Yes. I don't want to be seen as creepy, I don't want to be arrested for sexual harassment because I said hi to a woman (or as has happened to a at least two men, have my face bashed in for trying to flirt with a woman.). A guy wrote a letter to a female friend of mine asking her out and she thought it was creepy. The problem is she also thinks its creepy if a man does a cold approach, asks her out online, or becomes friends gets to know her and then asks her out. This is the problem, they have left men only two options, either respect their boundaries and never ever approach a woman ever OR realize that these women are insane, you cannot listen to a word they say because they don't even know what the fuck their talking about and risk offending her because the other option means dying alone.
They have ruined dating by making men evil, by making men the bad guy and assuming the absolute worse of men while simultaneously over inflating the egos and self worth of women. Now obviously their is going to be awkwardness if your not interested, obviously no woman is required to date some one they don't want but their use to be an understanding between men and women. That is that men pursue, as a result since the woman does not take any risk, she doesn't get a say in who approaches, she is passive but safe in that she will never suffer rejection. In return the guy will suffer massive amounts of rejection but you at least respect the fact that he is putting himself out their and are at the very least polite about it (as he should be with the rejection) and not go around deciding that a guy is a creep for daring to think that he might have a chance with an obviously superior being then him (as many women make it out to be).
Interestingly the lesbian feminist Nora Vincent went undercover as a man for a year to right a book about it and in her words, she was stunned that more men didn't utterly despise women, specifically reffering to how horrible they treat men when it comes to dating and asking women out. She pointed out that as a woman these same women, most of them who where straight where far kinder and even flattered by the attempt but as a man they would just treat you like you where absolutely beneath them.
Women ruined dating and now the only guys who approach them are men who don't care about them or men who understand that you can never take dating advice from women and that you have to just kind of look at them like spoiled children and not take anything they say or do seriously. Its pretty fucked up to be honest.
Now days, guys are afraid to go up to girls and talk to them and heaven forbid if you tell a girl she looks nice, you are liable to get maced in the face. Guys never know how a girl is going to react to anything they say. So it is better to not say anything.
Exactly. Rejection is something most guys get used to pretty young. You get over it and move on. Losing your job or something worse from a false-accusation will ruin your entire life.
No. Unless you think pursuing a girl > getting to know her.
We have to remember that before me too, people thought that what a girl wore to a 'party' dictated whether or not she was morally responsible for a boy/man to assault, grope, or rape her.
This is not the case, and so very Albert Camus, where the protagonist blames the hot weather for his antisocial actions. It's not the weather, it's not her clothing, the perpetrator is at fault.
The fact was that no one (men and women) in society told boys to take 5 seconds to ask a girl, hey do you want to have sex or would you like to wait for something special. When you ask a girl for consent beforehand, you give her the chance for 1) the relationship to mean something to you 2) gives her the ability to explain it to herself.
I understand there are a few bad women apples, who misuse the me too movement. But I do think that when bad apple men assault 1 in 4 women, it's a real issue that needs to be addressed. Now I'm not saying all men assault women, but statistically it's important to acknowledge the experience of 1/4 women, and why as a society, we let those bad apple men get away with traumatizing 1/8 of the population.
This is a very good point. It has made me think of another issue, women having sex with men without their consent. As the view on rape in society is like 99% one sided, by reading the accounts of the men in the link below, what impact is extreme feminism having on men who were raped?
www.mirror.co.uk/.../men-who-were-sexually-assaulted-10271205
Hmm that's a good point. I do think you're right that the view on rape is 99% one-sided, and I think that needs to change. I do believe men, I knew Boys, now men who would talk about girls grabbing them inappropriately and how uncomfortable it made them. I think consent works both ways. Men should have equal consent and have their situations acknowledged.
My only disagreement is that I think this one sided view of rape proceeds extreme feminism. I think rape for the most part, throughout all of history has been taught and accepted as something one sided. Even as a kid before we learn about real sex, we learn that armies would pillage women, and it's just accepted as a horrible act of war. I think of some misogynistic countries, where honor killings happen and rape is considered worse than murder. These countries, a far cry from western feminism fail to acknowledge the male view of sexual harassment, of assault and more.
In summary, I agree that society needs to accept mens stories, and you may disagree with me, but I think it comes from men and women accepting that men can make emotional or values choices over biology. Everytime someone's says, men and women are this way because of biology, we take away the voice of male victims of assault.
