It's a gender equality issue because women in Yemen are treated extremely poorly.
Feminism at its core is to get equal rights for women. A lot of people have a negative view of feminists because of either fear of having to share in the power structure or because of radical feminists who take things to the extreme and really don't do us any favors. I am a feminist who believes in conversation and finding middle ground.
In any case, where we see this kind of unbalance in the social structure and see those who want to get out from under it, we can do our part to help be the ones to spread their voice. Hopefully it explains why it is a gender equality issue.

In Canada, 1 in every 10,000 woman who give birth will die from it so maternal health is not purely a gender profile issue, it’s also been shown that even slight discrimination or social profiling can double the risk of low maternal birth weight of the child and woman in less wealthy countries might have low pregnancy weights leading to an increase of birth complications. Also the fact that woman in Yemen might eat less meat than woman in other countries.
I looked up some stats and did a little calculating. Taking into account birthrate, life expectancy, gender of course. It comes out to around and I'm rounding down also, 1 out of every 6,300 pregnancies ends in death. Now I'm gonna throw a curve ball in here. Saudis Arabia has been bombing Yemen now for 6 years "officially" since their civil war which is just a Saudi invasion started. The rates of death due to complications in America is 1 in 10,700 calculated the same way, just rough but hey, you gotta ask yourself will Feminists in America stop supporting Saudi Arabia and Israel? Because that is definitely the biggest factor, you know, your country being bombed. Just a thought.
So she's blaming mother nature on... Men? I guess feminism WOULD stop all (self-respecting, masculine) men from coming near you, wouldn't it? However, she's from a third-world toilet like Yemen, so she probably doesn't even understand what modern feminism is, or why it's so awful.

Haha it's not.. Just another issue for feminist organizations to capitalize off of.. Not that that's not a serious issue, but that they'll find a way to make a profit..
its 100% bullshit like 100% of rest of "gender equality issues".
Male unemployment is higher than female unemployment year after year
95% of people killed in war or at work are men
More women are getting college degrees than men every year
women control over 80% of discretionary spending
many scholarships and job programs for women onlySure... in some backwards countries in the world... they do need it.
Not in the west though.
The women in the USA, Canada, England, France, Germany... etc. have equal rights but screech and bitch like they are poor victims. The Equal Rights fight was finished decades ago but woke college professors still try to wind up women today to be awful... as if there is some huge issue they are still battling. It is not. That woman's intelligence, if translated in electricity, wouldn't be able to light up a LED diode.
That apart, gender equality is a dumb concept brought forward by women who want MORE, not the same as dudes.Probably because in Yemen only men can be doctors and men cannot examine women who they are not married to which means women generally don't get proper medical care in Yemen for religious reasons. In Yemen women are disposable.
Yemen is a shithole country. that's a human rights issue feminism isn't really needed in the USA. if anything woman in the USA are on welfare socialism and fiscally. and again it only need it 3rd world and 2nd world countrys
I have no idea how this is a gender equality issue. For one thing… Men cannot give birth!
Bro how tf are we supposed to tell you based on a just this picture? Literally all context and information is being left out.
I seriously wonder if most people on this site are able to tie their shoes.Maybe she said because boys are treated different than girls maybe she is saying because then that way she could become a doctor other than that I have no idea
They had almost a whole year to sabotage the birth. Well maybe like 4 since it’d probably be almost done incubating by at least five (or something I don't know) but that’s not the point
Isn't female health care a feminist concern?
Or do feminists only consider abortion as health care?
Isn't feminism supposed to fight to improve all aspects of a woman's life? How is it not? They obviously aren't getting proper medical attention resources or voices.
because men are evil and she (as a feminist) only wants lesbians to be able to have sex
Sounds more like a biological sex issue than a gender issue so far as I can tell. Also, strikes me as low on the list of problems that Yemen has at the moment.
Technically every gender or race issue shouldn’t need “equality” as it should be a foregone conclusion. But we’re human.
No, you need medical science and men who aren't stupid.
Women are not given the same medical care or education in Yemen as men. Yemen needs more feminism to push education of young girls who often do not attend school at all.
Sounds like they need better doctors.
It's not. It's a medical issues
maybe they should... stop having so many kids
