No.
Because 1) I'm not God (nor do I believe in God). And I also don't believe in "good and evil." That's not to say, selfishness, greed, corruption, and tyranny aren't all negative and detrimental to society.
2) Not every law is purposeful or meaningful. Like, are jaywalkers "criminals" too? Weed smokers? People with unpaid taxes? Edward Snowden?
3) Saying "Only actual criminals, tyrants and the corrupt in positions of power" is subjective. Who determines who's "bad enough" to wipe away? Who determines who's truly powerful? Chris Pratt is probably worth a few million bucks and is in a "position f power." Guess he gets snapped too for the crime of being a successful Capitalist?
4) I wouldn't want to be judge by the same standards I myself wouldn't want to be judged by. What if some radical feminist was in this position and thought I was to be wiped away for being a heterosexual male? Again, it's all subjective.
5) Just like Thanos' plan was stupid (although at least MCU Thanos didn't do it just to try to literally f*ck the Grim Reaper), so is this one. It doesn't get rid of all the problems that lead to criminals in the first place, which is usually desperation, low education, few opportunities, or a lack of moral upbringing. Say I got rid of all of the politicians in Washington D. C What's to stop new scumbags from taking their place?
So no. I wouldn't do this. If anything, I'd just make humanity smarter. "Good and evil" only exist as ways for us to get along and not kill each other. "Good" is just cooperation and peaceful coexistence, while "evil" is just destructive selfishness. Even in the most moral-less, purely intellectual perspective, it's far better to be cooperative and to help each other, than it is to destroy for your own gain.
And as much as I hate conformity and mediocrity, I once had an intelligent conversation with @Mia-Wallace about the benefits of a conformist society like Scandinavia. How, "when everyone works together, everyone wins." As opposed to the Western standard of "one millionaire and 100,000 poor people." A more intelligent society would be the best "Infinity Stone wish" to hope for. But even that would probably not be a good idea, as we wouldn't have earned that intelligence.
It's funny how most the women said "yes," though.

You're going to have to go more into detail on what kind of criminal. You'd probably be snapping nearly everyone because everyone has breached the speed limit or has broken any other extremely easy to break law.
There are a lot of people who were wrongly convicted. Wrong place at the wrong time or just because one person said something they were arrested
Yes! As long as it's actual criminals

I was about to ask if I could choose a specific criminal type. I'd do it for all the people who violate traffic laws, combined with the violent criminals. Not fraudsters, I think those people should be forced to repay the stuff they stole the rest of their lives, even if they have to work in a slave camp to do it... cause no one will hire them.
Traffic laws is because many times people, bad drivers cut me off and if I had hit them, they would of died. Speed often leads to many deaths and car crashes, all of which are not accidents because they could be avoided by patience and good car maintenance. We get people going over a 100 mph here down the freeway. Little old me going 65 pulling a trailer, two line road... passing a semi going up a hill, I pull into the fast lane to pass them as they are only going 45... now that car coming up at a 110 rear ends me. Ruins my trailer and kills themselves or their kids, passengers, etc... had they be going the speed limit that never would of happened.No.. because imagine if you had a time machine and you could go back in time and get rid of every criminal. If you want to be fair you have to make no exceptions. Eventually you discover that the first couple of humans were totally a-hole criminals. They just got away with it because there were no cops. So you wipe them out. Next thing you know there's no humans at all.
There's a biblical prophecy about a future point in time when anyone engaged in criminal stuff will be instantly killed by supernatural forces.Come ON this ain't X-Men man lol BUT now u know I should answer your question I Would not be worry about tyrants but HELL YEAH TYRANTS WOULD BE trying to figure out how too bend there knee too me when I hit there courtyland next lol and the only snap IL be doing is snaping the fuc out of the whole world gold bars reserves all the gold bars in too my first black Asian alittle splash of Portuguese but yeah Yeah my first Scrooge McDuck money tower and I'm puting a diving board in that shit too 🔥😁🤣🤣 my master plan shhh don't tell no one 😂😂😂😂😂
- Crossing a red light on a cross
- Driving faster than the speed limit
- Not returning found items to owners
There are thousands of laws that are broken on daily bades by people in all levels of society, in all races and ages, all over the world.