@Xoxocutiekitty I 100% agree, what is unsettling is when extreme feminists push the fact that men cannot be raped. This actually damages the image of women as it always paints them as the victim. I have personally never been raped before (I mean my girlfriend roleplays raping me but that's a different story) but if I was to be raped for real, I'd be terrified that no one would believe me and it will damage a lot of relationships if the girl who raped me said I was the one that raped her as that is more believable.
You have to pursue a woman to get to know her, and you have to make your intentions known to begin with other wise you will be accused of taking advantage of her. So I don't think that is an accurate assesment (that is what dating fundamentally is, the attempt to get to know her, the chance to get to know her).
As for the clothing comment, I don't think that is a fair assesment either. Yes the one who commits the crime is at fault, that is not really in question and I don't think its ever been in question, however their is culpability in this. If I see a dark alley with stereotypical criminals with knives and guns and I choose to go down that alley and end up beaten and robbed who's to blame? Well obviously they are but I'm also responsible for believing that the rest of the world would just do the right thing. I have locks on my door for a reason, sure people shouldn't steal but that doesn't mean I should be devoid of being responsible for trying to safeguard myself and my things. I think this is the issue with your argument, that while her clothing and behavior does not justify the wrongs commited it does create an enviroment where that wrong is easier to occur and in that regard is responsible in that respect. Doesn't mean she isn't a victim, but it does mean she has to take at least some responsiblity for helping if not creating the situation at the very least removing the safe guards that would have helped prevent it.(thier are things we are in control of and things we are not).
You are correct that the refusal to see men as victims of rape (which statistically is as common as women) predates feminism. Its biological in nature, humans cannot really see men as victims, especially not victims at the hands of women, while simultaneously we are incappable of seeing women as anything other then victims (ironically this gives women a lot of power). Neotenous biological traits are responsible for that.
I don't understand your consent argument. Dating is not sex nor is it rape. Also 1 in four women are not raped, that is not an accurate statistic. Based upon FBI data a woman has a life time chance of being raped of 3% if we assume that all ages, all demographics, all areas and all behaviors (and yes behaviors do increase or decrease the odds of rape just as they do for everything else) are equally likely (which is obviously not the case). This is also the same life time rate for men being raped. Also only 4% of the population (men and women) are responsible for rapes and sexual assaults.
Also I don't understand what that has to do with feminism and MeToo affecting dating?
You misunderstand the question.
Pursue = approach. "Nice guys" as we've been called, aren't the ones putting on an act; and since we are generally introverted and don't want conflict, we see approaching women to talk to them as effectively forbidden (to avoid potential risk).
So don't be surprised if the types of men that approach women nowadays are more ignorant or aggressive, because we've seen what could happen to us on a whim.
Yes almost certainly because they're unsure of boundaries don't want to hurt or offend anyone as usual the few ruin it for the many
The only woman who actually answered properly..
@Ronald_25 I do get what she says... but again, whatever your experiences as a "nice guy" it doesn't affect one bit my experiences as, a man.
Exactly
@Ronald_25 Truth is when you're actually, a man... and that means a decent one that has respect first, for himself and as much respect for women, then there's absolutely nothing to fear... even if a misunderstanding, it can be resolved easily, but again... different experiences, different tells
@NathanDavis, if a woman is going to rape you, it's because she likes the look of you, and she's going to fuck you, regardless of consent. It's what sexual predators do, regardless of gender.
You could be a man, nice guy, terrible guy, whatever, it doesn really matter when you're unconscious and being raped.
@MCheetah, exactly, which is why I gave MHO 👍🏼
How exactly... this topic went from a nice guy afraid of interaction to me... being raped by a woman
what exactly do you mean by me being out of my senses and raped... lmfao
should I, as a man, be worried of being raped by extreme feminism or how is that working out here? I just don't get it... and this surely does not align with what @karaspara just said either...
@NathanDavis How were you raped ? If you don't wanna discuss it publicly that's cool but don't call me out then
@karaspara no, sorry... lol I forgot to properly tag @Ronald_25
this question was about "nice guys" being afraid of interacting with women, so I did answer to that.
but then they made it a situation of me... being raped by women? I don't know what's in his mind, I am just trying to find out how does that "hypothetical" situation related to anything of what I said, or to anything you said in your comments, since all these "nice guys" seem to just agree with you
I just don't know when this question changed to... men being raped by/and women being sexual predators
@NathanDavis I'm sorry that happened to you I hate scumbags male or female
@MCheetah @NathanDavis yes indeed I hate people who make out women can't be abusive my mother is a prime example
@karaspara just to be absolutely clear, I was not raped by anybody...
the original poster of this question, just made that up as an scenario, in order to change the topic of the original question, lol
@NathanDavis, that's my bad, I have a similar question centered around reverse rape and my reply belongs to another opinion. @karaspara Nathan was never raped, I was.

