Do you find it funny when people say socialism depends on government involvement in the economy when capitalism does as well?

You hear that capitalism is a system of trade and production that's free from government involvement while socialism depends on the "nanny state". Well here's the problem: the system of trade in capitalism is dependent on agreements that are legally enforceable and who enforces those contracts? The government. If two people want to engage in an agreement without the government dictating terms that's perfectly fine BUT the moment that they ask the government to enforce said agreement, they have invited government involvement into that relationship. So the question isn't whether or not we get the government involved in the economy it's whether the government acts as a balancing force or whether it enforces agreements with no questions asked thereby allowing those with power to use the government as leverage for that power over the rest of the population.

That's also why claims that the vaccine mandate is a violation of bodily autonomy are total BS. You can refuse to get the vaccine AND you could still work for someone; the government just doesn't enforce any agreements you make.

These sorts of idiots don't know the first thing about socialism. Or are naïve enough to think Regan said it right, when he talked about it.

No one financial model works absolutely. Every single one relies on interventions. Capitalism is probably the worst model of all, and it's why China and the Arab states have managed to accelerate so fast, by avoiding it's worst effects.

But most other countries just have too many debts, and financial issues are getting them buried under the fall out. Capitalism is probably what will kill off the West before anything else does.

Seems like capitalism is eating America outsourcing it's jobs building other countries economy like China. But then wanna complain about China now being the number 2.
