He talks to me in person but ignores my texts?

Hi there. I had a question regarding a guy I like. Im new to this school and I developed a huge crush on this guy, but heard a lot of girls like him as well. But anyways, I contacted him through instagram and asked to be friends because i was too nervous to ask him in person, he responded 2 minutes later agreeing to be friends, we had a little talk and it ended there. Ever since that day, he's been ignoring my messages so I just stopped messaging him. Its been 23 days, and a few days before he swore he'd message me back but never did. It kinda upsetted me, and still upsets me. He talks to me at school thoigh sometimes which confuses me. He seems to get a little nervous as well around me, for instance he will mess with his hair. I went to his basketball game, he kept staring at me as well. Im sorry if this is confusing y'all, things I try to explain usually doesn't make sense. Note: He also talks to other girls, and messages them, so im just really confused and tired of feeling this way. Any help?

I kinda relate to the guy, I would text this girl in school that I like. I was a senior and she was sophomore. We hit it off well, always talking on the phone and on MySpace but slowly stopped. I would get frustrated because I personally lack the confidence or struggle with holding a conversation since she gives out one word responses or don’t have much to say. Also back then anime on TV had me distracted and games which I’m sure he’s probably doing the same. But one day I stop messaging because she barely wanted to talk. So I over think at a point it was a hour, 10 hours, a day, weeks and then with me being paranoid not knowing what to say I just stopped because at this point she probably hated me. I mean if you like the guy and want to give him a chance I say give him an actual call on the phone and just have normal conversation. If anything ask what have he been doing lately? Ask what’s his passion and if it’s games for example show interest even if you’re not. He probably either nervous guy or maybe a douche.

I wouldn't invest too much into him. Because he probably flirts with other girls and it seems you're catching feelings. You will go through a few boyfriends and crushes at that age.

I know it seems really big but in 2 years you won't even care about it.
