+1 yBoomers made waves on the career ladder as things started to become more available to them. I don't disagree they didn't work hard.
But they are the ones sitting in the top tier jobs refusing to create opportunities for the up and coming generations.
Boomers are the ones that have and still continue to mess us up. They earned more and spent less time with their kids, they replaced time with things.
That set the tone for the selfish generations. The problem is. In the 90s kids were heavily nourished in culture many of their parents traveled often for leisure many times for work.
That made them more educated, as they had adaptive learning, more kids were pulled out of boarding schools and homeschooling became an option boomers were the hippie parents they broke the norms of the factory working, military serving generation before.
Boomers although they are glad they provided that lifestyle they fear being knocked of that spot.
Boomers are the shadiest generation.
They're the ones that have messed us up.
They're the last standing group to come from dysfunctionally large families that from day dot had to fight to keep the food on their plate at the dinner table.20 Reply

+1 yit was a group effort tbh. There's no one generation that's responsible, everyone is feeding each others hate. In my opinion all generational hatred does is divide us into more weird groups with arbitrary titles to avoid the real issue which is a government slowing going more authoritarian. The connection politicians have to everything is terrifying and a lot of our issues have stemmed from government intervention of some kind.

+1 yI would argue all generations listed here are at fault.
The boomers tho, they are a special kind of shit human. They allowed the United nations to enforce these ridiculous sustainable development goals that are ruining humanity.
They also allowed for systemic corruption to be overlooked and taken mainstream worldwide.
They embraced and encouraged the invasion and destruction of of countless countries using united states government budgeted programs to steal opium fields and oil land.
And every generation after that is guilty for not standing up to the corrupt political lobbying efforts of corporations that want to destroy land and waste resources.
They will blame the end user consumer all day, but the reality is that our governments are allowing mega corporations to literally purge the land of nutrition and sustainability with illegal bribery tactics and campaign funds.
Overall if we abolished the Rockefeller school system and Rockefeller medicine model. We might have a chance at restoring humans within a few generations.
We are too far gone and its everyone's fault.00 Reply
+1 yFor the first time in 150 years, more men 18-34 live at home with their parents than out on their own or with a spouse.
It’s not women that are getting paid less than men either. It’s the complete opposite. On average, women are smarter than men. I could see living with your parents til you finish college, but after 25? What a bunch of losers. Yet they’re on here pretending they have a great life. Thanks young men for dumbing down America, for being too lazy to get an education and a job. For thinking women should just open their legs for you.
My neighbors son lives with his parents. He’s got an 84 month car loan on a Civic Type R and works part-time. Plays video games and over the last year has gotten fat. Oh yeah and he hits his parents too. That’s another thing young men do today. They don’t respect anyone. And they vote D too aka useful idiots.33 Reply- +1 y
I had a friend from high school who went to school and got his computer programming degree. Once he finished, he looked at the job listings and said "this doesn't pay enough." An entry level computer programmer and he wanted to make 6 figures.
So I called him out on it and he tells me "I dont want to do programming anymore. I want to be a butcher on a ship cause I can wear a cool chain mail vest."
He then proceeded to live with his parents and he is now 43.

I have a Masters and couldn't get a job in the US, I now live in South East Asia. Millennials are not lazy boomers messed up the economy. We have higher test scores and lower crime rates than you when you were young. You Generation X people got addicted to crack, drove up the murder rate and now you have the gall to lecture us.
- +1 y
@Jackblue
Unlike you, I cite my points. With you being intelligent, I assumed you would see that what I said applies as a whole.
Obviously not every single person is lazy.
Still, how can you argue the point I made about more people living with their parents than alone or with a spouse in 150 years?
Now think what has occurred during your growing up that no other generation experienced? Think hard. What would you be doing if you had no internet?
You might be going to the mall to buy clothes. To Best Buy to get electronics, Barnes and Noble for books. The library to study. Playing outside. Yeah, more crime makes sense.
Now everything is at the tip of your fingers. You don’t think that makes a difference with laziness?
When I was younger, being sent to your room was a punishment. Not anymore.
If we’re addicted to crack, you think that exempts you from being addicted to anything? How bout social media? All these places are loaded with people taking selfies galore. Echo chambers on forums and Twitter, Apps to meet up and fuck. Women masturbating on onlyfans. Guys jacking off to endless porn.
How would you like the pandemic if their was no internet? Sitting at home. What would you do for entertainment?
I personally don’t care what you may think of my generation. I can take it. I focus on myself, family and my world. I only have a 4 year, but have been very successful with stocks.

