Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI respect animals and dogs are awesome but if anyone reads this and you think a dog's worth is more important than a human's that individual should question themselves. Again, I don't want to see a dog in distress or in pain but I will give an example. People on GAG support Israel 100% when the state of Israel is actually an illegal state. The formation of Israel was for the purpose of Zionism created by Theodore Herzl in the late 1890s. When Israel was in the stages of being created they we don't care if we kill, torture or kick out Palestinians (Arabs) off these lands. God never blessed the Jews to have Israel because in the Torah, Orthodox Jews state it goes against their religion until a rightful moment occurs. The point i'm trying to make is that Israeli soldiers have killed men, shot kids in the head and beat up elderly women, Israeli soldiers have been doing this for over 70 years.
Christian Zionists in America will love animals such as dogs, but not give a shit about Palestinians being murdered because the media and government want Arabs to look crazy, stupid and unjust and mix religion and politics to justify that occupation. So if Israel's government strips basic human rights from Palestinians that even a dog has more of in America. What does that make Palestinians? Less than a worth of a dog? What's below a dog? Insects... Dirt? So I guess dog lovers who love Israel and hate Palestinians consider Palestinians a bug or dirt in reality. To anyone reading this who wants to give my comment a thumbs down understand something, I would not put a dog's worth over a human being even if I hate that person. But many people who are ignorant and racist or sexist won't see it that way. They will "we love dog's because dog's are caring and loveable!" My rebuttal to that is, it's easy to say that when a dog can't talk, it's easy to say that when a dog is on a leash... So in reality to people really "love" dogs or is it about control? I'm sure there are people who genuinely love dogs and animals but I know it is also based on control as well.
The same way governments, dictatorships and military want to control people, there are people who want to control their animals. Again, people may disagree with my comment and that's okay but I just find it odd that people treat dogs better then human beings.00 Reply

+1 yIt’s some sort of twisted psychological issue some people (most often women in my observations) have.
I was raised with dogs and I do believe God (or Mother Nature or whatever you believe) put them on this earth to be our companions. Most domestic dogs can’t survive long without human support. They genetically split off from the wolves about 10000 years ago. They are also one of the most intelligent animal species. Some dog breeds the same intellect as a healthy 3 year old human. They can pick up on human moods without direct interaction.
However dogs are dogs. They are not humans they are dogs. Of course I hate people who abuse innocent animals. If you beat or abuse an innocent dog you should be sent to jail. But a human life is still worth more than a 1000 dog lives. If disagree with me then you have a form of Down syndrome. Sorry but that’s the truth.
They are great for companionship but they are NOT a replacement for a real human companion. Also if they get dangerously aggressive (certain breeds) then they need to be put down. I had an issue with my neighbors loose 180lb bull mastiff and I used to (legally) have a concealed carry every time I walked to my parked car outside. It already tried to attack me once and my neighbor acted like it was “my problem” despite walking on a public road and not in its territory. If it came after me again I would defend myself with lethal force if necessary. He wasn’t the first moron dog owner I’ve met in my life either.10 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIts funny because I've heard people say that people who live dogs and really hate cats are more likely to be controlling, and narcissistic. Not all people obviously.
But it makes sense when you think about it, cats can give you a lot of love too, the only difference is that cats do things on their own terms, they aren't easily controlled.
Dogs fight for your affection, they are literally like a slave to the human, never talk back, constantly trying to please. You don't get many humans like that (or cats), and rightfully so, because if you want another human to be like this its very problematic.012 Reply

I’ve found that most “dog people” tend to fit that bill pretty well too. They seem to need some kind of control because nobody around them follows them; contrarily, cat people tend to be easier going.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yThe relationship you have with your dog is much simpler. They love you unconditionally. Have you ever seen a person as excited to see you as a dog, even when you only left to take the garbage out. I think the biggest factor, or one of them, is the fact the dogs don’t play around. They do their best to tell you exactly what they want when they want it. They don’t beat around the bush. They are not too shy to ask. They have no qualms pushing themselves in any situation to ask for a belly rub.
We should all be so confident and honest on our requests.50 Reply

+1 yHumans don't expect or want anything from dogs or pets other than their love. However, human relationships are founded on reciprocation. We expect other humans to be providing as much as us, emotionally & mentally, financially, and physically. The closest thing humans treat as well as dogs are human babies. We don't expect anything of the babies or young children. That all changes as the kids grow up and we expect more from them.
Animals also do not disagree with you on anything. The people you hang around or the partners you choose tend to have similaities with you for less drama. Similar views, interests, goals, way of communicating, sense of humor, etc. It's human nature to avoid as much negative emotions as we can in life by avoiding people that are not like ourselves.43 Reply- +1 y

They don't tell you to lose weight and they don't tell you that you're not good enough. They don't care how you look and they won't force you to change yourself. And, they're not selfish like humans, they definitely won't take you away and keep you in an environment that's different from your own and have you live by their rules or punish you for doing something that's your their nature, like humans do.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIt's a lack of empathy for other human beings. A lot of these people, they did not get enough love or attention growing up. Instead, they feel that only dogs are capable of giving "unconditional love" (when in reality, it's just food begging behaviors).
Because dogs cannot challenge them in ways humans can. They don’t hold inconvenient beliefs, call them out on their bullshit, force then to view things from a different perspective, etc. Humans grow and change and are complex while a dog after the puppy phase will remain the same. It’s a super cheap virtue to hold and requires no cost. It’s hard to have empathy for somebody who isn’t a fucking literal lapdog with unconditional affection; but nobody said empathy was supposed to be easy. It’s moral and emotional weakness to place a dog on the same hierarchical value system that pertains to humans.31 Reply