Thanos snap on criminals would eliminate over 99% of humans. The reason there is crime, is that the world economy is so unstable and unfair. We as humans dont care about each other as we care about those that are our loved ones.
So Hell No to The Thanos Snap. No! Good and evil are points of view, nothing more. My boy Pain (also using popular culture) brings that point to life in Naruto shippuuden.
Killing of all criminals is a far too easy concept. According to what laws? By what values? By who's point of view? If the gauntlet got into the hands of enemies to the West and a person from there snapped their fingers, who would die? And by extension of that argument, if I snapöed my fingers to kill off everyone I percieve as evil, how many would die and how many more reliant on them would die as a result and what would that action then make me?
On a sidenote, I love the gender representation on this question. 😂So that would include people who punched someone for calling their wife the "n-word," people whose job is to make fast food appear more tasty than it looks in reality, and probably almost every politician. No... not unless we're on the verge of an overpopulation collapse and it's either this or build a genetically engineered plague.
If we could prosecute the people I dislike for the crime of me disliking them and thereby having them become criminals - Then yes without a single doubt I would - If in reality we're talking about criminals in general - Maybe putting my knee on their neck is more of a hands-on experience than a snap - might have to ask officer chauvin though which one is more effective
Absolutely not. This is one of those "roads to hell paved with good intentions"/"greater good" things. Although when the proposition is just directly murdering millions of 'untermensch', I hardly even see the good intention.
That's to say nothing of how such power to enact that policy would be horrendously abused.I have 2 felonies on my record that I absolutely did not do, I would however dissappear the crooked ass cops and the peice of shit judge involved in my case and all child molesters and rapists and woman and child beaters for sure but I know that some people are capable of changing and were under the influence of drugs and such and should be issued another chance.
If you’re basically erasing millions of people from existence, wouldn’t you technically be an even worse person than 99% of the ones you erased? Would you yourself be erased? Ethical and existential questions aside, some of the worst people in history have had a role in changing the course of history ultimately for the better. I’ll leave the eternal damnation to God.
No because the world would collapse because most people has committed some kind of illegal activity in their life even if they didn't got caught doing it so that snap wouldn't just turn me to dust but almost everyone that isn't a toddler.
I guess you mean hardened criminals that have done really bad things otherwise we all might be gone since everyone has done something against the law , but eventually there would be new ones from people being born. There was an old movie like that but can’t remember what the name was but a crazy scientist invented a machine like that and he disappeared too after turning it on , lol
Depends. A good person could become tyrant as take over leader’s role. People can make poor choice like mug, break in and rob because they are poor and need money for foods or medicines. The cycle of crime won’t never break.
If we could narrow that down to violent criminals and rapists/child molesters then count me in. 👍
Every criminal in the world... Can you please narrow down just what in the hell you mean as something being a criminal act? Let me put it this way.. (yes, I'm borrowing this... duh) He without no sin, may cast the first stone. Seriously Mom? (catholic joke) In other words if you were to do that, who in the would be left?
Without a god damn thought… he’ll even with the people ide die for I’m not sure Ide refuse to press the button that ends a random half of humanity… but choosing who dies without a second thought.
Majority of humans would disappear, if not most since there are a lot of funny laws created by messed up individuals in most countries on this planet.
We as humans brake multiple laws every day without being aware of it.Evil is as much a requirement to social development, as good.
You cannot have one or the other. Hence why Thanos was largely a joke in his ideology. He was just a simple minded psychopath.Since that would kill everyone on the planet, seems like a bad idea. Somewhere there is a law against just about everything. Corruption is a morality thing, not a legal thing. Morals and laws are not the same.
