Do you believe the Earth is Flat? Would you do research on it?

Question

I heard about how the Moonlanding was fake, and it’s the reason they didn’t go back. Also I heard the temperatures are way too hot to tolerate beyond the satellite point. Then I heard about how all the Earth Pictures we see are all fakes and that it’s impossible to take a picture of earth because no one can go past the Satellite area…? But my question is, is it worth looking into all this, or is it just better and safer for everyone to just no question and stay asleep?

There is a difference between being sceptical and conspiratorial. There are many obvious ways we know the earth is round, line-of-sight radio monitoring (as has been stated), the Coriolis Effect as well as many people who have sailed or flown around the globe.

With the moon landings, there are a great many things that would have been needed to correctly fake the images seen which just wouldn't have been feasible at the time. The main one being the shadows in the photographs, the angles just aren't possible with natural light on earth or with standard artificial lights available at the time. Independent visual effects agents have confirmed that to get those shadows would have required a bank of high powered laser lights, which at the time were still in development and would have cost more than the budget for the moon landing itself. There's also the reflective pads that have been left on the moon that observatories regularly use to calibrate their equipment. Not to mention the sheer number of people who would need to have been bribed to keep quiet, including the Russians who independently verified the moon landings... in the middle of the Cold War. You really think the Russians wouldn't have blown open the whole fakery given the chance at the time.

Curiosity and Scepticism are good things, but conspiracies are a form of paranoia where you reject anything anyone else tells you that. As Bakunin said, "In the matter of boots, I refer to the authority of the bootmaker"

I have researched a lot in this and I can confidently say that Earth isn't flat. Because it is was flat then the molten lava won't have been rotating inside and if it stops rotating then there will be no such things as gravitational pull on earth and life won't have existed. Why will they even lie about this? If it was a lie by NASA then other space organisation like ISRO and all would have proven them wrong so that they could gain popularity and money. There are many other factors which says that Earth isn't flat but the one I mentioned is the most simple one which I hope most can understand.

The main reason America went to the moon was to show russia that they could. Had the landings been faked russia would have spotted it by now and had a field day.
American has had 6 manned missions to the moon to date.
As for flat earth, we've known it's a sphere for thousands of years simply because we can see further by standing higher. Even if you ignore science and take the religious view you'll find many old paintings and maps that show the earth as a globe.

The earth is decidedly round. It has been proven in a hundred different ways, and any attempt at explaining how it could be flat has been disproven, even by other flat earthers, all their ideas are in conflict with each other, one flat earth conspiracy contradicts another, the only model that doesn't contradict itself anywhere is the round earth one, again, the one we've known for literally thousands of years. You don't need to do research, the research has been done for you already by some of the greatest minds of all time. The experiments are also very easy to recreate, call a friend from a different time zone and put up a 30cm wooden ruler, measure the shadows directions and length. Are they different lengths? That only happens with a round plane. Flat earthers say actually that is because the sun is close and not far, except then they can't explain lunar eclipses, nor can they explain why the sun doesn't change in size from sun rise to sun set, or how it sets at all, see how one of their explanations ruins the other ones? The round earth explains all of those phenomena. It's a closed case. All figured out... Don't waste your brain energy on this shit. Move on, don't let the conspiracies rot your brain and waste your life.

Well if the world was flat we would be squished like a pancake on the surface from just sheer gravity and colliding with the ocean coming back from outer space even with a parashoot would be physics wise an apsolute shit show.

Not to mention if earth was flat most areas near ocean beaches would be apsolutely ROASTING hot even with our current atmosphere. We are talking like burned skin just walking outside simply cause of sun basic sun exposure. The whole idea of a spherical planet is that the light rays would flex around the spherical shape. The basic concept of a flat planet would not only make the idea of an ozone layer just about impossible. But fundamentally would mean that polar ice caps shouldn't exist period. Not to mention a flat planet wouldn't spin. Let that sink in for a moment if earth was flat one side of the earth would be in perpetual DARKNESS FOREVER. And thats not even getting to the factual fact there is no edge to endless bottom.

