Makes you wonder how someone becomes so twisted and insane. And what's scary is that people take him seriously.

I don't think this clip actually explains his view.
But this is fact.
European cultures and "Whiteness" are two different things. I keep trying to explain this to my friends as I have traveled the European peninsula extensively. That's why so many folks in America don't understand the conflict in Ukraine. They don't see the huge cultural differences between Ukrainians and Russians. They only see the silliness of America's obsession with race.
So as Europeans come to the United States they get integrated into the "White" identity at varying rates and varying levels. Again this is fact. There are whole documentaries on the Italian and Irish experience of being discriminated against and having those restrictions lifted over time.
As for your obsession with CRT nothing that you posted has anything to do with Critical Race Theory. Which is a discipline studying the ways in which the legal/political systems of this nation were used to enforce discrimination.
But all of this is expected from you, since you don't even know your own "White" American history. The American Public School system is trash.
No. Race is a lie. I was born a certain skin color and I choose to be African-American. You were born a certain skin color and choose to be "White" American.
And that is because of the history and culture we choose to honor and remember.
Otherwise you would not accuse other races of having different behaviors and beliefs. Figure it out. Your beliefs don't even pass a basic logic test.
People do not learn through their skin. They learn by being taught. And everything you believe, you were taught, you learned. . . then accepted.
Period.
@Juxtapose What RC's saying is that "whiteness" is racism. He wants to dance around with word salad, but this is where the leftists have been heading for a while. We're at the point in this clown show where white=racist.
@Juxtapose This is what the National Museum of African American History and Culture calls “whiteness”. And most every one of its critiques sound like they would create a fantastic society.
i.imgur.com/cVN3RdE_d.webp
Rachel Dolezal chose to be African American. So I guess anything is possible.
@joeldalton I don't know anyone who says "Whiteness" is racism. But "Whiteness" is problematic. Because all of you "White" supremacists don't even understand your own culture. You think your culture, your way of life, your view of history, etc. are all normal. So you don't name it as a cultural bias. There isn't a single non-"White" group. . . INCLUDING THE ONES YOU TRY TO CLAIM IN THE NUTTY FRUITTY THEORY OF RACE, that does that.
Ukrainians know they have a cultural bias, a specific history, etc. So do the Russians, the French, the British, etc.
But if you ask many "White" Americans what makes them "White", they say only their skin color, then weirdly some will lecture you on the negative beliefs and behaviors they claim define other groups that they do not consider to be "White".
The only group that is "White" and proudly defines "Whiteness" as a belief system are "White" supremacists. Because we as a society we have failed to define the "White" American experience one that is diverse and has common ground with every other American identity.

Own your own racist shit. If you don't accept mixed folks as being "White" blame yourself and the culture that taught you that nonsense. You don't have to disown Blake Griffin.
You choose to disown Blake Griffin.

Blake Griffin Recalls Experiencing "Super F--ked Up" Racism in High School
"There's situations that my brother and I look back [at] now and we're like, 'Oh wow. That was racist.'" Blake Griffin told Dax Shepard during a recent episode of Armchair Expert.
@RolandCuthbert anyone who uses the term 'problamatic' unironically is a clown and can be dismissed.
@joeldalton Dude, you are a cowardly anonymous troll on the net. You can't dismiss a damn thing.
Haha!!!
@RolandCuthbert And you're projecting again.
@joeldalton Y'all all retreat to the same nonsense.
I don't think you guys know what "projecting" means.
@RolandCuthbert I just love how you throw around bullshit like "white people don't have a culture" and then claim to not be racist. 🤡
You're all arguing with emotion instead of facts.
@RolandCuthbert To be fair, my Dolezal example was more satire than anything else. Geopolitically, we are all the same and equal. However I do have a serious and logical example:
Medically, we are all different, with race and ethnicity being big reasons. I can prove this argument.
I can use myself as the first example. Me, my Mom, and my cousin all have "Mediterranean Anemia". It's a mild form of Thalassemia. Other members on my Mom's side of the family have this as well. It doesn't negatively affect any of our everyday lives, but it does makes it a crap shoot when I try to donate my otherwise healthy O+ blood. Sometimes my blood numbers come back in the donation range, other times they're just below the cutoff line. I can't "choose" to no longer be of Mediterranean descent, and non-Mediterranean people are far less likely to have this trait.
