For many of the young people who are so lit up about vaccinations, the importance is not really the vaccine but that you exhibit willingness to submit to authority because the (dys) topian vision that the far left has for our culture requires a compliant herd of lemmings. That is why masks are important are important and that is why vaccines are important and that is why anyone who questions Fauci and the band of covid thugs is so viciously attacked.

I have been vaccinated, have been exposed multiple times, and have not developed covid. Perhaps I'm lucky.
- +1 y
Right, and what are the stats on the severity of cases for vaccinated vs. unvaccinated?
- +1 y
You can judge a disease by your personal experience or the experience of just the people you know. And I have attended two funerals for covid victims.
- +1 y
@OlderAndWiser i completely agree with you.
@cthom1243If you are vaccinated, there's a good amount of chance that you can contract covid, but your symptoms won't be as severe if you are vaccinated. Nobody should judge anyone (but sadly, people do and thats human nature) and its very wrong to wish death on someone just because they are not vaccinated. I really do think *some* people should consult their physicians and then make a decision instead of basing their decisions off of their political affiliations. I am just saying this in general. I have heard that some people develop allergic reactions after getting the vaccine, that is why you should leave the decision up to your physician.

Okay so about 5 years ago we still have the newspaper here I was reading an article it has over 30 different types of death over 3,700 people died that year in my city and it listed all of the ways people died cancer. Gunshot wound. Car accident. Pregnancy. Old age. Common cold. And then when covid came out I looked it up that one person died of old age cancer gunshot wounds are any of the above everybody died covid so that's a miracle God had to come down from the heavens because that is a miracle even though it's bullshit the hospital should be ashamed of yourself for everybody that died and you put down on the death certificate covid-19 death is a lie and that's bulshit I go into a plumbing outfit everyday when you walk in the doors your meeting with a girl with a temperature tester for over a year-and-a-half now I've asked her how many people she's had to turn away she is told me not one now there's over 300 to 500 people that walk in and out of that store every day x 1 year and a half something's wrong with that picture too I still say we're being manipulated and only time will tell what the damage is going to be
44 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Science and politics does not mix. One of the biggest reasons is that both sides of the isle tend to take numbers from unfinished studies and do not account for false positives or negatives in the numbers they are giving out. If anything both sides will build their entire argument around a false positive or negative.
So scientist A is running a series experiments to determine something and the scientists gets a negative result. Due to this the scientists will more then likely run the series of experiments several times in order to ensure that the negative result was a fluke. Once the scientist is sure that the negative result was a false negative they will more then likely have their findings reviewed by a collage. After all of this is when the scientists will publish their paper on it.
Politics on both sides will go straight for a false positive or negative and base their findings on a study that isn't finished and sometimes far from it. This is why when you hear about studies on the news they are quick to say something like "A new study might suggest that" Because the study is new enough that the any results of it are a long ways off from being final and shouldn't be taken as fact. Because said study and the scientists or team working on it have a lot of work to do.10 Reply- 382 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.

an entirely different 'weaponized' concept is to allow plausibly-infectious lifeforms their 'right' to roam freely as contagion vectors BEFORE their passing, upon those who OBEYED common sense prophylactic measures.
Nature grants them their 'right' to risk their lives (like sky divers and base jumpers) that DOES NOT extend to careening down upon INNOCENT BYSTANDERS who similar 'rights' are thereby violated.

