Pretty sure I caught that variety. Mark my words, they are going to make some discoveries about this "new" strain that may alter how they try and detect it. in my opinion, covid many times has gotten to people including myself undetected and bc of weird symptoms like fatigue, muscle pains, or delusions, (I think delusions was a bigger part of it at one point than ever thought), it can continue to do so and strengthen while we remain naiive in what it's really doing. It's a very exotic virus in my opinion.

Back in middle school, circa around 2008 or so and into around 2012, there was a clever and wildly popular flash game called Pandemic II. The goal was to infect and kill as many people possible before countries shut their borders and/or made a vaccine that worked. The #1 key to beating the game... was to choose a barely noticeable virus. A mild one. Very mild, one that spread barely noticeable but got around to every corner of the Earth. Once that happened, then you gave it all the strengths and such possible. Quickly. Game over, your virus won, everyone dies.

If you can see the parallels, it's a bit creepy isn't it? That being said, I do think people perhaps need to in general start being able to rethink their life a bit. I was laughed at before when i said civilian hazmat suits would maybe become normalized...

They should stop reporting new variants to the public. It's useful for epidemiologists tracking the spread and for the development of new vaccines but the general public doesn't need to worry about that.
Take TB as an example, there's lots of variants but they don't keep reporting them.

It has already been demonstrated that there are people who will fall for anything they hear on the news. Those behind the sham kept it going by bringing up one variant after another in order to continue the push for vaccines and boosters. I think they've just about come to the end of the line. Too many people are seeing through the charade and resistance is reaching a critical point.

I wouldn't relax too much just yet. I know of several people in hospital with covid, lungs damaged, not likely to recover.

The other 7 people I know who were covid positive recently (positive tests) and had the vaccine and some with boosters, recovered although were moderate to quite sick a few days.

It's likely a chinese manufactured biological weapon that mutates it's way out of importance.

Why do they even call them vaccines? The polio vaccine stopped us from getting polio. That what real vaccines do! These so-called vaccines for COVID aren't even vaccines - they are just shots - like the flu shot is a shot, not a vaccine. Why don't they call it like it is?

Yeah, it's just a slight variation. Though still close enough to the original that it doesn't deserve a classification of it's own.

Seems covid has a strange pattern in that it becomes more milder the more transmissible it gets. Whereas it's lower transmissible variants are much "stronger".

Never ending variants. I have already told GAG antivaxers to wait until there is a variant that spreads faster than Omicron and is much more deadly than Delta. That also is not age related. It will hit young people as as much as older people.

Yep it was on Sky News earlier Paris. Only it is up to 426 confirmed cases now. Ironic when you consider both Boris Johnson has Covid now as well as his baby, and restrictions are due to be lifted in a few days.

Of course you are going to have variants. It happens every year. The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes COVID-19 is not the first coronavirus. Coronaviruses have been around for... well, forever. Lots of common colds are from coronaviruses (or rhinoviruses). Influenza, aka "The Flu" is caused by influenza viruses and there are new ones ever year which is why you get a flu vaccination aka a flu shot... every year.

This is getting out of hand. I'm pretty sure the regular flu mutates and varieties several times during the flu season too. I guess covid killed the flu off though, because I haven't heard of a flu diagnosis.

Like the regular flu that goes around yearly, Covid variants will do the same. It is a Corona Virus. Regular colds all the way to very serious respiratory infections can be Corona Viruses. This years flu is not the same as last years.
