but the way you speak makes me think you automatically think you are better than them, when the reality is that just by looking at one individual, you probably couldn't say anything about their IQ.
The sad thing is, yesterday I asked my mother about my sister's dating choices. (I asked that because they're both under 25 and have had so many failed relationships.) I said, "Do you think they're good at picking boyfriends?"She responded, "Relationships are hard and you never know what will happen in them."She went on a rant, but I brought her back to my main question after about 10 minutes... 😂 Her answer was "no". And I know why. She gets very defensive about this stuff because it's reflective of her life choices. Even if someone presented evidence to her that her dating choices have led to generally more suffering than if she were to make better ones, she'd still push it off and blame it on the circumstance as if it's something out of her control. So she and my sisters can't see the dangers of their choices. To them, they were good men that turned bad. And that it was unavoidable if they wanted to try and have a relationship.
Omg i am sorry for you
stupidest thing i've seen. Just because this has happened to 3 guys out of millions doesn't mean you need to generalize
Wrong. In the 1960's 20% of black households didn't have a father in the picture and that was considered very high. It is now up to 70%. So no, it's not a stereotype. And if by "most of those kids" you mean a very small percentage than OK. You should just stfu honestly, quit spreading misinformation and hate for cops
This is not rude or racist. It is true in inner cities. This is what i belive brings the minority crime rate to rise so dramaticly. The nuclear family does work better on the childs chances of not being imprisioned. But i think the reason is that they are taught being a "player" is so cool. The ones that stay are real men. The ones that go are cowards. Good question this is how you shrink the gap of inequality, by speaking about real problems and gaining ideas to fix it.
it's not racist ifd you truly try to know more about that
