A like a smaller government who doesn't make up random shit as they go along and decide to enforce said random made up shit. I want the police to be held more accountable. I want taxes to be lessened
No taxation without representation. Freedom of speech. Freedom to own weapons to defend agaisnt the government. I want representives to represent and not govern. I want a voting process with electric counters and not humans who can be corrupted and unreliable. I want all laws to be consulted with citizens before they're added. I want peope to be allowed to do whatever the hell they want to as long as it doesn't harm anyone. I want people to be held responsible for lies and misinformation and slander of/about others. I want pedophiles, rapist, and murderers to have the same punishment (death). I wan't all races, all ethnicities, all sexes to be treated equal legally. I want trails by a jury of my peers. I want to be innocent until proven guilty. I want property to be siezed only after I give my permission or I am proven guilty. I want searches and procedures to be carried out only under emergency circumstances, legal arrest, given permission, or cout ordered by judge AND jury. I want the freedom to protest and petition the government. I want the government to leave their nose out of our fucking business. I want freedom of religion so long as that religion doesn't instruct people to harm others. I want the seperation of Church and state, no laws should govern how the church supports it's community and how the community supports their church unless it harms others. I want immigrants to be considered legal US citizens after learning American history, culture, basic English and taking a vow to uphold the constitution, defend fellow Americans, and be dedicated to keeping America free. I want anyone who renounces their oath to America, refuses to pledge allegiance, burns the flag, or shows defiance to the US and it's people and constitution to be exiled and declared a non-US citizen after a proper arrest and trial. I want citizens to have the right to fight against unlawful arrest at the time it's happening. I want citizens to be able to be able to arrest others who are witnessed breaking the law. I want people to be able to defend themselves, others, and property against ANYONE. I want some sort of "citizen justice" law where someone may act take justice for an illegal act that they have witnissed or have evidence that said illegal act was preformed, as an example: I witness someone break in my house, beat me within an inch of my life, and kill my dog. I may kill the actors who carried out such acts at any point in time until the person is arrested and tried or confesses to their act and seeks my forgiveness and rights the wrong in a way that I and them agree upon within reason determined by an ubiased third party. I tech corporations to not have so much power over people and spy on people. I want private businesses to be able to refuse service from anyone for any reason. I want private businesses to not be rquired by law to meet quotas for hiring certain people. I want private businesses to be free to hire anyone they want to, and free to not hire anyone they want to. I want there to be a "no quota" law for first responders and military. There's a lot to change and improve. We used to be free, but then peope started listening to the government telling them what to do. Project Infektion has really taken off. We're about to literally be ruled by a socialist regime with connections to pedo sex rings and big tech and a new world order. All because we got fattened up by fast food, we became lazy, tv programs brainwashed us, and we don't resist unless it's to further the agenda of person who wants power and control.

On the US government's best day, I still wouldn't trust it to prepare a sack lunch, much less anything important.
The US government is by design bureaucratic and therefore slow to act. This was intentional in order to prevent a rapid abuse of power, but the growth of government has exploded ever since WW2, . While it was originally intended to be mostly a meritocracy, it has traditionally been a "spoils system" (aka corrupt) since the mid-early 1800s.
Although just the tip of the iceberg, some major modern problems include:
- A "revolving door" relationship between the media and government, creating what is effectively a propaganda wing that has destroyed objective journalism.
- Career politicians with virtually no real world experience being put into committees they aren't qualified for.
- The bulk of both major parties would rather see the nation devastated than allow their opposition a victory, even when it can be an easy bipartisan victory.
- Either major party can pretty effectively ignore the constitution as long as the aforementioned media can convince the population into believing it's a necessary or proper decision rather than first passing an amendment to legalize the act. While this should theoretically be blocked by the supreme court, past failures by the Supreme Court to crush unconstitutional action has created a precedent for doing so, and precedent itself is often used as justification in court rulings.