@Better_th4n_You a person who can love an animal and be selfless and share their material items with another living thing are far from stupid. K9s save humans all the time from disasters and emergencies. a poodle saved a baby from a house fire and died as a result. there are instances where dogs risked their lives to protect their owners from bears, wolves, and other wild animals. dogs are incredibly brave, intelligent, and loyal animals. one day a dog may save your ass.
- +1 y
Sure maybe there are some good dogs but vast majority of the cases all they do is barking and disturb my peaceful walk. I can’t walk three blocks in my neighborhood without getting barked at five times. Stupid dog people can’t handle humans so they turn to rabid animals. Stupid barking has made me hate dogs with a passion.

Also I find it weird that humans just control dogs lives30 ReplyIt's ridiculous, right. - +1 y
It has lol that's why the explaining as you said and compared humans and dogs behaviour
- +1 y
@Aakash_Hangargi I'm pretty sure she meant that dogs are always loyal to humans, not in their own communities. The circle of life is cruel, so of course animals in their own natural habitats behave in ways that would be considered unacceptable in our human society. For example some species eat their own babies, or kill their mates after conception, all of which are acts that would typically make a human sick to thought, because we are an entirely different species. Hence why we take a liking to dogs because they act more respectful and loyal to us, more so than how other humans treat others. So you are right, but the original comment never mentioned anything about how animals treat others of their own kind.
- +1 y
Exactly my point that nobody isn't loyal in their own kind even the unconditional love is conditional like you feed the dogs and give them world class treatment and they are dependent and domesticated sobif there wasn't anything for them in it they also wouldn't have stayed
- +1 y
@Aakash_Hangargi But they DO stay, and that's my point. If a dog is showered with affection, loved and cared for, then they will never abandon their owner. Dogs will continue to love and protect their owners and happily wag their tails whenever their owner arrives. This behavior does not apply to humans, though. You can give someone high class treatment and even sacrifice a lot for them, yet they will still betray you for no apparent reason, other than having malicious intent or "being fake". There are a significant amount of people like this and everyone will experience being with someone like this at some point in their lives, but a dog will never purposely lie, deceive, betray, or anything to harm someone out of selfish reasons like making yourself feel better because you're insecure, or gaining satisfaction from seeing someone at a low point. Of course if you are no longer feeding your dog then they will most likely leave (or attack depending on the breed), but that's common sense. Even animals know to take action when they aren't being treated properly. But that is ONLY when they aren't being treated properly. As you said they will stay for the food, attention and love. But in return they look out for you. As long as you do your part, they will do theirs. Again I say, this DOES NOT apply to humans. Anyways, my point is that we take a liking to dogs because of their loyalty, and their will to protect their owners. They won't leave you when you grow old, or endure tough challenges. --You can't say the same for humans.

I saw a video on YouTube of a middle-aged White man with a dog and harassing an Asian woman who's a YouTuber vlogger holding her parrot in the park. This must be said, just because someone loves dogs or animals doesn't mean they show the same kindness to others in society. I'm not White but for some reason in elementary, Jr. high, in high school and university with extreme White feminists were either sexist or flat out rude for implying I was stupid through an academic sense. 1) I got accepted to law schools and 2) I am doing my masters. If I harboured that much hate towards girls who rejected me or White female teachers putting me down, I would hate all girls and I would hate all White female academic instructors. But I never said fuck society entirely and I did not want that hatred to manifest inside of me because that is not healthy. I could easily say I love dogs and fuck society but how does that fix anything? Should I walk into a mall and look angry and pissed off around everyone? Doesn't seem very pleasant. We are tested in life and it's okay to have your space and privacy with those you can't stand or don't like. Absolutely, animals should be respected and loved and the same concept should be said for human beings. I am not a huge dog lover that's why I would never get one because dogs need unconditional love/attention and I don't have time for that. However, I will not frown upon dogs and dog owners. I know how to separate the two of man and animal and this has been said through different scholars and psychologists and God but I find it very odd that dogs can trust and love humans but humans can't trust or love each other that makes no sense to me. Because if dogs had the same thinking, they would just attack with their sheer bite force and rip us into shreds.
- +1 y
Dog people are simple ie stupid
- +1 y
@Better_th4n_You well I wouldn’t call dog people stupid, that’s a little harsh. To each their own. But I know girls who have completely removed the idea of a guy pursuing her because of a few bad experiences and then she gives her allegiance and love to a dog almost on a weird level. To me that’s weird. I've dealt with 15 years of BS from different girls, it never once crossed my mind to get a dog to fill that void in my life. I wouldn’t get a dog because of the immense responsibilities, but if I see a dog that a friend has I’ll pet the dog and scratch their head to be nice. I don’t want to be completely cold and distant towards animals.
