I think anyone could be racist, not really restricted to one country but this question is probably coming from the recent build up in racism due to the football. I think the uk has a unique relationship with racism because it obviously went from colonialism and the generic poc are inferior to oh wow these poc actually helped out a lot during the war and we should let them immigrate here, and obviously with the windrush movement and massive immigration from asia, africa and the caribbean, people have to acknowledge differences. It’s weird because big cities have high diversity but also high hate crime rates so you can’t just say it’s rural areas. I think it’s more of a generational and class thing.
I have never faced blatant racism towards me or maybe I just don’t realise and this is london which is hailed for its diversity but i know plenty of people who have, both 20 years ago and this year who have been called slurs or whatnot.
I think many of us aren’t racist but there are a certain few who are, or maybe there are many who hate against one group instead of another. But I dunno, i feel like people would be too polite to say anything to your face unless they get riled up or they’re just plain stupid and ignorant

Seeing as I'm qualified to answer this, being English. We are no different to the rest of the world.
Some are as fascists, as you will find anywhere, others are as accepting as you will find anywhere.
Most of us though are split down the middle in that we do not wish any harm to come to people of any race, colour or creed, we just cannot take any more people in to an already overpopulated country!

In the North of England we welcome people help them get settled irrespective of race or creed, all we ask is that they work with us to solve any problems there may be, we know assimilation is not immediate and will take time and patience on both sides.

No, people are individuals, we need to keep telling ourselves that, even if the whole English population were racist except for one man, that one man does not deserve any spit because of the others, and that's even not the case.
