@Smashingdoozy I don't fully agree with the counterarguments in this thread, but I think one fact that would be in favor of the idea that women have more bodily autonomy than men is the fact that in many western countries men cannot legally be the victim of rape because of the way the laws are worded.
That's not what bodily autonomy is. Men can legally be the victim of rape, yes the law is a bit squiffy when it comes to rape from the opposite gender (this is the same with woman on woman) but it would still be sexual assault. Not amazing but it's something. But like less than 5% of rapists get convicted anyway. The whole justice system is fucked up and that affects everyone.
Rape completely goes against bodily autonomy for everyone. Equally. But again men aren't the ones having the right to control their internal organs taken away. The only law that affects a man's bodily autonomy is the selective service. Which I personally think should be thrown out anyway. Not to mention it hasn't been used in decades, still you are forced to sign up.

Like I said I think it should be illegal. But that is a choice parents make, you are not forced. People who live in states where abortion laws are potentially going to ban them (even if they get them in another state) are being forced to have an unwanted baby. Yes circumcision is legal, yes it should be illegal but these things are different there is a choice involved in circumcision.

I didn't say that the baby chooses to. The parents do. And again for the third time I think that circumcision should be illegal to perform on babies unless medically necessary. It should be a choice that the kid himself makes when he is old enough.