Another example is that women of African descent are more likely to experience complications during childbirth. Before you cite money as an excuse, it happened to Serena Williams and Beyonce Knowles. They were very open about their childbirth experiences.
There are many other medical examples that I can cite, but I believe that I made my point.
These differences that we all may have as individuals come from our history based on race and/or ethnicity, and are accepted in the medical community. Otherwise, why would doctors say, "If you're X, you're more likely to develop Y." Or be susceptible to Z. Etcetera.
So being different just means we're not the same. Being different doesn't mean that we're not equal.
@NYCQuestions1976
Well now, I am going to mock you because your argument is actually the one based upon emotion, superstition and fantasy.
And I am going to mock you in every single post, because people have to finally see nothing was rational about the concept of "race".
1. It is so funny in your first example you use a group identity called "Mediterranean" as though there is some societal concern in America for this grouping. Race is the concept Americans obsess over. No one cares about this grouping. I haven't meet a single racist telling me about the Master "Mediterranean" race. Now on the genetic front, let's give you the benefit of the doubt. Let's say a genetic grouping for Mediterraneans exist. Did you think my post was about genetic groups and differences? No sir. Genetic groups actually exist. They are not called races. They are called "clades".
This just proves your methods are irrational, unscientific, and illogical. Genetics grouping exist. They do not correspond to the racist notion/concept of race.
2. Women of African descent are more likely to experience issues in childbirth? Due to what? A shared genetic disorder? Sir, African-American women are like African-American men. 25-35% of the African-American genome is European on average. African women don't have much European DNA. That is kind of a significant difference between Africans and African-Americans, don't ya think? Now Serena said the issues with her childbirth was the medical care. It is funny that you forget to mention that.
But let me help you.
www.vox.com/.../serena-williams-childbirth-scare-black-women
Serena said the hospital ignored her concerned about breathing issues on the day of her child's birth. Had she not been Serena Williams, she may not have survived.
What I don't understand about racism is this. So many beliefs about "Black" folks are not grounded in science, but on a certain type of superstition. "Black" women can stand more pain than "White" women. "Black" kids are more sexually active, etc. All of these superstitions while "logical" to some folks have nothing to do with fact or logic. Yet they insist this nonsense should be real, with no medical study or fact on their side. Leading to significant negative outcomes for non-"Whites".
It is just amazing.
So I am not disputing racism in medicine. But to pretend that race is some statement of genetic differences is probably about 40 years out of date. Especially since when it comes to genetics. . . the supposed "Black" race in Africa has the greatest genetic disparity on earth.
That's right. Winnie Mandela, while genetically different than you, probably had more genetic common ground with you than her own husband, Nelson Mandela.
I mean, that's why we think Humanity was born in Africa. Because in order to have that kind of genetic diversity humans would have to have lived in that area a very long time. We don't see diversity of that kind anywhere else on this planet.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2953791/
This what is known as scientific fact.
Not emotion.
@joeldalton So this is your problem. You are actually too dumb to be in this conversation.
1. Every single human being on this planet has "culture".
2. It is the insane fruitcake nonsensical racists like you who claim "White" people have no culture. You claim it is just a group defined by the color of their skin. Which everyone should know by now is a lie.
3. I never claimed race existed and I never will. A people's behavior is not determined by their skin color. It isn't even determined by their genetics. It is determined by their culture. The reason why you are an insane fruitcake racist is not because of your genes. It is not because of your skin color, but because of the insane, irrational, illogical beliefs you were taught and that you embrace.
Period.
@RolandCuthbert bahahahahaha. Guess what, when a clown calls me racist it just shows me what a dope you are. You’re not a serious person.
@RolandCuthbert The hospital staff ignoring Williams' complaints are completely on them. However they didn't create the condition that caused her problem during childbirth.