- +1 y
It was theorized that the gen z was gonna be the most conservative (or maybe it was republican) young generation since the baby boomers. I don't know how true that is anymore, unfortunately. My sister is a left wing extremist and a millennial. She says that the left hasn't gone far enough left yet and thats why things are in the shitter.
- +1 y
@tiajoka Eh, might depend on where you live. Or the conservative side of Gen Z might have merely gotten more vocal. Maybe it is true to a smaller degree, but it's overly exaggerated.
- +1 y
@KlinkyCoder yeah, that's why I'm saying I don't think its too true anymore. They just got like that for a bit because if all the wreckt feminist videos 🤣
All of them, but probably boomers the most (yeah, I'm one of them). We were the generation that had the 'use it and then throw it away' mentality. I once had a computer keyboard where one of the letter buttons broke off. I tried to find a replacement button, but ya know what? It was cheaper and easier to just get a whole new keyboard! We were given more material things than any previous generation, which spoiled us rotten. We were the first generation to sit in front of the TV, and we were bombarded with ads telling us our lives wouldn't be complete unless we bought such-and-such a product. All these wonderful products end up in a dump two years later, partially because they were deliberately built to break, so you have to keep buying a new one. Such is life.
20 Replyi think baby boomers, a lot of them have this unnatural idea of how the bedroom is supposed to work and they've never thought about why their divorce rates were so damn high. Being a prude isn't healthy for anyone. I learned that after i finally lost my virginity. Even though i hated the way i lost it I also understood that we put too much emphasis on the first time too. I'd be a lot more emotionally health now and probably wouldn't have had my relationship woes in the past if i never took any advice from a boomer on women.
30 ReplyBruh so many of y'all saying gen z when some of them just started middle school. 😭
Gen z have pretty much no accountability at this point. They're still innocent and just figuring things out based on their culture, they don't have the power or mentality to think things in their own way that they will in a few years. Whoever said gen z has no idea how this stuff works.
The current liberal corruption is do to the millennials, and they were enabled by the gen x. And the gen x enabled them because boomers were way too hard on them. And the silent gen was hard on them because they lived through the great depression and were hardened.
But at this point in time, gen z is just in the footsteps that millenials left. They haven't quite started making their own.20 Reply- 411 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yGen Z easily. They are literally trying to erase ANY traces of history they find unpleasant and/or only want to tell parts of history that fit whatever goals they have in mind. If they succeed, they doom future generations to repeat the bad parts of history. The point of history is to learn lessons from it, but that can only be done if you stick to ALL facts, not just the ones that make you feel better or just the once that advance your agenda. Coincidentally enough, more Gen Z people are liberals. Go figure.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI don’t understand how and why blaming any generation helps in any way shape sort or form lmao? What happened has happened and “generations” do not make collective decisions - each individual makes their own and to each their is a consequence. We happen to be in the worst time for climate change and our generation contributes a lot to it we might not have started it but we feed it today. Sp what’s the point of the blame game other than wasting time? We should focus rather on solutions to our current problems. These boomers are too old to hold responsibility anyway. We got fucked and we choose to adhere to the old rules.
Opinion Owner+1 yI am working with your sense if boomers are to blame we ain’t going anywhere there is no crime committed our generation is technically screwed because of things like climate change which by the way we contribute to just as much and maybe worse for example phones the resources we use in phones and how we throw them away to get new ones before they ever get old is insane. Each generation has harmed the environment in some sort and we choose to adhere to societal norms the older generations caused for example the class struggle we use their exact old system still to this day. If we want change we should work on it rather than pointing fingers into not even specific individuals but generations sounds stupid asf like whom are we suing in court if this was a thing.
- +1 y
How are you working with my sense? I haven't blamed a single generation in this thread. I never even said you had to pick one of the options. I do this quite often to see how many choose the option not provided.
Don't believe me? Go look at some of my other polls. I specifically put in the comment section that I was happy for those who didn't select an option I provided. I am a firm believe in people thinking for themselves and not just going with the options in front of them and just using original thought.
Don't get me wrong, picking an option provided is fine too, but just I always find kinship with those who pick the unwalked path and can provide valid and rational thought behind why. It gives me an opportunity to learn new things.
Opinion Owner+1 yI am not attacking you. You might wanna read my comments again too. They are general statements and a participation in the conversation nothing personal.

