Alec Baldwin is an idiot who thought it would be funny to point a prop gun loaded with blanks at the crew. The number one rule when carrying a gun loaded with blanks or real bullets is to never point it at people with your hand on the trigger. Blanks explode and still eject fragments. He should be going to jail for manslaughter, but the wealthy democrat elites live under a privileged set of rules, so he will go free. People will say it was someone else's fault, but that is wrong. Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger playing around and killed a person. The only person at fault during a shooting is the shooter himself. The dumb woke left will use this as an excuse for gun control, but that is wrong too. People should have guns if they can show gun responsibility. Alec Baldwin is an example of an idiot who should not be allowed to have a firearm. He is a mean, violent person from his actions and words. And I am not surprised he was reckless enough to kill a person.

Rampage? More like utter, shear, total, and complete irresponsibility on his end! Regardless who loaded the gun, he should know better about how to properly handle one. I don't care if it's a movie "prop" or not. This guy's an idiot and should be charged with involuntary manslaughter at the least.

Gun Safety Rule #1: NEVER point a gun at anyone unless you fully intend to shoot them.

For him to point it at a female tech (or anyone) and then shoot it is incredibly stupid. He easily could have pointed it at the ground instead. The guy is an ass, especially off camera. He's proven that more than once.

Sad situation all around. There were two accidental discharges on the set prior to the Baldwin incident. Union crew members had walked off the set over safety issues and replaced with lower cost scabs. Sounds like safety protocols were not a priority all along. The armorer on set was inexperienced and then you have an actor who probably has no training in the use of firearms at all. Granted he was told the gun was empty but an experienced shooter knows to check the weapon anyway. The whole thing was an accident waiting to happen….. and it did. There’s a lot of blame to go around here. The production company, props manager, armorer, and Baldwin himself are all probably on the hook for negligence here.

Because you still need fully operational firearms in order to make blank cartridges work properly. You need the firing pin and the gun to actually cycle properly if it's a semi-auto. What I am reading is that this was a Single Action Army, which doesn't have the same recoil action semi-autos do. It's a revolver, you know how it cycles rounds, but it doesn't change the fact that you still need a proper firing pin to fire blanks.

And none of this changes the fact that Alec Baldwin was not following any of the gun safety rules, to the point where people were walking off the set due to it.