In a roundabout way. Feminism is the root of the "me too". Most women have been fed a diet of that for so long that the message has convinced them they don't need men. When in reality while everyone should be self sufficient. It goes against our biology. It's why men and women think so differently. We comment each. Others strengths and weaknesses.
But I'm not going to just blame feminism our social media is to blame as well while feminism has told women they have all these choices they make the worst decisions with them lol. I'm not giving guys a pass. Feminism makes women more aggressive. And you have predatory women that seek and destroy guys using feminine wiles.
Basically the entire mess leaves BOTH genders seeking only the best. Or what they think are the best. " she's under 100 lbs. With double d's". " he's muscular, handsome, and has a prestigious well paying job". Because it's not about who their partner is it's about how their partner reflex on them. They can't be seen socially with anything less even though "less" might actually be the best match for them.
I think that for people who can effectively communicate about needs and boundaries, this isn't really an issue. If you know how to communicate when you are and aren't interested, accurately interpret other peoples communication, and ask for clarification when necessary then this is an easy problem to solve regardless of gender.
I think if men are intimidated by an increase in women reporting sexual assault and harassment that's something that they need to work on themselves before they pursue a relationship. I 100% understand social anxiety about this sort if thing, but if you're interested in a long term relationship (or any relationship) you need to be able to work past that either on your own, with external support, or with your partner.
I notice that the majority of people answering the poll are men who answered 'yes' which is certainly data. If that many men feel personally deterred from dating for fear that their partners may be 'extremist feminists' then perhaps I'm wrong. With the question phrased as 'is this deterring men' it asks more about a man's perception of these events than these events' inherent value, in which case it's not really matter of public opinion and my opinion as 'not-a-man' is largely worthless. If we are asking about my opinion of its value though: if the consequences of sexual assault are such that they deter some men from persuing women, I think it's probably a good thing that those specific men are not persuing women.
Also, I don't know if this is anything, but I rarely ever hear this question asked about men who want to be friends with women. Maybe that's just me.
Because men don’t want to be friends. They want sex period. Women can’t be friends with men. What men and women consider friends are completely different. Women make friends for social progress men make friends on projects And competition. How we pursue them and act towards them are totally different.
I'm not sure why you combined the idea of the #metoo movement being about crazy feminists.
From what I recall it's about women telling there stories so that other women knew they were not alone and should not feel the need to allow men to actually physically harass women.
Women who use this as a reason to simply be a piece of garbage need therapy and less attention.
Men need to stop associating these things to feminists because it's not about hating men it's about speaking up.
If you have ran into crazy women like this damn I am from the 90's era and this stuff honestly is just sad to hear that women have become so lost and sad.
Luckily I don't think this is the case for most women.
Since you're clearly oblivious to what's been going on, allow me to provide some insight. Metoo gave a platform for women to tell their stories so that they didn't need to feel like no one cared. This was a good and noble cause. However, it also gave a platform to other women who used it to lie about things that never happened.
Metoo was supposed to bring down actual sexual predators when all it really did was tell men: I can destroy your life with a single lie at any given time. It doesn't matter if it is tomorrow or 40 years from now. One well placed lie along with a group of corrupt court officials and you'll be branded a rapist for eternity.
Metoo went from a support group to a international witch hunt. You ever read the Crucible? It shows just how far a lie can go when there are enough fools willing to believe it.
@SlightlyEccentric
I'm not oblivious to the obvious constant bs that is spread in life and the constant bs the minority do to claim a person brain, things that are ridiculous will also rule in mind over the majority. Reasons why the news sucks ass.
What I don't know does not matter though because this question is biased toward women in general since the question is towards women not feminists directly and feminists don't rule the world.
I figured I made that pretty clear.
Spoken truly like someone who has no idea what its like being in anothers ahoea
@JustAnj, There is a very good reason why I have phrased this question, the way I have. It connects 4 different types of women.
1. Women who were sexually harassed and/ or raped, who benefited from Me Too, as seeing success stories of other women encouraged them to speak up and formed Me Too, with the noble intention of increasing the power women hold against sexual predators
2. Feminists extremists (or crazy feminists) who used the Me Too era to encourage hate against men and pushed the definition of rape to exclude the fact that a woman cannot rape a man.
3. Feminists (or female equalists like I like to refer to them now) who sit on the boundary with balance, they want more women to be aided by Me Too, but they don't want to hate men
4. Regular straight women, these women are out there looking for a long term relationship with a man. British culture already has women persuing men half the time anyway, but some men, like myself, now refrain from approaching women, with the fear that they may see it as harassment and lie about something that will make me seem like a sexual predator. Women who use this for attention, or enjoy hating men as a trend may be causing issues for their gender, as with any lie, your trust starts to decline.
