Is it normal to hate being black?

Okay I hate being black, I fucking hate it. I feel as if I being black means that I was born inferior since black people are born with bad genetics that cause us to have low IQs, higher aggression levels, low impulse control and more anti social behavior. I live in Detroit and work as an elevator installer and repairer, I seem to unfortunately have a low IQ like it seems like most people in my race have. Which means I didn’t really have the grades to go to college. I just wish I was white, I hate being black, I hate being followed when I walk into stores, I hate being asked to see a receipt when I leave a store, I hate being pulled over by police when driving. I hate getting profiled so much that I stay home and watch tv and play video games. I also hate that people think I’m violent and loud like a lot of people think Black people act. I am pretty quiet, I love the Detroit tigers and lions, I love reading history books, I love watching tv and playing video games. I am a really nice person and wish people would see that about me. I just hate being black and wish that there was a way that I could change my skin color. I hope that in the future there will be an operation that will allow me to change my skin color and make me white.

Black people aren’t inferior, whoever told you that is an absolute white supremacist neo nazi since the crux of white supremacy thrives off of that idea. Don’t let them fool you. Before white people stole Africans off their land we had kings and queens. And many dynasty’s. You can say "stole" but the reality is most of the time Europeans bought slaves from African slavers. A great autobiography is "The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano" who was an African slave in the 18th century who eventually earned his freedom. It is a compelling read if you ever get the opportunity, and offers a very unique insight on slavery in Africa, Europe, and America, since he experienced it from all three.

@Celtero Africans did not start slavery, that’s a huge myth and I’ll debunk it. The Atlantic slave trade from Africa to America was different from any other type of slavery that had existed before. Since a person being labeled as a slave because of the color of their skin was a lifetime sentence.

Slavery in most other cultures around the world had slaves but criminals would often be enslaved, people who owed debts where enslaved until they could work of those debts, and other slaves were prisoners of war. The Europeans that colonized America were already enslaving and killing the natives that lived there.

the African kings and merchants that did sell their slaves to America for weapons and other goods had no way of knowing the brutality that the Europeans where capable of, nor that their fellow Africans would be used to essentially breed a new slave race in America. Europeans acted of their own accord when bringing African slaves to america. The African war loras they bride cannot be absolved of responsibility, but the creation of a system of generational slavery that justifies the owner of another human being based solely off the color of their skin. That’s a European invention.

In the Berlin conference of 1884 where leaders from 13 European countries, plus the US and Ottoman Empire decided to hold a conference in Berlin to decide what countries got to rule various regions of the African continent. Belgium’s king Leopold decided that Africa was the next big territory that needed to be exploited for its natural resources and land. Germany’s chancellor Otto Von Bismarck decided that rather than go to war over it, it would be more civil to call a meeting with the 15 countries to divide it up.

Do you want to know how many African leaders where there when that happened? Absolutely zero.

The scramble for Africa marked a 20 year period of pillaging, exploiting, dividing and conquering nearly every part of the African continent to establish territories for material gain and power for seven European nations.

By 1975, more than 40 African countries had finally gained independence through war, diplomacy, and protest. But the effects of the decade long siege had a devastating impact on the African continent, which is still being felt till this day.

I could also go into detail about the lost cause and how the confederates where never ever punished for their crimes against their own country or Africans because Lincoln didn’t really care about ending slavery. He cared about keeping relationships between the union strong and so the confederates where mostly all absolved from their crimes, never punished and because of that created the lost cause movement where they basically rewrote history to try and make themselves look moral, as if they where fighting for a just cause. As if Africans loved being enslaved.

That’s probably why you think that way about slavery. But it’s just not true, don’t believe in the lies of the south that have been passed down from generation to generation threw stuff like music, ty/movies, and even the educational system as lost cause propaganda was often fed in souther schooling which is why so many white people In the south still thing the confederate flag is good and that the civil war was only for state rights and not for the ownership of people.

Mhhm, that's a good point. And that's part of the reason I mentioned that book... When he was a slave in Africa, he grew very close to his masters to the point where he considered them a family. Though, it was still terrible because he dearly missed his real family. If I recall correctly, he gets abducted again and sold to people who treated him terribly, so there's lots of contrast even within African slavery.

I just think the whole "the whites stole Africans off their land" is language and a narrative designed to inspire resentment and division.

It’s not starting division, it’s a fact. And it doesn’t really matter how it makes you feel because either way it happened and African history is only ever taught in school within the guise of slavery but we’re never taught what actually happened which is stupid.

History needs to be taught in order to prevent history from repeating itself.

There is no established or respected scientific study that can conclusively demonstrate lower cognitive performance in specific races independent of social context. My uncle is straight from Ghana and works as a contractor for a satellite company.

The experiences of being followed and viewed with suspicion comes from living in a racist society, not because they've accurate assessed you. You have nearly identical hobbies to myself and I'm white as paste.

If you ask me, American blacks have a massive cultural problem which results in the issues you've outlined. But you have to find pride in yourself and your people. Work with what you have and keep going till you reach greatness.
