Lack of empathy, mostly. How else would feminist complaints about "oppression" ever be taken seriously? Individuals can be crazy, biased, or brainwashed enough to believe them, but for a whole society to accept it requires something much deeper. And we have it: a genetic predisposition to treat our men as disposable. Anyone is capable of retraining their mind to not ignore someone's suffering because of their gender; few can be bothered to.

Sadly, it's not something that can be done with a superhuman burst of effort and finished; it involves frequent examination of your instinctive reactions to things, and questioning why you feel differently about them as genders and ages and whatnot change.

That would imply that we don't live in a patriarchy (as defined by feminists anyway), as if we did, men wouldn't be subjected to that kind of treatment. They'd be lying in bed all day eating food by the woman he chained to his stove, because that's a thing that men do apparently.

Don't let isolated cases cloud your judgement. There are many women out there who go to the police, with a black eye and a broken rib and they will do nothing because " not eneough evidences." This is a fact. In 2019 in my country alone, 22 women were killed in the first three months of the year by their husbands. Most of them had already reported the abuse, more than once, and nothing was done.

Both genders have a hard time to be taken seriously in cases of domestic violence. But here is the difference.
- Men are indeed more likely to not be taken seriously.
- Women suffer domestic violence far more. And the number of actual deaths due to it is not even close.
