Boyfriend wants to take me on vacation on his dime?

So as stated before my bff and I have gotten quite close recently. We are going on a vacay together before he deploys this fall/winter. When he comes back in four months he told me he really wanted to go on another one. This one he wanted to do somewhere tropical and I told him I'm not rolling in the money so probably not be able to go. He said that he would take care of all of it all I had to do was say the word. So what's up with him taking me for some much needed R&R on his dime out of the country no less?

He probably wants to make the best for your vacation by treating you to an expensive retreat on him. You could always pay him back the next trip you guys go on. Situations like this happen all the time and the guys just want the women to feel special and appreciated. I'd accept the vacation while you can and just repay him with the next trip.

yeah except we are going dutch on this one and he wants to take me on like a $2500 vacay which he knows I will never be able to return EVER

Hmm well in that case I'd try to persuade him to try a cheaper trip and save up to go on a better one next time. Would you guys be splitting 2500 or will that be the total for each of you to pay? If the second one is the case, definitely try to get him to wait until money is better.
