"We can’t force unvaccinated people to get vaccinated"We can. Many vaccines which you need to take as kid are already mandatory and talks about mandatory covid vaccines are ongoing. At least in my and other European countries, and I fully support that
It's stupid to do do, it violates the most basic human rights, and it's likely to backfire. If someone forced to take the vaccine gets sick or dies due to any complications after getting it, the government who forced it is guilty of murder and that's a lawsuit---and a whole mess---in the making.
No because this is a free country and people have the right to what they receive in their body, as well that would be discrimination if workplaces did that
Yes, it would be discrimination, legal discrimination. The unvaccinated are not a protected class. Employers are free to fire employees that refuse to be vaccinated.
@slatyb yes employers r free to fire people who aren’t vaccinated but to put it a law where every business and private business have to do so isn’t legal and shouldn’t be, it’s their business so it’s their choice to fire or not
We have lots of laws about businesses that serve the public. Restaurants have to maintain standards of cleanliness and are subject to inspection. Buildings have to be built with sound engineering practices. Establishments that serve alcohol have to follow rules that limit service to minors or to intoxicated people. There are rules to protect workers from unsafe working conditions. Forcing people to work near others who refuse to be vaccinated and are more likely to be infected increases the risk for everyone. Someone's decision to refuse vaccination doesn't just affect them, it affects everyone who shares space with them.
Ja, die Refusenik ist not capable of maintaining die civilisations, zey must be exterminated. Only die pure vax-blooded (booster pending) should be able to feed zemselves, die rest should be left to tot.
It depends on where the person works. If it is a job where they are around elderly or a healthcare position then I do believe in requiring the vaccine but if it’s something like a truck driver….. no
well if the vaccine could prevent you from infecting others like the polio or rabies vaccines do, that would be a good argument but this vaccine doesn't actually do that at all, so you can't actually make that argument.
@genericname85 it does prevent. It just doesn't have a high prevention rate, still it prevents deaths and hospitalizations. Unlike polio vaccines which now have 90-100% effectiveness (because polio isn't around) when they first started giving them it was 80-90% effective, meaning people were still getting polio even if they were vaccinated. This is how vaccines work. The higher the vaccination rate the higher the efficacy.
@Razp_Sorbet it has no prevention of infection others at all. you're exactly as likely to infect someone as before. just your chance of having severe symptoms ever so slightly.
with polio you can not carry the virus and infect others. with covid19 vaccines, you can still carry the virus (even if you're not "infected") and then infect others with it.
If the company likes to be liable with their covid affected employee, it's up to them but I would say it's not a smart move to be so lenient about it. Hiring anyone that you know will just perish (Other than the unvaccinated, there are those who have cancer or on drugs) is just gonna slow down everything and you're just gonna waste your time on them.
COVID has only been deadly primarily for the elderly or those with pre existing conditions. The current surge, Omicron, has proven to be much less dangerous to humans than previous strains. In fact, South Africa, where it began, had an 81% reduction in deaths as a result. All the panic we are seeing in Blue states currently is from the numbers coming into the hospitals.

Why don't the anti-vaxxers notice the mostly unvaccinated people end up in the hospital?
You assume that matters while making the choice. Freedom isn't making the best choice for yourself, freedom is making the choice you want for yourself.
No that's just way too extreme. I'm pro vax and wearing mask, but this would cause far more push back. There's also people who have had allergic reactions to the vaccine. While rare, its there. I had a past coworker who got an allergic reaction.
And they can impose mandates on you like how many bullets you have to eat in the morning. There are lot more of them, then there are of you. If you bring war on people, don't be surprise when you get war.
Okay anonymous karen. And a fucktard to boot. Fuck you and forcing people to do ANYTHING.

Amazing how "live and let live" people turn "my way or the highway" when a little fear comes into play. But let's not be naive... it was never about "live and let live", was it? It's about "you can't tell me what to do, but I can tell you".
This virus just needs to burn itself out and we need nerd immunity. These lock downs are just going to cripple economies and it is going to last forever until we just let it burn through.
When I hear you say unvaccinated shouldn't be allowed to work or go out or anything along those lines. I'm reminded of those people in Germany who told the other people in Germany to out on the yellow star or you can't do this or that.

At mental hospitals, there is no rights to refuse meds.
@Luopio27 well good thing we’re not talking about mental hospitals and medicine, it’s about vaccines

@slatyb well it’s not put in law and it was shot down, if ur that scared stay indoors then, u can’t force everyone to get something they don’t want

No. It’s painfully obvious the vaccines don’t do a fucking thing, when are you going to admit we’re being lied to

@genericname85 the data suggests otherwise. You should reread what I said.

Why don't the anti-vaxxers notice the mostly unvaccinated people end up in the hospital?
Why don’t the vaccinated notice they should mind their business?
It’s mostly conservatives
Shut up, retard.
All that means is some people should have got it who chose not to duh.
why do anti gun people always end up the ones shot?
Yeah i never been to. the hospital and neither has anyone in my family

The really scary part is people like you are allowed to vote.
My country has done that months ago.
If it was up to me, I would have the army simply shoot the anti vax vermin in the head.

Why go anonymous with your totalitarian wet dreams?
So what you're saying is, we have to protect the vaccinated people from the unvaccinated?
Yea, people have a funny way of (not) thinking. Imagine still fearing a virus, that you got the vaccine for.
