Why do people make me hate being a black person?

This is a serious question I’m asking. Why are there some white people in this world who likes to whitewash a black person mind? I get tired of being told that if I was dark skinned then I would have the success in life. They turn everything from a black to white person. Everything a black person did they will turn it white. I get so tired of these white people turning everything from black to white. I had a dark skin lady to tell me that I should have married a white man because I’m not dark enough. I’m a brown skin girl and these people tell me that if I was dark skinned then my life would go right. Why do these people make me hate being a black woman?

You'll never change someone's mindset or mind.

I will say that things are different, depending where you are or live. Where I am, race has never been an issue. Skin color or race has nothing to do with how successful someone can be. Anyone can get a job, can get promoted... its not a big deal. They also don't do things like, oh this person is the first (insert race) to win or whatever.

Perhaps society gets too focused on race these days, in an attempt to make things better and could actually be making them worse.

I had a dark skin woman to tell me that I was not brown skinned but dark skinned. She said had I been her shade of color then my life would have been different

Stop thinking in colors, and see the shitty person as what they are independent of their color. No one does something because of their color of their skin, except maybe avoid to spend to much time in the sun.

Black women are being deleted by the Advertisers. With few exceptions black men are shown with white women, white men are shown with white women or Asian women. Black women are usually shown alone. Sucks.

Means whatever you do, a person around you with that similar mindset will instead tell someone else that a white person did that instead of you. you can have a black girlfriend but instead they will paint her to be white while telling everyone else she’s white not black.

It’s not overthinking when people around you make you feel you’re less valued while they paint you another race. My friend was awarded something from school and these certain individuals tried to paint her darker than what she is. I don’t think it’s fair that people with this mindset still think like this.
