I would say that I have liberal views on many issues but I am very disappointed in liberals right now because they want to save the anti vaxx. I would say if an anti vaxx warrior gets the COVID, just let Darwinism and natural selection take over

Going "i told you so, i told you so." To yourself in a cemetery is more hopeless and ultimately depressing for yourself then anything else in the world.

I fought with my parents and brother to the bitter end. Last conversation with my mother "the 1918 flu in alaska wiped out our villages to the point where there was not enough people alive to bury the dead" and they all laughed at me.

Day later mother died. Two days later dad had longterm covid died a slow death 3 months later. My brother anticovid republican never second guess me since. I'm still more miserable being right.

I have more fun, find more meaningful life, dunking these bat shit creative writing facebook classes and maybe just maybe a kid dosen't have to bury his parents to have a fun, dunking on there parents.

No idea. Even though we disagree on the vaccine this is exactly what we want, to be left alone.

If I die of Covid that's my problem, nothing to do with you. I mean I won't die from it, because I've already had it twice, first at the beginning of last year and a couple of weeks ago, each with very mild symptoms which I barely felt. People of my age group have a 99.98% probability of surviving it anyway.

A lot of the "trust the science" liberals who speak about how everybody needs to get the virus don't seem to understand the science behind vaccines. They don't understand even the most basic ideas, the way a vaccine works or how the immune system works.

The way a vaccine works is by introducing a very small or inactive strain of a virus or disease to the body, so that the immune system can create the antibodies to fight off that virus, and then the next time they come into contact with it the blueprint is already there to fight it off again more quickly.

They think that taking a vaccine means that you don't catch the virus at all. But duh, the way a vaccine works is by helping you to create the antibodies to fight off the virus when you have the virus in your body. The virus has to be inside your body for your immune system to do anything. As in it helps you to fight it off when you have it. If you have it you can pass it on still. Exactly the same as asymptomatic people were spreading it before the vaccine. Basically when you take the vaccine and it works you just become an asymptomatic carrier.

But they've been convinced that only the un-vaxxed can catch and pass on the virus, and that this is where mutations occur, and that this will endanger them. This is incorrect for the above reason. The CDC claimed that the science was settled and that vaccinated people don't pass on the virus, but they've recently changed their position because duh, that's not how it works at all.

As others have said a vaccine only protect you, you should only care about your own vaccine. Don't worry about people like me.

I agree especially because whether or not you get the vaccine or not, it’s only basically helping yourself and not other people. I think vaccinated people need to stop pushing the agenda that it helps other people because clearly it doesn’t if the virus is spreading among vaccinated people

You know what's funny, is, my grandma and my one cousin florida are both republicans. My cousin refuses to get it, my grandma got it. She's fine, he's supposedly fine, but well, my grandma is also 93, and is having other medical problems unrelated to covid.

my cousin says he's not anti vacc. he's just anti mandate

but what's funny is, if he was anti mandate, he would have already gotten the vaccine. now, if they mandate that he get it, will he get it, or will he lose his fireman job

I don't know. If I were a health professional in a state that refuses to recommend vaccinations and masks, I would just leave.

Because you never know is next. They may start executing doctors or some craziness. They might go back to the days of voo-doo and blood-letting.

Some people's doctors will argue against getting the vaccine because of their past medical history such as surviving cancer, being pregnant or having certain diseases like multiple sclerosis or something. Some are allergic to syringes or the chemicals in the vaccine.

Some if not all places that have mandated the vaccine like NYC do not care about medical exemptions whatsoever. No vaccine, no access to goods and services. Essentially making them second class citizens.
