And for the record, if a man has to say something almost all of us already do by default, then it means he thinks it's some big special thing and actually doesn't respect females at all. There's nothing remarkable or rare about men respecting girls and women. Like 99.9% of Western men do.

However, I'll also point out there's a big difference between respecting females and treating them like social equals, than it is being a feminist. Considering, you know, feminists have very little respect for women, and absolutely no respect at all for men.

Egalitarian? No. Feminist? Probably, somewhat. Feminism got a bad rep since some years ago and to many people, most really, still leaves a bad taste in the mouth. It is worth noting that most negative responses you get are from people for equality but against feminism. It has a bad reputation.