The guys who care, listened and became over cautious.
The guys who don't care became bolder because the good men listened and stopped approaching. Leaving women to judge all men by the few perverts who still approach even though women made it clear they don't like it.
Selection bias, if the Only men who are approaching are the men who don't care about the issues women have to deal with , women will assume most men are like the few creepy guys who hit on everything with a pulse, because they are the only men they interact with anymore.
This is very true, and I have a point of reference, what pisses me off is when women say "why can't I find a nice guy" and I'm thinking "do you deserve a nice guy?" Like what do you have to offer really 🤷🏽♂️ I feel like they're making it worse for their own gender and we're better off being gay sometimes 😄
For years women made false claims of family violence against men in order to gain the upper hand in relationships and divorce. And then women believed the fabricated statistics they created that drove the false allegation numbers against men off the charts and MeToo was born. And of course every other wanna be false claimer saw it as fun and games to join in and really demonize men and boys adding great insult to injury. Men especially in the west but around the world's eyes finally opened to agree men have had enough.
As for myself never marrying not creating a family, I was busy working really hard trying to make the best of things with what was left trying to put something together and make it work when the MeToo and marches hit. Those events helped me realize things for what they are and helped me make peace with living out the rest of my life alone.

Idc for feminists or metoo but I will be cheesy I was sexually harassed a lot from childhood and till this day so technically "me fucking too" and I certainly do not feel like talking about it but when other women share their stories even in my small friend groups I would instantly share feel better and comfortable. Its not about y'all lol nobody cares if a nice guy or a bad guy is coming forward its about victims of abuse finally having a space and letting go of their traumas. The centre of attention is not "nice guys" and we all know what road we are taken towards when a guy thinks he is "nice".
Well, firstly the term "nice-guy" is relative, some women consider men as nice, others do not, not as easy as "honest guy" as you can measure honestly more easily. I am well aware of Me Too and the benefits it was intended for and cotinues to provide for women and rape culture. My question isn't about Me Too only, it's about women misusing the Me Too culture by lying about rape, and the negative impact it is causing to other women as a result.
but any tool could be misused anyway but we have to acknowledge the bad seeds
That's the point, we don't need "nice guys" around, the ones that go on saying they're nice, only do nice things for sex, can't take a no, see women as sex objects. Out with them.
Cause proper good guys wouldn't be worried cause they don't harrass women and respect them as human beings. They do good things for everyone cause they want to. They approach women with genuine interest and will respectfully take rejection.
💯💯
no need to thank me, you literally spat the facts and everyone needs to hear it.
Not really, no. It probably makes guys more hesitant to fuck anyone in the office--particularly a subordinate, but then with Tinder and other apps, people have been casting a much wider net than the people they work with for some time now. And besides--the injunction not to dip your pen in the company ink has always been a good idea. So no--I don't think it deters pursuing girls--it just changes a bit where you should pursue, but honestly--other changes in tech and society have had MUCH bigger impacts.
Of course it make men not want to talk to women. They can lie, and there are examples where it was proven a lie but it didn't matter his life was already fucked up.
Women lie or "change there minds" after the fact, it was consensual when it happened but later they regret it or get upset with him or get jealous that it was just a booty call so they lie say he's a rapeist then all the "believe all accusation" morrons side with her based on no proof.
Its risky as fuck to talk women now.
Absolutely, yes. If I need a girl I’ll go to the whorehouse. no commitment, no ring, no bitching, no divorce, no alimony. I suggest if women want to be married they might want to get the feminazi ogres under control or ALL the guys will get sick of the shit and do like me.
And they're not exactly going to listen to reason from us 😄 when I was in my early 20s I fancied a girl from my kickboxing class, years later I found out that she was crushing on me hard, she asked "why didn't you ask me out?" I said "because before I met you, I met another girl and when I went to ask her out at a club she shouted "rape".
Even if I didn't sexually harass her, people would just say "he got away with it" because all guys are horny monsters apparently 🙄😄
Honestly it's best to just avoid women at all costs. Not just dating. Avoid them at school, avoid them on public transit. Avoid them at work. In any event where you must interact with a woman make sure you have at least 2 witnesses and record the entire interaction.
@captain_voidwalker
Even if a guy would like to, you literally can't.
I'm living proof they do, at least to an extent. I'd rather die alone than take my chance with an awful, bitter, miserable, man-hating woman, aka "a feminist."
