Kinda how it is here. Any business. that requires vaccines to enter has to have vaccinated staff. If you don't require vaccinations then you are either unable to open or have capacity limits for how many customers can be in your store at one time.
I find it downright comical that so many people insist on following "the Science" and yet ignoring the idea of a control group. And downright tragic that, having seen the mutagenic effects of mass use of a leaky vaccine- which anyone with a grade-school level of knowledge of natural selection could've told you- they insist on taking a measure that didn't work, and doing it MORE.

2. It's so damn effective, you need 2 shots to start with. Then as those things become ineffective, you need MORE... shots.

4. Even WITH the shots, we're constantly hearing about people getting COVID - who've already had them AND at least 1 booster. So how are these shots helping again?

As for companies being forced to fire people because of something not related to the job, puts a great deal of pressure on them to try and find new people that they have to train. Most jobs are not hire someone and they are good to go in a day, it can take months or even years.

My company has 100+ open positions and if they can't fill them, they are looking to outsource from India, Ukraine and Philippines. Once they outsource those, the chances of those jobs coming back to the USA are unlikely. They have some outsourcing right now from the Ukraine for developers, but it is only used when in house developers are overwhelmed. They've been resistant to outsource but now feel they may have no choice.
These positions require certificates, experience or college degrees. Only tech support is entry level but you have to pass a test to even be considered for a interview for advanced computer knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

The government has no business telling a business what to do about vaccines. Businesses are not stupid. They will always make the decision that is best for their business. For me and my clients, the decision was pretty clear. If you do not have a vaccination card, then you will wear a mask in public areas. But most of us wear masks regardless.
I need to amend my earlier statement. By government, I mean the Federal government. States have jurisdiction here. I would side with businesses of course. It should be their decision.

Definitely, healthy lifestyles should be promoted and legislation should end food deserts that make it hard for communities to have healthy options. Food science should be promoted in schools and subsidies for garbage junk food should end.
But for a global pandemic, when a highly contagious respiratory infection is going around, working out alone is not the answer. Vaccines offer quicker aide and is more widely available.
I wish that people were able to afford healthier lifestyle's, receive better guidance, have healthcare to meet with dieticians. There is personal responsibility to your health but if we want t promote that we should invest in that infrastructure.

We have lots of laws about businesses that serve the public. Restaurants have to maintain standards of cleanliness and are subject to inspection. Buildings have to be built with sound engineering practices. Establishments that serve alcohol have to follow rules that limit service to minors or to intoxicated people. There are rules to protect workers from unsafe working conditions. Forcing people to work near others who refuse to be vaccinated and are more likely to be infected increases the risk for everyone. Someone's decision to refuse vaccination doesn't just affect them, it affects everyone who shares space with them.

Unlike polio vaccines which now have 90-100% effectiveness (because polio isn't around) when they first started giving them it was 80-90% effective, meaning people were still getting polio even if they were vaccinated. This is how vaccines work. The higher the vaccination rate the higher the efficacy.

COVID has only been deadly primarily for the elderly or those with pre existing conditions. The current surge, Omicron, has proven to be much less dangerous to humans than previous strains. In fact, South Africa, where it began, had an 81% reduction in deaths as a result. All the panic we are seeing in Blue states currently is from the numbers coming into the hospitals.
