The "what if we all agree to" thing would work for literally any system. The problem is we won't all agree. And so the challenge is to come up with a "what if we don't all agree" system. Which we might have (democracy), but sadly that's a little to unsatisfying for a lot of people.
I see no need for that, if everyone would use his brains. There's nothing negative to me in seeing (noticing) differences between each other's physical or ethnical background. But that should not dictate the way we interact, or the way we 'value' each other.

American. Uneducated and ignorant of the world. Colorism is simple and is really only predominant in countries like yours that has no real culture, pride in its culture or history, etc.
In other countries culturism, regionalism, etc are other issues that have to be dealt with and are harder to deal with. The Welsh as example are often as pale or paler even than English but they're still harassed, etc. There's strife between different groups in India, etc
In a literal sense?: No, I count myself lucky enough to have the x chromosome in my xy combo be the extra color vision one. Why on earth would I want to be colorblind?
In a figurative sense?: Also no, biological diversity is a good thing, ignoring it's existence is stupid, and tbh a bit racist.

If all races were actually treated the same and there was no need to differentiate between then yeah. But sadly many people like to miss treat minorities and judge them more harshly than others so we need to make The difference clear so that we can address the problem
Race doesn't exist. Science and historical record have proven this. Not to be confused with ethnicity. So you see the cause of racism is the lie of race. So what you are wishing for is impossible because labels by their very nature separate things. You do not treat a woman the same as you treat a man. You do not treat a child the same as an adult. You do not treat a lion the same as a tiger. The things I have used as examples may be actually different but a so called white person and a black person are scientifically the same just as much as an individual is the same as another individual biologically. In fact, there are more difference between the ethnicities in Africa than there are between white people and black people. If race is the cause of racism then how do we get rid of racism? It is simple. Is it possible? Through science & historical record yes it is. We need only to make everyone so aware that it becomes apart of their habitual thinking. Sorry if typos
Noice. Now we just need to make people understand that animals are people too. Except for spiders. I don’t care about them to be honest, they scare me too much. Are plants people? It’s said that they’re alive, but I don’t even know if they’re their own race
When I was married, one day, a guy came to my door and asked me if I knew where 2 Chinese girls lived. My now ex. was from the Philippines, and I am a pale skinned male born in the USA. It never occurred to me that he was talking about my ex and my daughter because he said Chinese. I thought I would just throw that into the conversation.
Race is a part of our culture and makes us who we are. I think if we were all the same then we lose a part of our identity. It would certainly cure a lot of turmoil but it would certainly make the world a lot more boring.
The problem isn't being aware of someone's ethnicity. The problem is ascribing traits to everyone of that ethnicity and treating them differently. You don't need to be colourblind to treat everyone equally
I think we can acknowledge that there are differences in ethnicity while those differences do no make anyone better than other or below others. Everyone is equal.
You have one dislike but you are wiser than those who are older. You understand that labels by their very nature separate things. And if we are talking about racism and not colorism then the only way to rid of racism is to go to the cause and kill it. Not to pretend it doesn't exist. We must PROVE it does not exist and we have done that. Science and historical record prove race doesn't exist, not to be confused with ethnicity.
Exactly. Science doesn’t exist, race was a concept made by literal racists, the people that invented the concept of racism used it to justify enslaving many people and we use it today. Ethnicity is the only thing that actually matters in my opinion because ethnicity connects people, culture wise/music/food/etc and that is beautiful and shouldn’t be separated. It should be shared respectfully.
Looks like someone doesn’t even read their own damn research
“You inherit HLA genes from each of your parents. These genes then code for the proteins, or markers, on your cells. Siblings are often good candidates for donors because they are more likely to have the same HLA markers as you. However, about 70% of patients needing a transplant do not have a fully matched donor in their family, and they must use a registry of unrelated donors for help.
Race and ethnicity impact HLA markers. Certain combinations of HLA markers may be common to an ethnic group because of its evolutionary history. This commonality makes matches more likely among people of the same ethnicity or race. For example, African Americans have more diverse HLA markers than other people, which makes finding a match more challenging. People who are of mixed-race descent may also have HLA markers that are relatively unique and therefore more difficult to match.”
The article clearly says that it matters because you need a matching bone marrow structure thing which is why it’s easy to get it from a Family member.
People are diverse and unique, wow that’s so crazy. Who would’ve guessed. Your stupid article doesn’t change the fact that race is a social construct that doesn’t exist and is made up. Race is only based on phenotypes, that’s a fact. You did nothing to prove otherwise because even science says so.
@doopayo You straight up contradicted yourself. here's the bottom line, there shouldn't need to be racial stratification in regards of the law. However, there's so much Genetic Drift, you can't just swap out organs like Lego bricks.
Since when did two articles equal multiple articles, I provided actually research based biology and you refuse to read it or even make arguments against anything I’ve said so if you aren’t going to add anything constructive to the conversation than you can stop wasting your time looking like a fool and leave
You openly contradicted yourself multiple times. The angry screech of the indoctrinated. here's some quotes from your second article and it conclusion.
"Additionally, undetected population structure in case-control association studies can result in false positive association66,67. Thus, knowledge of ethnicity (not just broad geographic ancestry) and statistical tests of substructure are important for proper design of casecontrol association studies and for identifying disease predisposing alleles that may differ across ethnic groups. The particular identifier used (language, ethnicity, geographic origin, religion) will depend on the particular study and the hypotheses being tested. For example, use of religion as a descriptor will be important if discussing diseases prevalent in Jewish populations, which may result from genetic drift due to founder effect68 (e. g., Tay Sachs, Torsion dystonia, breast cancer and Gaucher disease)."
"Understanding the global distribution of genetic variation is bio-medically important, but we emphasize that existence of differences, however small, should not be a basis for discrimination. Statementslike “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are createdequal...” (US Declaration of Independence, 1776) reflect morality, notscience. One can accept this moral imperative and still recognize thatall individuals, independently conceived, are genetically unique."
I made the case that Ethnicity does indeed play a role in biomedical fields, you apparently agreed. There for Ethnicity is a concrete and real thing.
Race: A race is a grouping of humans based on shared physical or social qualities into categories generally viewed as distinct by society. The term was first used to refer to speakers of a common language and then to denote national affiliations. By the 17th century the term began to refer to physical traits.
Ethnicity: An ethnic group or ethnicity is a grouping of people who identify with each other on the basis of shared attributes that distinguish them from other groups such as a common set of traditions, ancestry, language, history, society, culture, nation, religion, or social treatment within their residing area.
No… first off why the fuck does it matter. A Black idiots just as stupid as a white idiot. Also it wouldn’t work then we’d just see shades.