+1 yMy wife's family is all vaxed. My family refuses the shots as do my wife and I. Right now, the ones taking ALL the risk are those getting the shots, while big pharm makes the $$ and zero liability for any reactions - including death from their shots. We see it as far too risky for a highly survivable virus.
My wife had a long talk with one of her sisters about this. Her sister (s) all think we're dumb, ignorant, and uneducated about the shots, yet my wife spent much of that talk explaining things about the shots her sister was completely unaware of. So much for ignorant and uneducated at least.
My wife and I had C-19 this past March. As far as I'm concerned, our natural immunity is FAR better than any shots we can get.
We simply avoid talking to her side of the family, especially if it involves C-19. They're avoiding us like we have the plague, but they won't come out and tell us that to our faces. It's not easy, but we usually avoid talking to them when we can.216 Reply- +1 y
Dang I’m glad you and your wife are ok that’s absolutely crazy, but I’ve talked to so many who are vaccinated and hateful towards them they’re not. +1 yVaccinated here. I don’t wish death on them, I don’t even wish they get the illness. While I do recommend the vaccine I don’t tell anyone what to do with their own body HOWEVER, I think a lot of people wish it because people are writing off the COVID-19 virus as just another cold.
Also, all I had to do was say I got the vaccine and I had anti-vaxxers call me a government
sheep. I’ve also been mocked by complete strangers in public for wearing a mask. Granted that’s not a death wish but just know it goes both ways30 ReplyI don't know. But if a person could wish death upon anyone for any reason. It shows me who they are and it’s scary. I could be livid as hell. But I’d never wish death upon someone. Maybe justice for a crime. They act this way because the truth triggers them so I think they get even more angry because subconsiously they know they fucked up by getting the shot so now they want everyone else to get it too.
I just roll my eyes at the extremist and move on, they're not worth the time. I respect a person's decision regardless of what they decide. The vaccine is simply an immune system booster and a temporary one at that. Supposedly it's supposed to lessen the symptoms if you get it, nothing more.
I've been working in retail pretty much the whole pandemic dealing with close to a thousand different people every day, most of the time unmasked. I've never been afraid of the virus, and I've had coworkers who got it and came back fine. Your odds of survival are very high, unless you have certain preexisting conditions which would make you more immune compromised.30 Reply532 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Nobody seem to respect individual rights or choices anymore... everything got to illegal or legal, Pro or Anti... Life or Death... its sad.11 ReplyThat's honestly the way people have treated everything COVID from the very beginning. Everything was politicized. Everything was an attack. Everything was culty. And people just loved taking every opportunity they could find to be mean to each other.
The reason *some* vaccinated people are wishing death on the unvaccinated is the same reason that it took a year and a half to talk about the possibility that the novel coronavirus might have originated in the CORONAVIRUS SUPER LAB THAT HAPPENS TO BE LOCATED IN THE SAME CITY THE PANDEMIC STARTED IN. And that reason is that huge percentage of the population lacks any kind of critical thinking skills. It's not their fault, they're doing the best they can with the information available to them, they've just been lied to by a bunch of people that they've never been given any reason not to trust.10 ReplyThat’s the narrative the media matrix is presenting to the world. The copper tops are stuck in the matrix... People that are prone to herd mentality tend to soak up the brain wash propaganda, run out to get the experimental vaccine candidates without due diligence, etc. They are scared to stand out, so they go with the flow... That flow is taking them right over the rocks tumbling into a dark place...
11 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. People have made this just as ugly and divisive as they have politics in this country. The truth is that both sides have valid points. The anti-vaxxers see it as an infringement on personal freedom (which it is) and the pro-vaxxers see it as prolonging a public health crisis (which it is). The days of understanding the other side and realizing that other people may value principles other than our own seem to be over and that’s a shame.

15 Reply2.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. They are scared brainwashed idiots that will do anything to feel safe. If they have the vax and they think it works, then the unvaxed are only a threat to themselves. The crazy vaxtards need somebody to blame all their problems on, like Hitler and the Jews. Vaxed people still get and spread covid like the unvaxed and anybody who thinks they don't is a retard. The only thing the vax may or may not do is keep them from getting sicker. Either they will not be able to make new vaccines fast enough for the latest virus mutations, or they will create the new virus mutation to sell more vaccines. Unfortunately I think this is not going to go away. It's too easy for the pharmaceutical companies to get rich off of our tax dollars now and I don't think they will ever let it stop until the government puts a stop to it, but the people in the government are in their pocket. I also hear unvaccinated people say the same type of thing wishing adverse reactions or death on the vaccinated as well. I think deep down the root of the issue isn't that vaccinated or unvaccinated people aren't that different in that some people aren't good, bad, nice, mean etc.

My feelings are, why do we need to protect someone that doesn’t want the vaccine? That is their choice and I don’t want to be told to do things that I don’t want to do to protect the non vaccinated!

My choice to satisfy the government and get the shot was so that I could travel in the time that I have left to enjoy my retirement. Which I did do the National Park’s tour this year. Had to wear a mask in the plane and any Federal buildings plus show that I was jabbed.

Im not see vaccinated people "wishing death" on the unvaxxed. I see them being indifferent and not caring if they get sick and die from an easily preventable disease, now that there is a clearly safe and effective vaccine that prevents serious illness and death from Covid.
Over 2/3 of Americans are already vaccinated, so the unvaxxed are a dwindling minority. I would say that most vaccinated people don't care what they do either way, now that there is a vaccine.01 Reply- Show More (12)