I'll try these two points, and then just agree to disagree. Since you believe race is a choice and/or non-existent, let's you and I "choose" to be Asian starting tomorrow. Will that change either of our health and medical lineage and outlook? Of course not, because we're not really Asian.
Or, if your doctor tells you that you're more likely to suffer from X because you're of African descent, are you going to argue with him/her, claiming that you're not actually of African descent, rather you're "choosing" to be called of African descent, therefore there's no added health risk to you statistically?
Yeah honestly, I don’t see the huge cultural differences between Ukraine and Russia and neither does any Ukrainian I know. It started out as GO 🇺🇦!!! But know I hear the same people say, “it’s complicated”. I’m 60% white all of that being English and a little Scandinavian. I’ve heard the term PIGS and people know WASPs as well. What is your ethnic and national origin?
@joeldalton Child, a racist believes in race and in racial supremacy.
Game, set. . . match.
WHAT? I’m sorry but being African-American is not a choice, it is a social-national-ethnic group that you are BORN into. Where were you born? I thought you’re from Africa? Ethiopian-American, Nigerian-American, is different from African-American. If you don’t know this you just sound like a FOB
@NYCQuestions1976 That's not the point. The point is that when you have racism in medicine you ignore the complaints and concerns of a patient in favor of superstitions beliefs in race. As I just illustrated. My ex and I went through something similar when she kept hemorrhaging. The doctor just dismissed it as some issue with her emotions or whatever. Until one day when she felt dizzy after we went to the movies. I took her to the emergency room, they found her blood count had dropped to 6.
Now you are just being ridiculous. You choose to accept Blake Griffin as being "White" or not. You choose to accept or reject Jesse Williams, Mariah Carey, Halle Berry, Nicole Richie, and thousands if not hundreds of thousands of folks who have "complicated" identities. To pretend you do not consciously or unconsciously make these choices is not even being logical. On the flip side, try telling a Dominican that he is "Black". There is one right here in forum. Try navigating to his thread or better yet start your own with a declaration that Dominicans are "Black".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Faqt0c-sDpo
I can't help that you actually think race matters outside of a particular subset of American society that you were raised in. That takes you having the courage to travel and meet folks who have different identities and are members of cultures much different than your own.
You put up a hilarious hypothetical based on emotion and a total lack of logical perspective.
If being Asian mattered so much to the "Asians" outside of America, why is there no Asian unity? China would wipe Japan from the map with every other nation country, if the US had no alliances in the Pacific. There are ethnic issues even within Asian nations. Resulting in genocide and discrimination/bigotry, etc. Even in Russia, the Asian looking indigenous folks do not identify as being "Asian".
They are Russian. And in terms of ethnic identity, they are called Siberians.
I don't expect you to understand, you have never been to Russia. You have never met them or interacted with them.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI9BIVBVfXs
@RolandCuthbert ok, clown.
Ah. . . Russian videos are being blocked. Let me show you some photos of the supposed Asian "race" in Russia. Surely, you can explain why Race doesn't assign them some different identity and a distinct commonality with other Asians.

And a doctor who does not diagnose you based upon real genetic issues is not a doctor. He might as well just be using voo-doo dolls and potions in terms of treating you. I had a client who received a kidney transplant from a Jewish man. Because he had Jewish ethnic roots in his background. But you would classify him as a member of the "Black" race. And had you been his doctor, he would have never known that he could be compatible with someone from the mythical Jewish race.
@Justerino Well, it is really hard to understand why folks who believe in race think they are being logical. When Russians are literally committing genocide right now in Ukraine. And how Ukrainians will fight to the last man. . . simply over the preservation of their culture.
Remember, there aren't any real genetic or physical differences between Russians and Ukrainians. From our perspective, they speak a similar language, if not the same. Their traditions are similar if not the same.
But having been to both Ukraine and Russia. . . I know that their cultural lens reveals stark differences. A raciologist can't see that. Because raciologists are taught to look for physical differences, then use those physical differences to explain differences in beliefs and behaviors. In almost every other place on this planet it is the opposite.
You meet people and learn about their beliefs/behaviors. Then you decide whether or not you have common ground with them.
In Eastern Europe, people actually wondered how I could identify as being "Black". Since their only exposure to the term came with meeting African students studying abroad.