Even if we did conceptually made earth flat the number of issues we would have would be mind bendingly bad. The idea we orbit around the sun would be proven false if we applied the idea of earth is flat. Cause the gravitational pulls between the sun and moon would probably have us in a constant state of tsunami's and hurricanes if earth was flat. XD. The basic laws of gravity would be so great on a flat earth the basic idea of standing up would be next to impossible. Not to mention the violent equilibrium shifts the moon would have on every living organism that has water in it.

And to further set the point home about why a flat earth doesn't make sense if the earth is flat POLES technically shouldn't exist on a flat earth. If the earth is flat when you reach the edge you should be able to jump off the edge of the planet and fall into space if the earth is "flat" >.> let that sink in for a moment.

I think i have better things to invest my time and money on for researching. Proofs for above mentioned are already present and chances of their credibility of not being legit are pretty slim but I'd take that.
Like if earth is flat then day-night cycles would never exist.
If going to moon was impossible then how tf can we have mars rover and horizon telescope which have traveled beyond the scope of moon.
Temperatures are beyond tolerable? ever been in a space suit? just read about how they're built to withstand that sort of temperatures and study that materials anatomy then you will either end up understanding it or would once again question the sources providing that information.

The main problem is that we tend to ignore already existing facts just coz someone on the internet questioned their credibility without any knowledge and has nothing factual but some interesting points. Maybe research on the conspiracy theorist's background i guess.

To scientific proof or debunk it is usual the what if question...

If earth would be flat, gravity would be variable and come from the side if you are at the edge... plus if you stand in the center, the gravity would probably break your bones bc it's like 4x normal gravity

There would be day/light for the whole world instead always only half...
And the seasons would change every few hours since bc the theory says that the sun is moving

Buy/sell stuff from/in America with China would be way more expensive when there is no connection between Chinese sea and west coast... imagine pearl Harbour if they had to go pass africa from the other side

And last but not least, if, then we should have found tons of flat objects in the sky... mankind cataloged millions, none of them is flat

Sidenote, it's true that most maps aren't accurate... but out of other reasons... the usual world map counts in the population and the technological state... which was an American idea...
also every country on the planet uses a map where the country itself is in the middle which puts the edges left/right to different locations... sometimes even pointing at their biggest enemy/competitor
The International space station can be seen with a usual binocular above your head every 90-93 minutes... there is even a free tracking app for hobby photography... got it twice in front of the moon...

It's like climate change... there is no believe in it or not... that question just doesn't come up if you understand it in the first place

You can make up literally any conspiracy about literally anything. It's super easy, and you'll develop a following simply enough because most people probably know fuckall about the topic, are too lazy to get educated in the background, and then act like super smart because they are "going against the curve".

So when anyone tells me the earth is flat, the moon landing was faked, climate change isn't real, Covid is a conspiracy to force the population into sumbission, or the whole thing was created using 5g towers, I know I'm dealing with someone who is mentally impaired.

If you can't do math then don't research. You will just go crazy.

If you can then simply assuming everything is wrong except math and go prove or disprove it not by looking at the pictures but by math.

Here is the proof. If the earth has a slope. If it's flat the slope is 0. If it's not 0 then it's not flat. Then they will be a difference in shadow length of a stick on the ground depending on where you are. Calculate the differences and figure out the slope.

If what you’re saying is correct, though, we can already see satellites orbiting the earth completing several revolutions per day. If what you’re saying is correct, then we could see what’s “underneath” the flat earth. But it also wouldn’t make sense that we have daylight on one side of the earth and night on the other. Also, seasons would not make any sense because how would the flat earth wouldn’t tilt so that we have two solstices per year?

If the earth wasn't round then one side wouldn't have midnight summer while other one is in darkness and the northern star wouldn't be visible only on the northern side and you wouldn't be able to see the higher parts of a ship/mountain beyond horizon.
This is lower school level stuff.

SEE that slight bulge above the center of the ruler? THAT is the visible curvature of the Earth.

People who believe in flat earth do so based on amateur opinions that don't consider the big picture and a series of models that work independently but contradict each other. The main reason the say the world is flat is because they think it is and can't provide any hard evidence.

The earth is not flat. I worked for a company that sold wireless solutions. These devices worked in a line of sight fashion. The microwaves were broadcast in a straight line. They had a really long range but longer distances required a taller antenna to compensate for the curvature of the earth.
