I respect animals and dogs are awesome but if anyone reads this and you think a dog's worth is more important than a human's that individual should question themselves. Again, I don't want to see a dog in distress or in pain but I will give an example. People on GAG support Israel 100% when the state of Israel is actually an illegal state. The formation of Israel was for the purpose of Zionism created by Theodore Herzl in the late 1890s. When Israel was in the stages of being created they we don't care if we kill, torture or kick out Palestinians (Arabs) off these lands. God never blessed the Jews to have Israel because in the Torah, Orthodox Jews state it goes against their religion until a rightful moment occurs. The point i'm trying to make is that Israeli soldiers have killed men, shot kids in the head and beat up elderly women, Israeli soldiers have been doing this for over 70 years.

Christian Zionists in America will love animals such as dogs, but not give a shit about Palestinians being murdered because the media and government want Arabs to look crazy, stupid and unjust and mix religion and politics to justify that occupation. So if Israel's government strips basic human rights from Palestinians that even a dog has more of in America. What does that make Palestinians? Less than a worth of a dog? What's below a dog? Insects... Dirt? So I guess dog lovers who love Israel and hate Palestinians consider Palestinians a bug or dirt in reality. To anyone reading this who wants to give my comment a thumbs down understand something, I would not put a dog's worth over a human being even if I hate that person. But many people who are ignorant and racist or sexist won't see it that way. They will "we love dog's because dog's are caring and loveable!" My rebuttal to that is, it's easy to say that when a dog can't talk, it's easy to say that when a dog is on a leash... So in reality to people really "love" dogs or is it about control? I'm sure there are people who genuinely love dogs and animals but I know it is also based on control as well.

The same way governments, dictatorships and military want to control people, there are people who want to control their animals. Again, people may disagree with my comment and that's okay but I just find it odd that people treat dogs better then human beings.

It’s some sort of twisted psychological issue some people (most often women in my observations) have.

I was raised with dogs and I do believe God (or Mother Nature or whatever you believe) put them on this earth to be our companions. Most domestic dogs can’t survive long without human support. They genetically split off from the wolves about 10000 years ago. They are also one of the most intelligent animal species. Some dog breeds the same intellect as a healthy 3 year old human. They can pick up on human moods without direct interaction.

However dogs are dogs. They are not humans they are dogs. Of course I hate people who abuse innocent animals. If you beat or abuse an innocent dog you should be sent to jail. But a human life is still worth more than a 1000 dog lives. If disagree with me then you have a form of Down syndrome. Sorry but that’s the truth.

They are great for companionship but they are NOT a replacement for a real human companion. Also if they get dangerously aggressive (certain breeds) then they need to be put down. I had an issue with my neighbors loose 180lb bull mastiff and I used to (legally) have a concealed carry every time I walked to my parked car outside. It already tried to attack me once and my neighbor acted like it was “my problem” despite walking on a public road and not in its territory. If it came after me again I would defend myself with lethal force if necessary. He wasn’t the first moron dog owner I’ve met in my life either.

Its funny because I've heard people say that people who live dogs and really hate cats are more likely to be controlling, and narcissistic. Not all people obviously.
But it makes sense when you think about it, cats can give you a lot of love too, the only difference is that cats do things on their own terms, they aren't easily controlled.

Dogs fight for your affection, they are literally like a slave to the human, never talk back, constantly trying to please. You don't get many humans like that (or cats), and rightfully so, because if you want another human to be like this its very problematic.

The relationship you have with your dog is much simpler. They love you unconditionally. Have you ever seen a person as excited to see you as a dog, even when you only left to take the garbage out. I think the biggest factor, or one of them, is the fact the dogs don’t play around. They do their best to tell you exactly what they want when they want it. They don’t beat around the bush. They are not too shy to ask. They have no qualms pushing themselves in any situation to ask for a belly rub.
We should all be so confident and honest on our requests.

Humans don't expect or want anything from dogs or pets other than their love. However, human relationships are founded on reciprocation. We expect other humans to be providing as much as us, emotionally & mentally, financially, and physically. The closest thing humans treat as well as dogs are human babies. We don't expect anything of the babies or young children. That all changes as the kids grow up and we expect more from them.

Animals also do not disagree with you on anything. The people you hang around or the partners you choose tend to have similaities with you for less drama. Similar views, interests, goals, way of communicating, sense of humor, etc. It's human nature to avoid as much negative emotions as we can in life by avoiding people that are not like ourselves.

Dogs are kind and they can be attached to humans more than humans can attach to others. Dogs always want to play with you and they want to be around you because they love you. They don't tell you to lose weight and they don't tell you that you're not good enough. They don't care how you look and they won't force you to change yourself. And, they're not selfish like humans, they definitely won't take you away and keep you in an environment that's different from your own and have you live by their rules or punish you for doing something that's your their nature, like humans do.

It's a lack of empathy for other human beings. A lot of these people, they did not get enough love or attention growing up. Instead, they feel that only dogs are capable of giving "unconditional love" (when in reality, it's just food begging behaviors).

Because dogs cannot challenge them in ways humans can. They don’t hold inconvenient beliefs, call them out on their bullshit, force then to view things from a different perspective, etc. Humans grow and change and are complex while a dog after the puppy phase will remain the same. It’s a super cheap virtue to hold and requires no cost. It’s hard to have empathy for somebody who isn’t a fucking literal lapdog with unconditional affection; but nobody said empathy was supposed to be easy. It’s moral and emotional weakness to place a dog on the same hierarchical value system that pertains to humans.

If I had to choose between saving my dogs life and the life of someone I did not know I would choose my dog every time. No clue, I find it very weird because humans are way more attached to pets than other humans. Like in movies when people are more upset when an animal is harmed and not when a human is. I’m not saying pets are less important, there’s nothing making them less or us more, but humans are strange...

Many western countries have better medical care for animals than some countries do for humans.
But here's the thing, I like my dogs and have a responsibility for them. But I don't like all people, I don't necessarily hate them I just don't know them well enough to like them. So why should I help or care for them?

I know someone who loves their dog so much bc this is their only constant in their life.. at the same time, she treats everyone in her life like trash.. she's a liar, steals, and nasty to people.. but her dog is everything to her... dogs can't talk back and that's why people would prefer an animal over a human. Dogs are the best pets hands down. Unlike cats they are loyal and friendly, good for high tier emotional support, not to mention other uses like for guarding, guiding, rescue, searching, etc. Unless it's a "killer dog" breed.
Despite all that, humans have an innate value much higher than any animal. It is a modern environmentally crazed mindset that blames everything bad on humans and hates people because of it, and they overvalue animal virtue, especially if they are vegan.
