Actually, if you listen to the whole 1 hour discussion, it is a bit more ambiguous than the little 3 minute snippet suggests. No matter, the merits of the case against Mr. Trump may be debated.
Nevertheless, could the Biden administration pursue a criminal case against Mr. Trump after Mr. Biden in sworn in as President? Theoretically yes, but again the case - when you hear the whole tape is less open and shut. More to the point, it would take all the oxygen out of the new administration's agenda.
Thus it is not likely that the Biden Justice Department would pursue the matter. Already Mr. Biden's tenure as president-elect has been weirdly overshadowed by the current incumbent and given the narrow margins in both House of Congress, the last thing the new administration would want is for the previous President - already something of a glory hound - to be the center of attention.
To make Mr. Trump the spectacle of the first 100 days of a Biden presidency would do the new administration no favors. Indeed, it would be rehashing old fights - this even more problematic given Mr. Biden's stated desire to be a "healer."
So it is time for those who dislike Mr. Trump - and I would add that I am no fan of the current incumbent - to stop banging their spoons on their high chairs. The emotional catharsis that would come from putting Mr. Trump in the dock would quickly be overshadowed by the inability of the Biden team to be overheard above the noise and thus make the case for its' own agenda.
Thus indeed, the Biden team is unlikely to try to attempt it. Moreover, as already noted, the case is not quite the "open and shut" argument that a superficial reading of three minutes of the 1 hour transcript suggests. About the most, given the high profile of the incumbent and the highly divided opinions on him would yield is a hung jury.
Hardly worth the price to the Biden team. What is more, given that in two years the GOP will likely take control of Congress if historical patterns hold, with the Hunter Biden scandal floating out there, the new Biden Administration will not want to do anything to ruffle feathers by pursuing a legal case of at least - contrary to the question's premise - some ambiguity.
In short, time to put the Trump chew toy away and get on with the serious business of governing. In the long run, it will matter more.

I read the story you cited. Of course, the Huffington Puffington post is not an unbiased reporter of anything. It refers to threats that Trump made but it never says what the threats were. And it refers to "excerpts" of a recording. I could probably take excerpts from many threads on this site and make it look like people are threatening each other.
Something tells me you haven’t listened to it yet. But I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. He clearly states that his supporters will not be happy. And there’s an election on Tuesday, and if he plays along, he would earn respect that could help him win. He’s strong arming him with threats of Maga supporters.

And that election is in a couple days. And that he’ll gain respect if he finds 11000 votes. During the phone call he claims votes are off by hundreds of thousands, which has been thrown out by the courts. And urges the secretary to just give him 11k votes.

states have prisons too-he could conceivably be facing charges in Federal Court and both NY and GA State Courts. All three entities operate prisons. Federal trial would "trump" state charges and go first. I do not know the mechanics of which State Court would get to try him next-assuming Guilty verdicts in all 3 he would serve Federal first. Im not sure which state would then get to incarcerate him and which state have to wait until the sentences for the first 2 were served. Odds are he would die in Federal Prison as he is morbidly obese
Again, it is highly unlikely the Federal government will do anything to Trump. In a Federal election, he got 74 million votes. So the public has clearly said despite the laws he broke, they do not care.
States are different because states only have to pay attention to the vote in their state. If New York goes after him, well we know that the clear majority of New York's citizens voted against him.
No because he didn't threatened or bribe anyone he just asked them to find the votes. I don't really like Trump and i think he needs to move on and just accept defeat but the law doesn't have shit on him and they are just trying to bully him as par usual down to there personal dislike for him.
So not trying to justify the asshole by any means. I wish I could say that I'm surprised, but to be honest he's already done so much worse than just this latest stunt. I would love for him to go into prison for all the crimes he's committed both in and out of office. I would just like to point out that, Biden had semi-truck fulls of ballots voting for him being moved from state to state, and Trump has a legal right to ask for a ballot recount. If anything the entire election should be thrown out and redone and everyone should be required to do it in person.
Oh and another note you may take into consideration when reading the trash the media is putting out about Trump, China has been influencing it because China owns it and wants to be able to sell stuff made by slaves. The United States has serious laws about how the US isn't allowed to do business with anyone that participates in slavery. A Vote for Biden is a Vote for Slavery

@ChefPapiChulo exactly. saddam hussein also didn't go to prison. he was murdered. as a president, you either die of old age in freedom, or you're murdered. i don't see presidents go to prison a lot. not even the worst ones.
True. Presidents get away with anything. Even if they went to prison, they wouldn't be in nearly the same category as everyone else: They'd just pay for a private house inside of prison, basically, and would live more comfortable than most of us on the outside.
Not many prisoners have earned that luxury. Actually none of them have. Leaders of countries are educated people who have made great sacrifices and put themselves in harms way. They’re not people like you and me. They do deserve better and that includes trump. But there is a certain threshold of corruption that cannot go unpunished. And if trump is proven to be as menacing as it seems, he must face the consequences.
@ChefPapiChulo well you can choose which of 2 mafia bosses that threatten you you wanna pay protection money to xD it's quite similar to that situation. only those that run campaigns are not like you and me. so you and me can't choose anyone to vote for that will act in our interest.

i guess at least we got to a point, where "for most people" death from starvation and homelessness are not things they have to fear.

The call was guilty as well as attempt to influence under Georgia State Law-Trump may not just do time in Leavenworth (Federal) and Attica (New York) He might get to see the inside of Georgia's Penal Institutions as well. I'm sure the prisoners at all these palaces of correction are positively THROBBING with EXCITEMENT over their new comrade!! He will make many new friends!
I didn't know about his threat because I hadn't listened to it. I've just heard about it today. I know there are plenty of people eager to see him in handcuffs.
There isn’t any real way to sensationalize it. If someone comes and tells you hey your house is on fire. Whether they scream it or say it calmly makes no difference I’m still going to be concerned