I would write a whole lot more and give my personal stories (including how I got expelled from college and spent three years in a lawsuit against them do to one random 19-year-old feminist cunt in particular who didn't want a "scary black man" in her class and thought I made her "feel unsafe" with my presence), but I'm honestly too tired to do that, and everyone else has already said everything better than I could. I hate when this damn site recommends questions to me super-late...
My belief here is that the brotherhood will rise up, take control and separate men & women into 2 walled off continents (North America and Europe)
with a birth rate after the first year of zero, the overpopulation will soon be solved but expect more cannibalism amid a waste prevention measure as well as the probable hunger in the encampments
Give it 20 years and everyone will be dead or never seen the opposite sex before
They can then drain the resources in other places like Africa and South America for the billionaires to use in their space programs, do they can leave and nuclear this wasteland into oblivion
If women's rights deter or threaten you in any way, you are not a nice guy, you are an idiot.
But, hey. I'm sure women would be very glad if you were to remain deterred, so more power to you.
I actually liked this opinion because it's a good point, men that get detered by women's rights and movements that provide them with more power should stay single in my opinion, because I feel like they would constrain the women in their lives for reaching equally. Can't really call them men can we (?)
I take issue with women lying about sexual harrasment and rape for their benefit, with the protection of Me Too movement and society's one sided view on rape culture.
This was happening before #MeToo, but definitely escalated... Part of being "woke" means being skittish in acting any way that could be considered as sexual harassment to women.
It's far worse than that my friend, there are women out there taking advantage of submissive men, and men are not allowed to even talk to women sometimes, a woman can easily get away with sexual harrasing a man at the workplace for instance, and blackmailing him that if he speaks out, or doesn't let her have her fun, they she'll accuse him of sexual harrasment, that will lead to job loss, reputation damage, divorce, loss of custody etc, all because she wanted to have some "fun" and couldn't fucking take no for an answer. I've encountered women like this, stay the hell away from them, they will ruin your life for "fun", because all men are monsters in their eyes. The irony is crippling, isn't it?
I would say yes. In this day and age, if i had a son heading to college I would teach him to have all interactions with women recorded, to always have at leat two witnesses present, and to always get any kind of relationship stuff and sex related stuff on video as well as in writing.. Especially since women think it's OK to withdraw consent after the fact, even years later.
In some cases it might have done so for some guys. Though it really didn't for me. I have always been emotionally guarded. By the time MeToo started hitting its stride and what some call 2nd wave feminism took off I had already put my walls back up and probably added some. Because I was already in and out of a bad relationship. When they two started on my radar a woman trying to get to know and date me might as well be a soldier on the other side of a trench battlefield in WW 1.
MeToo is a show of what the average woman has become. Im sure there are cases where they're not lying but you also forget that these occur in environments where corporate culture reigns supreme. And everyone knows corporate is cutthroat and psychopathic. We can only accelerate the destruction of society to forcibly remove capitalism and the neoliberal cancer.
Women don't want to take responsibility for their actions. It's easy for a woman to smash her head off the wall and call the police and tell them "Her boy friend hit her".
Nobody wants a “nice guy” all anyone is asking for is to not be sexually assaulted. If you can’t understand that you shouldn’t be allowed to date anyone.
Not sure why that is so hard to understand. It isn't a crazy feminist thing or a man hating thing. All we are saying is don't be gross and sexually assault or rape people. If they are saying that men are incapable of that and that it is man hating to not accept that men are just going to be like that... well... then I fear for this world.
@Ez-Bri-Z Oh, the world is already fucked. I’m just here to enjoy the show while this shit burns to the ground. But yes, the idea that a guy can see that women are finally starting to stand up for ourselves, and be treated by that. Well, it shows just how pathetic they are.
@Ez-Bri-Z
Fun fact: the human species can continue just fine without men at all. See, human eggs are haploid cells meaning they only contain half of each pair of chromosomes. Sperm cells are also haploid and in traditional reproduction contain the other half. But it is possible to take the nucleus out of a diploid cell (contains both pairs), use it to replace the nucleus of an egg, then implant that egg into a uterus to create a clone. This is an oversimplification, and there are of course laws preventing letting a human clone survive past the blastocyst stage. But it has already been successfully done. And with enough time and properly funded research it could very well become the new norm.
https://www.nature.com/articles/nrg1205
@Ez-Bri-Z I want them to try, yes. Because it’s fucking hilarious to watch the “MGTOW” and Simps fighting over something that none of them have any claim to in the first place.