Then you've got the parties themselves... One of them is a bloated hive mind that will happily say anything to appeal to anyone while selling out the country and anything else that doesn't actually belong to them while pushing nonsensical agendas in the pursuit of power. The other one is only held together by mutual opposition to the other party, has the collective spine of a jellyfish, and often fails miserably to communicate with even their own base due to lagging understanding of modern media and culture. The "third parties" are all a joke, too tunnel-visioned to ever become competitive, and frankly wouldn't actually be any better if they had a comparable share of power.
A summary of some changes that should be made (but probably never will without a massive culling that definitely won't ever happen):
- Decimation of political parties. Treat politicians colluding with each other outside of the capitol building in official, recorded sessions as a white collar crime worthy of potential impeachment and removal.
- Force elected officials to consent to heavily monitored, publicly visible income while in office. If a single dime higher than their allotted salary makes it into their accounts while occupying an elected seat, it's off to prison with them.
- Implement an "up or out" policy for elected officials.
- Massive cutbacks in existing government agencies and initiatives; eliminate or dissolve redundant agencies, and ban government payouts to companies or insitutions without an exchange of goods and services.
- The military is another page worth on its own, but in short, redesign how funding is allotted so that the military itself gets more say in what exactly gets funded rather than congress.
It needs to give free healthcare to everyone like every single other developed country in earth. It’s embarrassing.
I have many opinions but I don't like to talk politics anymore.

Going through turbulent times right now, what with the effectively 3rd world-escue elections.
I kinda stopped caring about politics around the time the riots started happening and Trump went for the photo op at that church.
Everything's so fucked up and anytime it seems like a change can happen, somehow it gets thwarted.
Like what's the one thing we all liked that Trump was gonna do? Get us out of Iraq. And every time he almost got it done, at the last second, some random member of his cabinet would be like "oh no we can't do that, we got all this stuff to do!" and then we'd end up sending people back.
But you don't really hear much about that in the news and if you do they try to find a way to twist it.
And what about Bernie sanders and Andrew yang and all these other democrats which people are so much more willing to support.
Bernie is like a straight up communist and I still know hard right people who were willing to vote for him over Trump... Why was he not put up for election or Andrew?
Like, isn't it kind of insane that there were two people the country seemed to agree would have been acceptable candidates for presidency but instead we got two people almost no one thought were good options?
It kind of reminds me about a history teacher I had who told me that the founding fathers really didn't want our country to become a two party system and now I see why. It's FUBAR at this point. Congress has conceded most of its power to the executive branch and merely spends its time pandering to plutocrats. Plus, government agencies have taken control and dictate much of domestic policy and all foreign policy.
Corporations and global elites now pretty much run the show - think Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderbergers, World Economic Forum, etc.
And mainstream media - all owned by mega-corporations - serves as a means of social engineering. It is equal to state-run propaganda. Some thing I think of every other government. A government or body of leadership became necessary many years ago. Much like many necessary things in life, it not without its dangers. My issue isn't the government itself. My issue is that we don't have a large group of unified citizens to create accountability and enforce it in our government. So our government is very much full of evils. So long as people are unwilling or able to look past their political their chosen side of the political isle and accept the harsh realities that come with doing so, nothing will change. We also will never fix a large number of issues that we have had for many generations.
I don't particularly like it and the last few years have really highlighted the urgent need for change. There is so much corruption within the American government today and we are ill-equipped to properly handle it. Many things have been left to honor when it really needs ironclad laws, because people today just don't seem to care about honor.
i think the current government is horrible, and i think the justice system in this country is truly heinous... and trump is the leader of that justice system
We need to remove the two major parties and put a new party in place
Or how about have no fucking parties at allLol it didn't need a change but the fraudulent election seems to do it anyway
As an outsider I see it as being in perpetual gridlock due to partisanship. But a wise man (I think it was Churchill) said people get the government they deserve.
Well I'm Canadian, and all the trade protectionism lately has been making us do more business with China, which I don't like.
You folks should remember who your Allies are instead of turning inwards and letting the commies win.It needs major changes. The U. S. government is highly divided. A nation like that will fail.
You're not gonna like my answer, so I'd better say nothing
Corrupt as fuck. Both sides.
I used to have more faith in it.
Needs a lot of work.