Generation X spent to much time partying and not enough time paying attention to the politicians and businesses outsourcing our nation's industries to China. Milinnials are by far the most insufferable with thete avocation of communism, while sucking down shitty corporate coffee and loving thier whole lives on a phone. And Generation Z... not sure what your going to do wrong yet but odds are your just as fucked up as the generations before you.

+1 yThe question is silly. It absolutely has to be The Greatest Generation because they are the oldest generation. The older a generation is, by default, the more damage they did, and are doing for future generations. On the contrary, the youngest generations can't possibly do the most damage to future generations at this moment. In 100 years, Generation Alpha, Generation Z, and Millennials will be the generations to do the most damage to future generations, and vice versa.
02 Reply- +1 y
The oldest doesn't necessarily mean doing the most damage. After a certain point their influence over society is severely lessened. We also have to take into account the effect social media has on our society and it's race to the bottom. I seriously doubt they are doing much on that front either.
- +1 y
The oldest generation right now has to have done the most damage. Not every person in the oldest generation, but as a whole, they have to have done the most damage.
In 50 years, Millennials will have done the most damage, as a whole.
You're not understanding what I'm saying. I'm not saying The Greatest Generation is currently, or has been the worst generation; I'm just saying after living for 90-110 years, by default, they have done the most damage.
+1 ySorry, I accidently clicked the wrong option! C is my real vote.
21 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I would have to say the Boomers and Generation X are a tie. The main reason is the Vietnam war. Both generations pushed our country into it and sat back tell the mid 1970s to do anything to stop it. Also both generations treated the draftees like crap when they got back. If anything our government and the boomers and generation x and to blame for the Vietnam War and the soldier who fought it shouldn't share in any of the blame.
00 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Every generation has wrecked something at least since the industrial revolution. It's a normal for both the older and younger generation to see how dumb the generation in the middle is acting. I would say that today's generation is wrecking the social structure of society in a very serious way that will have horrible effects on future generations. But they are to blind to see it because they are fighting a blame war with previous generation about the environment.

Also I think the events that transpired between 2007 and 2021 should make us reconsider where the lines between generations are drawn. Specifically the housing bubble bursting and the pandemic should define a generation that came of age during that time period.23 Reply- +1 y

oh well... there was a time right after WW2 in which a lot technological advances were achieved, many of them would have been great to avoid many of the problems and challenges and the things that are of detriment, today... especially when it comes to fuel, medicine and other kinds of energy production... in a simplistic way, we would have been absolutely free of fossil fuels today, but whoever was in charge back then decided that it was best to go into mass production and consumerism of all goods, things and services... since the 50's all the way to the 80's... that's where you can find the roots of consumerism and also the roots for all of the BAD aspects that globalization has brought up onto us
but, I would not go on to blame just one generation for this... everyone is on this, some just looked away, others ignored it, some actively worked to make it happen... and we all future and current generations have embraced it for the most part
we all have done or have NOT done something to make all things worse, and who did the most should not matter because the actual problem is not who started this, but who continues to perpetuate these bad things, which is... all of us, at the end - +1 y
