I will give a benefit of a doubt and say no. I believe the general notion before it became riddled with toxic minded guys and became a misogynist swamp is that they wanted to push excellence on men in the terms of having a purpose and direction in life with passions.

My understanding was that the goal was that men who decided to focus on that and mentorship over women could go there to share experiences in terms of life and how their dating life and experiences went. Not to hate women, but understand that there is more to life than having them or needing them to be happy. Similar to red pill content in that degree.

I think it just became a breeding ground filled with toxic men and their original message and goal is no longer at the forefront, just swallowed by negativity and toxicity.

No, although some of them do hate women. The male equivalent of feminism would be inceldom. And yes, I know, not all incels hate women, but the political left has smeared the term so much, that women-hating is now what people think of when you mention Incels. But MGTOW, at least to those who actually subscribe to it, would be not focusing on women at all. The name is "Men Going Their Own Way."

In the so-called Manosphere, there is a lot of crossover of Redpillers (those cynical about society and modern relationships), Incels (sexually frustrated male virgins), and MGTOW. They're not the same however, although yes, many MGTOW-in-name-only do spend way too much whining about women. And yes, THOSE guys suck.

But in short, The Incel Movement would be *most* (but not entirely) synonymous with woman-hating. In theory at least, MGTOW would be synonymous with celibate stoicism and most actual MGTOW men you'd never know were MGTOW, because they don't actually talk about it.

MGTOW do not hate women they just do not wish to have a close personal relationship at this particular moment this is not set in stone it depends if they meet someone they feel they are compatible with, all these men have done is performed a risk/benefit analysis and decided that marriage/family life is not for them.

True some but not the majority of the men in MGTOW have had bad experiences through divorce and the family court. These are the vocal ones that everyone assumes represents all MGTOW.

Women think that MGTOW is one homogeneous movement, it isn’t, each man goes off on his own track they are all individuals responsible for themselves and no one else, this is why women have a problem dealing with it as there is no one target to aim at so they try to smear anyone who identifies as MGTOW, that is why the men who have gone MGTOW follow the 'Fight Club' rules and don't talk about it with anyone they don't know.

Women cannot grasp that men have performed a risk/benefit analysis and decided that marriage/family life is not for them. They see that everything in society is slanted against them and they have virtually no protections under law as far as marriage/relationships are concerned and they see the only winning move is not to play the game any more.

Men are going their own way because even though women have disregarded everything feminine and traditional about themselves they still expect men to adhere to all his traditional masculine roles in return. The ladies don’t bring very much to the table these days.

i had not even heard of it until last year when I joined GaG, my first encounters with it was just a bunch of guys moaning like fuck.

while answering a question on MGTOW earlier, someone had put a You Tube up on it, I made this mistake of watching some boring guy with a beard drinking coffee going on about Government and politics, government was I think mentioned more times than women.

As a Brit it threw me on what politics has to do with dating or just being nice with women.

With any movement, you get fanatics and extremists, I think this is a prime example of social medial giving extremists more voice than they would normally have.

Hate? No! Frustration? Maybe. Both genders can get frustrated by the other over time. MGTOW is just the otherwise of the feminism coin. Women got tired of ASKING for equality and not getting it so Feminism was born. Well men got tired of asking for women to fulfill their needs and not getting so MGTOW was born. Some erroneously look at MGTOW as just angry men. But that's simply because they don't want to even try to understand it. In actuality it's men who've just decided to move on from women. They've decided to take what they need and discard the rest. Be angry with it but MGTOW much like Feminism isn't going away. Lol

Every movement these days has a very focused and one sided approach to things and average people all together for the large part have remained in the silent majority on these matters. So men in general and more specifically white males are tired of being marginalized by feminists and racists. Like women can't be sexist and minorities can't be equally racist. Men are just tired of being blamed for everything.

I think the nature of the movement naturally attracts hateful men. But I've spoken to a few who were not hateful, just had what I consider to be flawed perspectives of the compatability between men and women. But as I just said, I'm sure plenty of hateful men are joining it whether the decent ones like it or not (just like what happened to the feminist movement).
