Unpopular opinion, Hitler was a very good leader and had amazing leadership skills , but he used it for evil. Thoughts?

Well, it depends on how do you define a leader.

He rised up a morality of people in a state in a very fragile period.
He was a very good speaker, motivator. I think that would be his greatest skill. He had some very good economic ideas, too.

On the other hand, he was an awful war strategist. He was responsible for death of a lot of people who were not Germans in his own country and was a massive opponent of some human rights, which are basic for one law state. Aside that many soldiers died in a war (which is standard), during his rulership, atmosphere of paranoia, isolation, hatred, discrimination and fear was everywhere in Germany. Even kids turned against their patents.

Also, he is a crucial example of state interest above people interest. He had an idea of people who are mind less servants for country, instead of country that is made to serve people. That's a modern day slavery and a model of disutophia society.

Since you are using”good” here as effective, we don’t need to judge based on morality. I would call him an effective motivator. He was highly charismatic so he could steer people any direction he wanted. But he wasn’t a good leader.

People point to the unprecedented economic growth under his rule. However, that was not good leadership. That was plundering one country after another, stealing their gold and other resources and enslaving parts of those populations. It’s debatable how fast the economy and military would have grown without conquests.

Another critical factor is that he let country get destroyed and millions killed rather than give up power by surrendering. That’s power, not leadership. The German people suffered far more than they benefited under Hitler.

I wouldn’t say that he was a good leader... he was given total control over a nation and look what came of it.
He was intelligent and very persuasive... but I don’t believe he was a good leader. wouldn’t something good need to come of your leadership to be considered a “good leader”?

A good leader gets people to follow because of the brilliance of their ideas. A good leader does not get people to follow by sending the secret police to kill or imprison anyone who doesn't do what he says or who even says a negative word about him. A good leader does not demonize one or more groups and get people to follow him by encouraging people to feel hatred and mistrust for those groups and pitting groups against each other. A good leader ensures the success and the happiness of the people he leads, niot just the select few in his inner circle.

It's easy to say look at all these people who follow me because I'm such a great leader when it's commonly known anyone who doesn't follow will be killed. Leading by fear of death if you don't follow does not constitute amazing leadership skills.

I agree with you that Hitler was an evil man, but he got an entire nation to change their morals and to go along with his Ideology that’s Jews are evil. If you watch interviews and documentaries on this topic you will see that German people took on this ideology out of free will > mainly because of propoganda and because they felt pressurized because everyone around them started believing that Jews are evil. Hitler was one man > you go stand infront of your nation and try to convince them that for example all animals are evil and should be put in concentration camps. people would probably laugh at you and brush you off. Don't you see the inherent contradiction in your logic? Taking on the ideology because you been lied to via propaganda and feel pressured and scared of not wanting to stand out as a non-believer IS NOT believing something out of free will. It's believing something out of fearing the consequences if you don't. We'll never know how many people believed cause they think Hitler was right about the Jews and how many believed it because you don't dare disagree with the Fuhrer but I bet the latter included more people than the former. That's the power of group think. Everyone is scared to be the first to dissent so no one actually does but there is nothing about that that is based on free will. And that's not being a good leader when people follow you out of fear and by being fed lies.

If I stood in front of a nation and made that claim about animals being evil, I can guarantee you not a single person would be laughing at me if they knew doing so would make them "disappear" the next day. I can make anyone agree with me that goats can talk and cows can fly if I put a gun to their head.

I really believe you are not truly understanding the environment the Nazi party created and the absolute fear of being viewed as a non-believer and running afoul of the SS. I really think you need to do more research.

Not really, he got into power because German people were at the ends of their wits due to Great Depression.
He was in the right place at the right time, he was a largely unsuccessful politician for at least a decade before that.

And he wasn't a great military commander either, Germany could have won WW2 if it wasn't for his mistakes fueled by brainless narcissism.
The main ones being his failures on the Russian front, declaring war on the USA and his failed attempts to secure naval supply lines.

I believe he had good leadership qualities but bad moral character and intentions. I mean the German people are dignified and smart and Hitler got the masses to follow him blindly... I understand that the Great Depression maybe played in Hitlers advantage but it does not change the fact that the Germans knew what was happening and they chose to support Hitlers leadership nonetheless all because he put the country first and wanted what was best for his country -even at the detriment of others. Wouldn’t this be considered a good leader? Someone that puts their people first and someone who is able to lead the masses?

You're confused.

Hitler's circle was actually better than him. He was a just a good orator is all. But even that skill he was taught from another. Himmler wrote most of his speeches and actually did most of the legwork as well as run the death camps. Goebbels and the others each were very good at what they did too.

In reality, Hitler didn't really do much of anything that he's given credit for. If the Nazi's were a football team, Hitler was the marketing department.

Nope, he didn’t calculate well. His country got raped and split into pieces. They didn’t become a full sovereign country until 1991 as a result. Many had to suffer under communism, which is why there was a rise in fascism to begin with prior to WWII. Hitler not only fucked over minority populations, but he lead his people to a horrible defeat and put the true heirs of the Roman empire in shambles for many years.
