Possibly, but I think America's biggest issue is that so many Americans complain and take life for granted, and feel like putting up a fight with managers - and I don't love managers or retail, don't get me wrong - even about the simplest part-time jobs, when we don't have it nearly as bad as some other countries.

You got people in India and Nepal making a couple cents a day or even a week to try to live on. Africans within their own countries who have to travel from villages to the city just to make money, and send most of it home. Asians slaving away in sweat shops to make our shit. And the list goes on.

I suppose I wish Americans would man up a little more and stop acting like their lives are the end of the world.

If you take a great range of the American population you'll certainly find very lazy, specially young, people. However, if you take their history into account, you'll see that they have created many things that lazy people are not capable of.
Using my country as a comparison, an American have six times more productivity than a Brazilian and this is due their technological progress plus creative freedom. If you ask me what I think of Americans, lazy is not in my list, but a lot of them are self-centred as romans once were before the barbarian invasion.

Let's not forget that not all people in America 🇺🇸 are legal Americans; and there are millions of them here that are here in America that aren't Americans. Include them when you judge that "Americans are too lazy!"
You can't believe everything you hear about a country 🇺🇸 as over populated as America. ☮️

It is so weird. I went to Paris on an extended project. Me and my American counterparts were getting to the site everyday before 9am and working until 9pm.

Our French counterparts were getting in around 9:30, taking a two hour lunch, and leaving at 4:15.

Europeans get a minimum of four weeks of vacation. They get paid family leave for a birth of a child. There are ordinances that say every desk for an employee must have access to sunlight.

But Americans have been totally tricked into thinking we are the lazy ones.
    Go figure.

Not necessarily, there are some that are workaholics. One thing to consider is the generation. Boomers and Gen X were raised to work hard to get what they are after. Millennials tend to feel entitled, they typically won’t stay with a job if they don’t get what they want, and so many live with their parents that they don’t have the repercussions of not having a job

In general, yes. NOT based on the number of hours worker but based on whether or not people put in the effort to raise their kids properly, and to maintain an orderly society. Too many people got lazy and now the country is falling apart at an accelerated rate.

Some are, some are not, just like everywhere else. I know very hard workers who put in a lot of hours at work and are highly productive. I also know many entitled welfare lazy butts, who the only work they put in, is whatever government requirement they have to do to continue being free loaders.

Yes. Many people want to become bosses and supervisors so they can make more money without investing the effort to get there. And when they get to that point they are ill prepared, trying to delegate tasks based solely on their title and with no sense of leadership. This creates an inflated management system with no inherent work ethic. I think the true American motto is, getting the most amount of benefit for the least amount of effort.

Yes many are very very lazy they just want the government to take care of them they're basically twelve-year-old who never grow up and the government is their new mommy and daddy now that their real mom and dad are saying you need to get a job. So they get very angry and become very violent socialists

Incorrect if you look at numbers China's military has surpassed American look at the recent test test with their hypersonic rockets even military Tech has surpassed Americas. America's currency is near hyperinflation about to lose worldwide reserve status that would be the final nail in the coffin of the American Empire collapsing.

America has fallen that American Empire is gone you're living in its last day

Over-all they are hard working people. You do hear of the lazy ones, but you can't judge a nation off of a minority of the population. And currently you do hear of people not taking jobs that are available. It doesn't mean that the majority of the nation is made up of this.

Yes, lots of younger generation Americans are lazy. However, most of the conservative people you meet will not be lazy people. Some people who are more liberal are hard working, but most of them what to feed of the government and have socialism.

Socialism still needs people to work. Capitalism is okay with high unemployment because it means a big pool of cheap labour. Just saying.

@EnglishEuropean In socialism, the people work. They give their money to the government. The governments uses that money and distributes it back to the workers. Therefore, you are under the control of the government. Now, that is quite simplified, but pretty much explained it. It doesn't work because humans have sinful natures and, when given that power over people's lives, will use it. For example, imagine you don't believe in getting vaccinated because you don't feel comfortable with it. However, the government wants you to. So they take away your healthcare so you will be forced to get vaccinated, because you can't get healthcare without the governments help.
Just because capitalism, according to you, needs a high unemployment doesn't mean it's bad. The thing about capitalism is that it gives even the most bottom rung people in that economy the chance/opportunity to do whatever they want to. Therefore, it runs off of personal want and perseverance. In socialism, it's all about equal outcome instead equal opportunity. If I work my rear off to start my own business and make it succeed, than I took hold of the opportunities given to me and worked hard.

The only difference is that in socialism you're controlled by the elected government, in capitalism you're controlled by privately owned corporations.