I realize we do need male voices supporting the cause of equality. I really do understand that, but again, done as an equal and not as in a "we need to protect them" kind of way. Is it a beggars can't be choosers kinda deal? Iunno.
What I do know is that side opposing that equality is becoming smaller and smaller everyday. I hope they choose to get on board because that is a hell of a walk for them to catch up once we get going.
@Ez-Bri-Z There will always be people opposed to equality. But yes, we are at least making progress.
not sure what you all "nice guys" do... but I am actually a man, and I've never had issues, and surely not a need to "pursue or chase" people.
This.
Damn, I thought I was a nice guy.
guess it’s okay for me then.
admittedly if certain cultures are like some guys on GaG, then really it’s just a spot of respect n your sorted..
If you have to tell me you’re a nice guy, you’re probably not
Because if a man has a positive opinion of himself he is probably a piece of shit? Not exactly great reasoning. That is bad rationalization. Some guys are manipulative assholes, some are not, and he never stated he was a nice guy, he said nice guys are detered because of extremism from women (because they are).
I'm not a nice guy Aqua, former nice guy would be more accurate, I'm too cheeky, sarcastic and my sense of humour is too dark to fit the description. It would be an insult to proper good nice guys.
For the record, I 100% agree with @hellionthesagereborn men who are being oppressed by women will only go one way, and women of all people should know how oppression due to your gender feels like. But some don't care, and it's disgusting. I've always felt that if you're not compassionate, are you actually human (?)
@hellionthesagereborn no, if a guy is truly a nice guy he won’t have to tell me. These self proclaimed nice guys are just the man babies who cry about friend zones
But he wasn't suggesting he was a nice guy, he was asking if the excessive aggressiveness of women now a days was driving genuinely good guys away. It wasn't about a guy proclaiming himself to be good.
For example, I happen to know several women who have decided every guy who approaches them is creepy, no matter what he does whether he does a cold approach and asks her out, asks her online, asks her in letter, no matter what if he is not her type he is a creep. So if you have a good man who sees this, he doesn't want to be a creep, he doesn't want to make her uncomfortable so he will simply not engage. Thus nice guys are now not persuing women because women have decided that every man is the enemy, that he is always suspect, that he is effectively guilty until proven innocent and as a result a lot of guys just do not want to put up with that. That leaves you the assholes who don't care about how you feel, or the guys who see this and realize that every woman is just going to look at him as if he is a potential sexual predator and their is nothing he can do about so just ignore all of those barriers she puts up because its that or die alone. This is the situation women have created with their extremism, with their antagonistic approach to men.
Its not just me and other men saying this either. In fact their is a writer Nora Vincent who wrote the book self made man, where she took acting classes got a prosthetics etc. to become a man and live like one for a year. She was a feminist and a lesbian. I cannot recall the exact words but she stated something along the lines that when it came to dating she didn't understand how more men didn't just utterly despise and hate women. That women where so callous and dismissive of men that she as a lesbian and a woman began to hate her own gender. She even pointed out that as a woman if she asked a woman out, they where never hostile, even the ones who where straight would be nice about it and even in some cases where flattered.

@hellionthesagereborn not gonna lie I can’t be arsed to read your response
Then why engage in an online discussion if you have no intention of doing anything other then shouting an opinion out into the aether and then running away? Seems rather asinine.
@hellionthesagereborn because I’ve triggered you and that makes me laugh
Triggered me? How exactly have I been "triggered"? Is it because I disagreed that you now have automatically presumed that I must be angry and foaming at the mouth with rage? If so then you have some serious misunderstanding of how human interactions work. Just because some one disagrees doesn't mean they are angry or hateful or evil or bad or what have you, it just means they have a different perspective and are trying to understand why you have the perspective you have.
Also why would one go out of their way to do this if they see no value in the conversation? Are you sociopathic and enjoy trying to manipulate people and make them upset? I'm genuinely curious, I don't understand the concept?
@hellionthesagereborn you’ve just proved you’re triggered lol
How so? Is it because of how much I wrote? If that is the case, this is quite normal for me (never figured out how to be more concise I'm afraid). If not then what has "proven" that I am triggered?(seriously, I am trying to understand both your motivations as well as how your using the term because I do not see how I could be conveying that (as I'm not (it would take months of acting like a terrible person to get me angry about a comment))?
