I have distinct views on Covid 19 , my favorite countries handling of the pandemic is Sweden , I don't agree that lock downs work , and I believe everything was done the wrong way around. Very happy however when I see for example UK vax rates , great effort.
However , I am and always have been " Pro Vax " , I have been vaccinated and I may well do Phiser also when that is available. I two beliefs sit comfortably with me , and when Im " pro " something , I tend to support the topic and the agenda , this makes some really angry who think I should think the opposite and be " anti vax " with them.
I've had a flu shot for last 25 years , first thing I did when I got back to Thailand was have a pneumonia shot , the heps ( when in Australia ) etc etc.

So what I dont understand is why does this topic , a really important topic create such anger? What are your thoughts with regard to anti vaccination individuals? Why do my pro vax support posts make them so angry? Im just expressing my honest view , I know Im no risk of CV , I'm actually doing it for community reasons.
Please , give me your thoughts?

I agree with you, that the VAX is made for community reasons, at least for me. I got the Pfizer vax. The argument that the vax is not good and wait for a better version, think about the virus, It's a variation of sars. Imagine that you have a big pot of broth, the broth is sars and then you put different vegetables in the broth. The vaccination is based on the broth, that is already studied and known from before. The vegetables are just small differences of sars, so the CV 19 vaccin is not something totally "not known" from before but just a variation of the broth. The attack from the anti vax community is maybe based on people that are locked in their minds (generally) and not open to what could be something good. I wonder how many of the anti vax community are smokers? for example, is smoking good, no - but yet they refuse something that's probably less dangerous than smoking. I think the anger comes from a locked and limited mind. If you are open minded and curious you don't have that anger and need to attack.
So all anti vax people, take a smoke and calm down.

People need to stop making everything into politics. They need to start thinking for themselves and not start an entire argument on politics when talking about the vaccines. Everyone in my family is vaccinated, and people who don’t… it’s their choice. I don’t care. I’d highly advise them to follow social distancing and wear masks though. Although, some people do not follow that. They believe that they can do whatever they want, and they spread the virus. I see my parents working their asses off (they’re both docs) and I see people using stupid internet articles for justifications rather than scientific facts.

Yeah, I prefer what my parents prefer too. If I was 18, I’d be vaccinated by now. In India, only People above the age of 18 can get the covid shot. Some people do not realize that doctors know better than them. It’s crazy. Its not that people are against vaccines. However, the C-19 "vax" is NOT a true vaccine.

The real crux of those who don't want it, is specifically that many people who have had the shots, simply expect and are now pushing the situation from being voluntary to mandatory!

In the US, this is still considered an experimental shot for "Emergency Use Authorization". When you have assholes like our President making comments like he plans to force the entire Gov't workforce to get the shot, there goes individual liberty and self determination. My issue isn't the vax itself and I did get it. My issue is that it is making a major issue epically in the states clear as day. Many people are unable, willing or able to think for themselves. People on both sides of the date have taken their side of the debate due to things like political affiliations or mainstream media rather then actual research and thinking for ones self. Research that goes past simply doing a google search for covid and covid vaccine. Along the entire debate is making the issue of group think extremely apparent as well.

Honestly I had to take covid19 vaccine already in January because I couldn't do my internship without that. If I had the option to refuse the vaxx I would do that. In my age group is covid19 fatality really low and this vaccine isn't really good because it doesn't prevent replication of viruses in body if vaccinated people. If you think about it with pros and cons it's really smarter to refuse the vaccination and wait for better version of this vaccine public "beta test"

For me , I would still not be remotely affected individually by CV 19 , I could be in a room with the 100 most infectious in the world , however I did it NOT for me , I proceeded for the entire community.
Its one thing ( the only thing ) we learnt from the Spanish flu.
I have a great natural immune , Im very fortunate , and agreed nothing beats this refence. Your age can carry and spread to the weak , thats why they wanted you all vaxed.

@freyared, you did have the opportunity to refuse to take the jab, but you opted to go for your internship. It's pretty understandable why you did that, I guess it's not something you feel particularly strongly about, but this is your health we're talking about. No one, legally or morally, can coerce you to get an experimental medical treatment, still in clinical trials, emergency authorisation only. Because the vaccination is only temporarily, but not fully approved - because normally vaccines require 8-10 years to produce and have long-term effects checked. This one was pushed onto the market within 1 year. Not to mention it is not a sterilising vaccine (read up on what that means).

Thus resulting in all the people taking it becoming lab rats. If you think the risk of the vaccine is lower than that of covid? Go ahead and take it. It's your body, your choice.

But I personally think it is reckless. And I remember the same thing done in a smaller scale during the swine flu with massive side-effects that were brushed under the rug.

Well, my problem is not with vaccines per se, just with mRNA vaccines. There is a reason regular non-emergency FDA approval of new vaccines takes 2 years. It has been decided that it takes so long to collect enough safety data in the field.
