Yeah, when you use a gun to "end a conflict" typically it's because it never started. Two or three people are acting squirrely and follow you. You get an itch and show you're holding, they move on to someone else. It just isn't worth the risk.
The problem most people who haven't owned or carried guns have is an image. Your head is filled with this rambo image of gun owners. By and large legal gun owners just want to go to the range, go hunting, and be left the hell alone. No rambo, no big shootouts. No one wants that except people who have never fired a weapon or been fired at before.

@razelove the guns must be owned by institutions not by individual people.
If you want to hunt, ok, but not whit your gun and you need to give it back when you get out of the hunting zone.
If you just want to shot and use one for fun then go to a poligon, take one, use it in there and give it back to the person you had take it.

No it isn’t up to you because you don’t live here or vote. I do and politicians here know you try and take guns they’ll have a very short career in politics. It’s not ever going anywhere. The liberals just keep it a hot button topic to keep Americans divided

@Pterodon I kind of hope it does, I'm thinking FFL for 2022, and with any gun law, or simply the threat of it in the air, sales will soar. Just buy in bulk, then sell to want ads online. No physical storefront besides a garage with a safe as required for the FFL.

@Pterodon I think it's why the NRA isn't putting up any real fight this time around. They know the best champion for more gun owners is their "opponent". Last few gun shows, and ammo binges I had were crazy, also inspired a lot of hope. Usually they're so white I fear for my eyes from the glare, pretty even mix of people buying vests, SMGs, rifles, and handguns this time around though. A couple booths shut down early because they actually ran out of stock. That's fucking crazy.
@razelove I know. Ammo is crazy expensive and rare. The only ammo I could find online through Ammoseek for my 270 was the Remington CoreLokt 150gr RN. Normally it’s about $14 a box but it was going for almost $50 a box. That was the only 270 available
@Pterodon Just keep hitting walmart and academy. Early, pay off someone doing stocking if you have to. Their prices are low, the same ammo you buy gets bought quick from them, then sold online. I need to switch from.308 match to SJHP. .270 is nice though, I just prefer.308 because the ballistics are similar, but it's cheaper. Bleh, also a lot of 9mm, but common rounds like 9mm or 5.56 are the truly crazy ones right now.
