Flirting

He talks to me online but ignores me at school?

I guess he's kinda flirting with me. We've been talking through Facebook ever since I told him I thought he was the cutest latino in P. E class (2-3 weeks ago). We're both in the same high school, we share 3 classes together and we're 16. He asks me stuff like on a scale of 0 to 10 how cute he is, what I think of him, my opinion about how he looks like and he asks me a lot of questions about myself, saying that he wants to know more about me. He even told me he likes girls who have tanned skin like mine and that I had nice hair. I'm always the one texting him first though and I wonder if maybe I'm being clingy. The thing is he only talks to me online and never in class. He only talked to me once in P. E class and we talked once on the phone but ever since, nothing. When I asked him about it he said it was because he forgets I'm in his classes but I know it's not true because sometimes I catch him looking at me in class and our desks are close enough to notice each other's presence. Is he too shy to talk to me? Also, when I asked him if we could hang out some time after school, he told me he wouldn't mind but he's always busy doing homework, going to the gym or hanging out with other friends after school and that some days he likes to relax at home doing nothing. I felt as if he was finding excuses not to see me. Is he just flirting with me for fun or does he really have some kind of crush on me? Maybe he prefers just talking to me online than in person? Should I go talk to him myself? Should I stop talking to him a few days on Facebook and wait for him to do it? I'm really confused and I need help.
