Earth is slightly oblong. If it weren’t, cell companies wouldn’t have to build multiple towers to deal with line of sight problems. Ships and vehicles couldn’t disappear over a horizon. The Coriollis effect wouldn’t exist. Which means gyres and hadley cells wouldn’t exist. Which means trade winds wouldn’t exist. The round trips for planes that travel over half the hemisphere around the world would be up to twice as long because they’d have to backtrack. High and low tide wouldn’t work correctly. Obviously satellite imagery. There would be no terminator line. Daylight savings time and things like the sun never shining for months in the polar regions wouldn’t happen. There would be no temperature profile of climates by latitude. The atmosphere of a flat Earth would have been stripped long ago. You can see the shape of the Earth on a lunar eclipse.

If the Earth was not round you would have no horizon and things 500 miles away would still be visible, with a telescope anyway. Also, where would volcanic eruptions come from? A flat earth would not have an inner hot core.

@strateguy632 Nope, a requirement for life is a sphere for it to rest on. There are flat land masses floating through space exactly as flat Earthers describe. They’re called asteroids. They come in all shapes and sizes. And they are predominantly lifeless.

@strateguy632 Nope, the eclipse shows a rounded edge on both sides. Not flat, not irregular, round. The Earth is round. You don’t need any fancy technology to witness it for yourself the next time it happens.

Tbh... I've never done any research of my own. I can tell you one thing but it has nothing to do with my actual personal knowledge and findings.

Only reason I say that is because most people don't actually do any research. I know flat earth people (some) do research and so I keep an open mind but I wouldn't bet on them. I don't know what the earth is. I can tell you who I trust due to being programmed to trust them but I don't know really know anything myself

Looking at pictures of Earth and flying you can tell that the Earth is not flat. One less have a strong faith and work the faith into knowledge. Scene nautical maps and Ariel maps. And seeing photos from satellites to Earth it proves that the Earth is round.

I grew up with flat earther parents. We didn't have Internet for some of or teen years. And we weren't allowed to attend science classes when they talked about space etc.

now as an adult I know this is very untrue.

you can easily check it when swimming. the curvature will actually hide any ships that are far away, so by placing your eye at sea level, you get a different picture than by standing up
