Would you support certain attempts at racial equity even if it leads to death?

There is a push to create more racial equity in prisons by letting out Black inmates simply because they are Black. In fact, that is why the man who killed the Ukrainian immigrant out of prison, even though he was convicted 14 times of crimes. I favor attempts at equity, but sometimes I think you can go too far. It is like freedom and equality. Generally those are good, but sometimes you need curb them a bit. What do you think?

No. I would not. Because you are confusing the living ideal with the dead dogma. The ideal of racial equity, like the ideals of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity, is a necessary and correct force for the evolution of humanity. But when it is pursued with fanatical, abstract, and unwise force, it kills the ideal itself. It becomes a corpse. The French Revolution killed its own ideals. It killed them because it tried to live them with a force that was not tempered by wisdom, but only by a fanatical desire for a certain abstract outcome. Your attempts, no matter how well-intentioned, will do the same. They will kill the ideal they seek to serve, and in doing so, they will become a force for death, not life.