@hellionthesagereborn no, it’s because you’re grovelling like a child
I'm sorry what? How is me disagreeing with you then asking why you would according to your own words, waste your time trying to get people upset (unsucessfully) and then asked why you think I'm triggered, groveling exactly? This is a forum, a site meant to be dedicated towards discussion which is what I was engaging in then you got very hostile and dismissive, I was simply trying to understand why because I prefer to understand things rather then remain ignorant. I don't think you actually know what your doing, I think maybe your dodging the question because you have no answer and that is why your being aggressively dismissive. Groveling: "acting obsequiously in order to obtain forgiveness or favor." Obsequious: "obedient or attentive to an excessive or servile degree". I've done neither of these things, so I don't think you are using that word properly. I do think you have proven his point however.
Ah, okay. Its not that I said anything incorrect, it was that you did not want to hear it. We do get a lot of women on this site like that, ones who cannot handle being questioned and held accountable that is. Well, at least we solved the mystery (would have been faster if you would have been upfront about it though. Could have save both of our times if you had been honest).
@hellionthesagereborn you’re just a bitter old man🤣
Yes, a definitive and resounding yes. Well meaning introverted guys like myself will not approach women for fear of being labelled, attacked or cancelled in the age of mob mentalities.
Women have to show explicit interest in us before we feel comfortable engaging with them, and as a consequence of both introverted men and women expecting one another to make the fist move - neither do.
A nice guy would not sexually harass a woman! And if they said no to sex they would just move on to the next gal!
The problem is that the ideology means the guy has no say in the matter. He could be totally reasonable, but if *she* decides something was harassment then society comes for him. That’s MeToo.
Maybe but I’ve never heard of that happening
It happened all throughout the MeToo period on social media. Countless women would tell nonsense about men and ruin their lives. But MeeToo was probably the biggest example of modern feminism breaking into the mainstream, before that they had been awful for a long time. You can find endless writings in academic feminism advocating for that kind of toxic perspective on men and sexual harassment.
Well I was sexually harassed and the men acted like they didn’t do it and called me crazy.
Oh and made up bad rumors too.
Okay, but that has nothing to do with what I said. So...
That is true @emilym12345, but you are forgetting that unfortunately there are women out there who will claim false rape for devious and petty reasons.
A boy at my college when we were about 17 was accused of rape, a few month later, he managed to record the girl claiming rape saying "he didn't want to fuck me, so I had to get him back didn't I. His family is rich anyway, he'll recover"
I think it's different for girls as if a guy claims you raped him, you're pretty much safe as most people won't believe him. But as a guy, that's a terrifying thought, of being accused of rape.
Of course.
But when politely asking someone out on a date one time can be and often is construed as sexual harassment, nice guys stop doing it.
Nobody is asking if nice guys would sexually harass someone. The question is if all the false accusations have caused nice guys too just opt out of dating altogether. And a lot of us have or are close to it.
I don't ask girls out anymore because rejection hurts enough without then being slandered as a rapist. I had a girl I had a girl I knew very well on to me, ask me to have sex, we did, it didn't go anywhere after that, but then I got accused of raping her by someone else I was actually on a date with.
Needless to say, I dont ask girls out much anymore, and I pretty much need it in writing if we are going to go somewhere togeather or have sex.
It just isn't worth it.
But it's sad that nice girls have given up on dating because of the creeps and nice guys have given up on dating because of the lies.
That only hurts the good people. The bad ones are undeterred by that stuff.
The idiots are winning. We are devolving into savages because smart nice people are strongly discouraged from passing on there genetics.
Nice girls should realize that they can ask guys out too if they want to and that is honestly the best way to find someone who isn't a creep and be happy together. Most nice guys won't approach anymore, because we are too afraid of either getting accused of rape over a polite question or genuinely triggering someone and making them feel attacked by trying to spend time with them and show affection.
Nice guys don't sexually harass women, but the way things are going the only way to be sure is to just not talk to them unless they talk to you first. And even that might still get you accused of rape. =/
And who gets to define what sexual harassment is? Apparently now it includes holding doors open for women or just being polite and saying hello, no thanks, I’ll stick with my Realdoll, it doesn’t bitch about anything, has no mental illness, isn’t on tranks, psychotropics or hormones, doesn’t spend it days whoring itself on the internet…
Of course not. Dudes who were not getting any before metoo, are totally unaffected. “Nice guy” is just code for dudes who do “nice” things for women in hopes of obtaining sex. Women don’t work that way.
No because men persue women regardless. Theyres just less coachable women because of modern day feminism.
Say you go on a date with a girl and it doesn't go well, you had an argument and you both left angry, the next morning she can call the police or post online and say you raped her and then boom-you're life is over.
Is not wanting to be sexually harassed an extreme feminist viewpoint?
That and more.
I won't even speak to women I don't know in case she takes the opportunity to extort money out of me through defamatory claims.
Even when shopping now I always line up at the male checkout counter or pick a different store.