Maybe America destroyed every other country through wars so that everyone would leave their country to join America so that it can erase all our identities and make us one groups of people through globalization and rule over us all at once
No. The idea of being colorblind is dumb. I don't want you to be colorblind, I want you to be able to separate me and my actions from my skin color. In essence I want you to ask "If you were me and I were you, what would you want me to do?".
When it comes to something professional that doesn't really involve race, sure. But there are gonna be movies about medieval Europe or anything like that, it would be odd to make the characters Black or Asians.

no, we do have colors and ethnicity as well, cultures, backgrounds and a lot more... and it matters for some things
basic decency, respect, tolerance and a long etcétera I do support that, yes
but this, PRETENDING to be BLIND is just pointless bullshit
I see no need for that, if everyone would use his brains.

@PoliteSpeaker erasing race won’t stop people from mispeople with dark skin. It just means you can’t call them black anymore

I support equal treatment of people, but "colorblind" is like saying you can't tell the difference between a blonde and a brunette.
That’s impossible. There’s always gonna be someone that sees color, even actual color blind people see color in one way or another

Are you stupid. I said race not ethnicity 😐 of course ethnicity is a real thing dumbass
Literally making me lose brain cells. You never want to learn so don’t respond
Literally the same thing.
If you don’t know the difference between race and ethnicity than you shouldn’t have relied in the first place
So whats the difference compared to race?
Race: A race is a grouping of humans based on shared physical or social qualities into categories generally viewed as distinct by society. The term was first used to refer to speakers of a common language and then to denote national affiliations. By the 17th century the term began to refer to physical traits.
Ethnicity: An ethnic group or ethnicity is a grouping of people who identify with each other on the basis of shared attributes that distinguish them from other groups such as a common set of traditions, ancestry, language, history, society, culture, nation, religion, or social treatment within their residing area.
Race is just based on looks/phenotypes, ethnicity or ethnic background is made up of culture, geography, traditions, history, languages, music, etc
Sound nearly the same, and effectively are. Do you agree that We should all be treated the Same under the law?
They aren’t the same.
And duh of course
That last one is the only thing that matters.
I believe in a society indifferent to race. Someone can bring aspects of culture with them and display extraordinary beauty. It is OK to notice both.
No. The idea of being colorblind is dumb. I don't want you to be colorblind, I want you to be able to separate me and my actions from my skin color. In essence I want you to ask "If you were me and I were you, what would you want me to do?".

I'd love to, but there are too many people pushing for the exact opposite.
Yup. The fucktards who are constantly making everything about race are in the end quite racist themselves.
