Actually dogs are very similar to humans.. they are only loyal bc they get something in return.. you feed them and give then shelter.. so they know they need you. I dated someone with a dog who was incredibly loyal to them but when she began to go off on the deep end with her substance problems, I begin to take care of the dog and then the dog became loyal to me and not her... she followed me every where.. slept in the room with me (we slept in separate rooms when we were at odds.. which was typically when she was being a drunken mess).. people like to think animals are better than humans when really what it is, is they're incapable of voicing what they think... the mental capacity of a dog is equivalent to a 3yo. Humans n dogs are usually only loyal if they can get something from you.. bottom line.
