And Patriarchy exists because of -

1. Differences in opportunities.
2. Mentality of general society.

Differences in opportunities starts from home first. Since the childhood. Girl child has to struggle more for basic things. Society is more dangerous for a girl child than for a boy. There are safety concern. Always danger of molestation. Sexual abuse. And in some culture girls are seen lesser than a male child and so she has to compromise for her basic needs or nutrition even.

Because of all this a girl always tend to think like million times before making any decisions for her life and career. Even if she wants to have an education for her dream career she will think million times to go to his dream institution if its far away from her home or family. Family always tend to keep her close to them within reach.

Next the nature does injustice of inequality. Girls are physically weak and predators are stronger outside. Since girl's start getting their periods she had to struggle for having stable moods almost every day. Every day is different for her with different mood and mood swings. Her moods is driven by harmones so it's always like monthly cyclic. Some week she is in her best potential best mood best mindset and some week she herself doesn't know what's wrong with her why she is feeling so depressed. Next injustice by nature is that by making her responsible for the sexual act two person got involved together. Ofcourse there are means of protection. But if something as accident happened she has to go through all the process and struggle for 9 months and 9 months are a long period to invest in career or in her own struggle. Also nature limited her fixing her specific age for getting pregnant in case she wants to have a family she had to do during specific time frame only what age is important for her career during those days only. So she has extra burden and she always has to make balance between her dreams and her desires. And if not possible then she has to compromise.

Now next difficulty comes from the society and their mentality. Who keeps saying as women does nothing to the society contributes nothing to society and are burden over society. The people out there still say things like "you do nothing" while she is managing all household things and family. So if by chance she chose to take the role of mother and wife only then she isn't getting respect.

So either she will get respected by being successful in carrer sacrificing her dreams of having a family or she can comprise with losing her all respect being dependent on husband or partner even for basic things and can continue as per nature created it.

Being women isn't easy so I don't think patriarchy will ever go away.

There has never been a woman president, there has only ever been white male presidents, with one single exception, in nearly 250 years since the country’s inception. Congress has a 80/20 male majority. In these circumstances, how can the nation of the United States be anything but a patriarchy with such overwhelming power to the patriarchal white supremacy foundations this country was built on?

Because if men are better at one thing more than women, it’s brutally fighting and killing others. The threat of that was enough to put them into power and establish a system of power in the west all the way into the British empire, which carried over here into the US when it was nothing more than a British colony for tobacco and lumber merchants alongside religious extremists banned from Great Britain.

So how come so many women have achieved a lot in their lives if men never allowed them to do so?
Newzealand has a woman as their prime minister…. Kamala Harris was a candidate who stood against trump… and there are many more examples where women have achieved their goals… so was the world any different for them?

I am speaking specifically of the United States, don’t ask me about the history of New Zealand. And there have been dozens of female candidates for president, Harris wasn’t the first. None have won and as a result none have been remembered. And a lot of that was because the patriarchy, in the wake of the feminist movements of the last 100 years, did make sure to recognize that if they didn’t make women happy, they were going to look like assholes. Everything that is a “success” is because of the allowance of an overwhelming power structure in the patriarchy.