@joeldalton All you are is just a troll slinging feces on the net.
That statement describes your entire identity.
Clown.
@RolandCuthbert yawn. Ok racist.
@joeldalton haha! Nothing makes me sadder than an insane fruitcake "White" supremacist calling me racist.
Is that why you guys hide out on the internet nowadays? You trade an anonymous GaG account for bedsheets?
@RolandCuthbert you’re really a silly clown. Quite amusing.
@joeldalton I know you are enjoying yourself posting with your pants down around your ankles.
Don't use your socks this time. Napkins are more hygenic!
@RolandCuthbert weird you’re thinking about my penis right now.
@RolandCuthbert The inappropriate behavior of the medical staff towards Williams and your ex-wife didn't create the conditions that caused their problems. It delayed their treatments. Different argument.
Dominican, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian are nationalities, and Nicole Richie is adopted, but whatever.
Health risk factors and statistics based on genetic history, race, and ethnicity, and transplant compatibility between two patients, are two different things.
As I promised, we'll agree to disagree. To show you that I'm always a good sport, I'll even try this your way. I've read many medical reports over the years that Caucasians are more likely to develop skin cancer because they have less of the pigment melanin. So this Summer I'll just "choose" to be of African descent between Memorial Day and Labor Day instead of wearing sunscreen. I wish we would've had this conversation much sooner, because sunscreen is expensive.
@NYCQuestions1976 Not listening to Williams about her own condition did not cause her issues? I mean, that isn't even a rational thought.
You are doctor, instead of checking a patient's history, you look at her race and diagnose her from that. But that is not insane or crazy?
I mean, this is your point. That race matters in medicine. Not common sense, rational thought and logical things like genetics, patient history, condition, etc.
Perhaps you can explain how raciology saved Serena's life or. . . I dunno what your point is actually.
Right Nicole Riche is adopted. So again, is she "White" or "Black"?
Its like your brain is unable wrap its head around this simple concepts.
I know Nicole's story. You have pretended that some "White" family sired her and the Richie's adopted her. Why would you allude to something so ignorant? How is this logical or rational?
It is a simple issue of acceptance. The groups that accept her, accept her. The groups that can't, don't.
No one is going to come in with some racist measuring cup to figure out objectively how she should be classified. She does not accept that she is a 1/3 this, 1/4 that, and 1/8 this other thing.
She is "Black". She is Latin and she is "White". From her own perspective.
As for your flippant comment at the end, it just shows that you simply do not understand science, genetics or the concept of race. Which oddly is your point. That all people on this planet accept that they are racially defined.
You claim, you are "Caucasian" based on your skin color alone. That somehow that represents some great genetic common ground. And the thing that is scary, is that you your friends in this thread, claim that common ground extends to behaviors and beliefs.
That is not science or logic.
That is superstitious nonsense.
People learn behaviors. People learn beliefs. They do not learn skin colors. They are born to a skin color. Mariah Carey's skin is as white as your own.
Yet, she is accepted as being a "Black" woman. No one says her skin color is the color black. Actually that doesn't exist anyway. We are brown.
And that acceptance by African-Americans is not on the basis of skin color. It is on the basis of the culture she claims. If you were born among African-Americans. If you accepted African-American Culture, you would be accepted too.
That is simple rational fact.
In her own words, "I am the most misunderstood "Black" woman in America".
To pretend you have any care, love, or concern over African-American Culture is simply being disingenuous. You are not even being serious any longer.
@RolandCuthbert Sir, it is about your bloodline, your history, the story of your ancestors and how you came to be. “Well, it is really hard to understand why folks who believe in race think they are being logical. When Russians are literally committing genocide right now in Ukraine.” I’m not following your logic here either, sorry? How does one Slavic country invading another have anything to do with disproving racial theory? Black people kill other black people all the time, white people fought 2 world wars against eachother. I’ve never asked someone their race but many times their ethnic heritage. And, it seems you’ve been avoiding this question. My bad if you’re born here bro sounded like you from Africa or sum.