They have overplayed their hand and many guys no longer see any value in a relationship with a woman.
Why would I want to subject myself to all of the negative aspects of feminism. That is what is truly toxic.
You're equal. No go earn your own salary and raise kids as a single mother and for those who dont want kids, all I can say is thank fucking god. We would rather you didn't procreate either.
All feminists should be sewn shut
That last meme is hilarious. Feminists PRETEND to hate men? LMAO
I voted yes, obviously.
It's not a meme lad, it's an actual article, and some younger women are pretending, as they see it as a trend of fashionable to hate men or paint them all as creepy and perverts. I say, deal with your hormones going through puberty properly before passing judgement, if he is a creep then so be it, but accusing a nice guy for being a creep is a Segway for false sexual harassment claims
A lot of them stupidly preach "believe all women". And it seems they willingly include the women who lie about sex crimes. They can kiss my ass if they want the world to support those kind of women.
No. Nice guy is just a code word for a man who has no spine. Hence he wouldn't have the balls to pursue a woman anyway
That is a pretty fucked up world view. So their are only pieces of shit or cowards? Sorry, but that is incorrect. Their are passive and weak men, their are bad men and then their are the largest majority of men who are in the middle and not bad and not passive. A nice guy is one who is considerate and yes most considerate men have realized that they either need to be a prick or just not date because no matter what they do women are so entitled that they will always see a guy as creepy or bad if they ask her out and she isn't interested (I've witnessed it many times) so he either doesn't care how she feels and just tries to get what he wants or he cares but realizes he has to supress that desire to make her feel comfortable because she is so detached from reality that she is really nothing more then a spoiled child that cannot be taken seriously. Or of course the third possiblity of trying to respect her boundaries and never getting anywhere with women. Women fucked up dating and you thinking that a man cannot be nice without being weak pretty much show that.
It's not a problem in my country; here pursuing the wrong girl can get you shot.
Propaganda from Secondary education (teachers' unions), the university, entertainment media and fake news media are all playing a part.
I sure hope so. Self proclaimed nice guys are usually dicks.
I hope so. No woman should have to deal with a nice guy. Those guys are assholes. Women deserve kind honest man.
I don't know what the " me too" era is but sounds ridiculous!
Hopefully. It's best for everyone if guys like you stay away from women.
If yes there's a simple solution, don't be nice to them
Yeah that’s the point just stay away from me if I don’t want to look at you I definitely don’t want to suck your dick guys need to understand that
What is the "Me Too" era?
Yeah, afraid of being yelled out or them claiming sexual assault
The idea that women used this to frame men and get ahead in their careers is over exaggerated.
True, but that's not what I'm saying, the immediate and most useful use of lying about rape, is when a woman has raped a man, what is he going to do? Tell the truth? Good luck with that mate. I agree with you, this is a rare occurrence, but a terrifying one. And by downplaying it and saying it's over exaggerated, we are making the lives harder for the men who have been raped. On the flip, if we push the message out hard that women rape men, then we have same problem again. A man will rape a woman, she will report what happened, and people will think she's lying. That's probably the worse thing that can happen, so we need balance.
Yes tell the truth. Women are incarcerated for rape too, it doesn't discriminates.
Sure it is a terrifying thing to be falsely accused, but since it happens so little if we focus on that we will not focus on putting the pieces of shit that do it away. And they do it again and again.
No. It only deters rapists or misogynists.
Have you read "The Crucible?" If you have you'd see how parallel it is to the metoo movement.
Or maybe you really don't understand the fear of being falsely accused of raping someone. It doesn't matter if you're guilty or not, only that everyone you knew will turn their backs on you and make you a pariah.
Women have it so good when it comes to these support groups. What do men have? Pretty much nothing. Anything happens to a woman, the world comes to a halt. A man? People laugh at it, think its funny. And this is supposed to be that gender equality that so called feminists are claiming they promote?
@SlightlyEccentric Who’s been sacrificed that wasn’t a witch?
For the record, I'm backing @SlightlyEccentric on this one, until you or someone you know has been falsely accused of rape, you don't realise how abandoned and mentally unstable repeating the truth to fall on deaf ears can make you.
If I was ever falsely accused of rape, I think I'd just commit suicide, because it's all downhill from there. Just hope Hinduism pans out and I can try again in my next life 🤷🏽♂️ pretty depressing if you think about it, a man would rather die than spend his life trying to explain to others that he was raped by a woman.
Yes, it has and still is
No... and *pursuing
Dumbs who downvoted lmfao... well done
No, and self identified "nice guys" never are.
Yes I do.
Yes.
