I don’t necessarily think so. To be dead honest, the biggest challenge conservatives face is their refusal to let go of white nationalism (whether real or a perception), or at least, only accepting people of color who have adopted the prescribed “white American way of life”, and holding that way of life as the one and only acceptable standard for the country. If you got rid of that, you could certainly garner more support for other conservative agendas like lower taxes, states’ rights over federal mandates, etc…. you just have to drop anything and everything that reeks of any sort of intolerance, that’s currently being phased out as “unacceptable” by modern human culture, which is what ultimately defines “the rules.”
I’m sure after slavery ended in the 1860s there were lots of people like “FUCK Abe Lincoln, I want to have slaves”, and eventually those people and their attitudes had to be stomped out, either metaphorically or even quite literally, to create the new “American standard” of society. It still wasn’t that good for black folks, but I think we at least got to a point where the average person could be like “yeeeeaaaaahhhhh, our bad for the slavery thing, we fucked that up.” A century and a half later we’re still trying to iron it all out, which is kind of crazy, when you think of all the other shit we’ve made exponential progress on. We used to rely on horses for transportation, and now we can take rockets to the fucking moon…. but there are still racists walking around in pretty fair abundance today, just satisfied enough that they won’t enslave anyone. That’s pretty wild.
The electoral college actually protects racist attitudes, as well as other good, bad, and ugly regional traits or norms, that’s what gives Republicans a fighting chance, since political opinions are so based upon local peer pressure and influence, and no one wants to be disinvited from the Johnsons’ neighborhood BBQ for having differing politics, plus there’s just the subconscious echo chamber effect that occurs where your way is definitely right and anyone else must live in a far away land of crazies. Like I firmly believe a lot of people (both parties) don’t truly believe what they would organically believe, they believe what they think will make them most palatable to other people whose respect and friendship they want. I don’t think they even realize the internal lying that’s happening, so there’s no way to identify it and maybe correct it, they believe “no, this is simply ‘what I think.”, and that just can’t possibly present itself as “wrong” to them.
Anyway, in an increasingly diverse country, anything not accepting and fostering diversity is simply not going to fly anymore in 21st century America. Diversity needs to be radically accepted by the right, incorporated into their political strategy, and not in the current way, where you find the one-in-a-million minority with disdain for other minorities (looking at you, Candace Owens), who say the things racist white people want to hear, like “I told you it wasn’t us, it’s THEM!”
Conservatives need to board up that whole building and abandon it forever, and loudly denounce those who try to reopen the doors, not tiptoe around it because you’re scared to piss off some faction of your existing voter base. “We stand for A, B, and C, but we no longer support D, and anyone who does, please turn in all your pro-Republican hats and t-shirts and bumper stickers, and get the fuck out, you aren’t welcome here anymore.”

We are already effectively at that point, not because of voting blocks but because there are so many RINOs now that even when there's a Republican majority in the legislature, the "political establishment" still maintains an actual majority and can still do pretty much anything they want as long as they're more cautious about it, and they all favor centralizing power and protecting themselves at the expense of others. Texas senator Cornyn is one of the worst, yet he never gets the same scrutiny that Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell do, probably in part because he's able to hide in Ted Cruz's shadow. Unfortunately he just won reelection, so Texas is stuck with Cornyn for another six years. These people will actively sabotage their own party when they're in power, they'll spoon-feed 95% of everything the Democrats want straight to them, and it's only when the Republicans are in a minority and basically powerless that they will bother to stand up, make hollow speeches about constitutionality and personal freedoms because they know nothing they say or do will disrupt what they've really got going behind the scenes.
Texas also managed to avoid making the news during all the voter fraud stuff back in November despite having four major busts within a week of the election (one of which favored the Republicans). This matters though, because at lower level elections especially in the cities, the state is voting about 70:30 against Democrats (voting against the Dems is more universally important in Texas than supporting the Republicans, to the benefit of independents and libertarians) as of within the last year, yet at the federal level it's closer to 55:45. Personally, I don't know anyone who actually votes that way as pretty much everybody goes party line, and this is also in spite of the massive influx of immigrants who we are supposed to believe vote blue...
If the Dems steal the election in a year from now, we'll be a communist country. That won't last long, because there will be a war that will make the last civil war look like child's play.
The Dems are sell outs. Soon, the Chinese Commies they can't stand up to will own them. I believe the Republicans will fight for traditional values, not those sell outs.

The Democrat party is about to collapse. I’d assume the refugees from that party would create some sort of new party to distance themselves from the unmanageable image crisis they are now dealing with.
Don't be daft. American is headed to become a real and proper democracy someday with multiple political parties - or die trying.
My money is on the "die trying" though. The only way Texas will turn liberal is if more Californian move in
The Hispanic vote isn't what people really thing it is. They all don't vote Democrat. Most immigrants from the Northern Triangle and other countries are more aligned with Republican political values than Democrat. They escaped the Marxist-Socialist countries to come here.
The reason they do start out here is for the promise of a free life.It is amazing how people think their political identity is the most important thing in their entire life.
Maybe the world is a bit bigger than liberals and conservatives. That or this country will be ran by cooperation where your work where you live and you paycheck go to your amenities.
Or 3rd option the country will spilt into red state and blue state only united by military and the federal government will be disbanded.
So mini countries. It already is. Both parties are extreme right wing business parties that call each other communists and nazis for public effect
No because if the Republican Party were to collapse, it would only be a matter of time before a split formed between different wings of the Democratic Party resulting in a practically new party. It happens all the time in politics.
Its way to convinient for both parties to blame the other one for everything thats bad.
The Republicans have a choice to make. They can adapt or die. It appears they've chosen to die.
Disclaimer: Death may be political, not actual.Right now, America's headed down the toilet and Joey can't WAIT to flush us down!!!
People on both sides are being divided, indoctrinated, brainwashed, and being slowly made to hate each other. Eventually it will become a civil war.
People need to be careful who they vote for while there still is a possibility of a fair election.
It’s already a one party political system.
You have had a one party system for a long time.
doesn't matter whether its Democrat or Republican
