We hook up, then he ignores me during school.

There's a guy that I've been hooking up with multiple times when we hang out together on the weekends. It's great fun and all and we definitely have an emotional as well as physical connection, but even the next day (Monday) I'll go to school. and I have two classes with him by the way and all my Lunches with him. and he completely ignores me. Doesn't wave, doesn't say hi, doesn't strike up a conversation, doesn't touch/hug me. Nothing. Unless I initiate it. And when I do he acts completely normal.

Normally I would've thought he would've been getting with me strictly for the sake of "getting some" because of his actions during school. but the thing is, I KNOW that he really really likes me. He tells all of his friends that constantly, how much he does. And he told me a couple weeks ago before the first time we even kissed.

My friends told me to ignore him and see if he comes chasing after me. but he's not really. It's only been a day of me doing that really, but it's putting me on the edge because he ISN'T COMING UP TO TALK TO ME STILL, even AFTER I stopped initiating conversations.

Maybe he's just not capable of expressing emotion. There are quite a few people like that, who because of childhood trauma have suppressed all or nearly all their emotions. It may take professional therapy to deal with this and even then,no gurantee he will ever be 'cured.'

My advice would be to tell him that and see how he reacts. If he won't at least try to get help then you need to cut loose.

It's been a day, and you're already overreacting? Try 2 weeks, then overreact. Why don't you just ask him why he doesn't talk to you at school instead of fueling this ridiculous game of guessing.

You say "hook up", is he your boyfriend? Are you two in an exclusive relationship or is this just FWB? Maybe he feels no obligation to acknowledge you because you guys haven't established what type of relationship you have. You could just be a really good friend whose "giving it up". So he responds with affection when you approach him, but has no idea that you expect more from him at school.

He could be confused as well. What is missing here is communication - does he know how you feel? Maybe he's just acting the way he thinks YOU want him to act? Talk to him, sweetie, that is the only way to clear this up.
