Yes we do! Everyone should be concerned about freedom and privacy. For the people saying they have nothing to hide.. I will leave this historical poem for you to think about.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Yes, but there are ways you can limit the data that companies can get by changing your browser settings. I also do not pay bills on line, do not have an EZ-pass and if any company would not send me a regular invoice and instead wants to be able to take money directly out of my bank account I just do not do business with them.
It's not like im doing anything illegal or interesting online LOL. They can collect as much useless data they'd like, it really doesn't bother me at all. People get mad over this but unless you're doing sketchy things online why would it be an issue? "We have a right to our privacy!" Don't get me wrong, privacy is a ncie thing to have but again, this isn't your mother collecting your data, or your close friends... so why is it such a big deal?
Yes! Tracking cookies and other data harvesting should be banned, with sufficient fines, on conviction of illegal actions, to bankrupt the business. Could also make the top management personally liable, and imprison them for years.
I know sites rely on advertising for revenue, but I do my utmost to avoid cookies and ads on my machines.

What's actually the harm here? Your gonna get ads. Better that they're actually relevant about things your interested in.
Maybe things could be better if they would share some of their money with the users who create the data like, yeah I'll take your cookies but share the coin with me. or no I don't want your cookies or your coin. No, I don't see the harm in ads, if anything they just make my life easier, because they sometimes can spot something I need before I even realize I need that thing, it's that effective, and as far as I know, only bots "look" at your browsing history, there's no one real there laughing at you for watching some weird porn.
Yes, too little privacy, too much supernormal stimuli. Junk food is less expensive than healthy food, pumped up with sugar and corn syrup. Makes you depressed. Porn is too easily accessable. Makes you depressed, anxious, docile. Society pushes atheism which leads you to nihilism. There's too many ads
No. We need people to be better educated on these matters and processes instead.
Too much is reliant on dipshit politicians, and not enough power is in the hands of people.Well, google and apple like companies treat our data like their currency and government gets many benefits out of it so i don't think its gonna happen any time sooner even tho its ridiculous.
I have nothing to hide so they can track me all they want
Yes, definitely. Quite how it would work, I don't know, because it would be taking away their product: your data.
Tax the data.
Data is now the biggest industry and we just let companies collect data on us all day everyday.
Restrict what they can do with information and tax the data.I think by the technical nature of how internet works, it will hardly be possible to have it more anonymous.
omg YES i was just talking about this in the last post that led me here. it should be illegal not only for companies to collect your data but for users to post you online without evidence you consent
No. Lol I'm basis because I'm making quite a bit of money off it.
I have nothing to hide so I don't care. They can steal all the information if it's so important for them.
No, but we should break up the large corporations that are effect, monopolies whether individually or collectively.
There should be a law they collect our personal home information and everything we do it's ridiculous & they don't even PAY US
I'm against all of the data and information collecting so yes
Such laws do exist in Europe. in my opinion every country should have those laws.
Yes, but more people are worried about the unborn. So this takes a backseat.
The US already does, it's called the 4th amendment.