@Justerino Well, again, race is supposed to be about group identity. Why don't the slavics just accept they are one people. . . you know. . . one race. And be friends?
This is your point. Not mine.
As for my own identity, sir. . . when I do my genetic testing, I am pretty certain I will have a significant percentage of European DNA. There will probably be some American Indian and other identities thrown in.
But I am "Black". Because I was raised in the culture of the Africans brought to this nation as slaves.
I mean how many ways can I prove that race is a lie?
Should I quote the largest scientific organization in the field of human anthropology? How many peer-reviewed studies and research papers should I quote? How many opinions of geneticists must I find?
But just looking at your post, it seems like you haven't really thought about what you believe. I am disputing race. Why would I dispute something so rational as ethnic identity?
I have spent years in Eastern Europe. I know all about ethnic identity.
WTF?
Yeah, thought I had a significant portion of Native DNA too, from both sides. I had %1> But you could for sure. I never said people should be friends because they are the same race. And, obviously race is a subjective, human construct - it is clear by the definition of the word. I do get one thing you said, maybe you didn’t emphasize this, but if you’re technically “mixed-race” just classified as black by white Americans and probably Europeans as well, no? And, I thought Asians and Europeans were mixed with other primates besides Homo Sapiens? Not saying this makes them a different race, but now the term is commonly in use and convenient.
N India vs S India, N Egypt vs S Egypt, to me those are different races, as the word is defined. Hutus and Tutsi: more of an ethnic group, but I heard one may think they have Arab blood too. But again, this is my point of view, race by its definition is subjective.
Also, apologize for mistaking you for an immigrant. My bad bro!!!
"Own your own racist shit. If you don't accept mixed folks as being "White" blame yourself and the culture that taught you that nonsense. You don't have to disown Blake Griffin.
You choose to disown Blake Griffin."
I don't even know who the fuck he is dude and you're saying I chose to disown him. Why do you keep putting words in my mouth?
@Justerino Well, I just want to be clear.
Because you are totally misreading my words.
You said, you may have significant American Indian DNA.
So my words were as follows, I may have significant European DNA. I am sure your friends in this thread would never accept me being "White". Even if the percentage is 30% or higher. Acknowledge that first. Now don't get it twisted. I could go to Europe, and Europeans may accept me if I prove Irish, British or French DNA. Because their definition of themselves is more flexible. They understand themselves as being members of a culture. "Whiteness" is about the insane nonsense of race.
Then onto the American Indian identity. Now again, I may have some. You claim a lot, I don't understand how either of these claims matter much. My point was that just because I do have "some" doesn't make me an American Indian, because;
1. I was never raised to be an American Indian.
2. I have never identified as being one.
3. I was never taught any American Indian language.
4. My parents didn't even identify as American Indians.
5. And even my grandmother who could have, since she was half Cherokee, did not identify as one. She grew up and was raised to be "Black".
So I am not claiming that identity, even as I have been urged to do so by Cherokee Indians. If you are, then that is on you and the organization you will petition for entry into that particular culture.
So I just wanted to get that part understood. Please acknowledge that.
@RolandCuthbert You're trying to turn a discussion on how racial and ethnic origins of an individual can affect a person's medical outlook into a political argument on race relations and lifestyle choices, as if the different areas of the planet an individual's ancestors originated from has absolutely no bearing on that person's medical history and statistical health risks. That's straight-up illogical, disingenuous, and denying reality.
So I guess you're going to question the CDC now? The barrons of pandemic mandates?
www.cdc.gov/.../risk_factors.htm
Also, all these people you keep bringing up: When they see their doctors, do you think they give their entire known historical backgrounds, or just how they "choose" to "identify"?
If there were really no human "races", and there was no medical differences between human races, then Measles and Small Pox would have never annihilated Native Americans the way they did, or the Europeans and Africans that arrived in the Americas would have died off the same way from being exposed to any of the diseases from Native Americans that were new to them.
Same thing here, thought I had significant Cherokee and Choctaw blood but my ancestry. com results came back with <1% Native DNA
And, if you are as dark as Obama (his mom is 100% white) I guarantee you will always be a black American to them. My grandma is from England bro. She don’t even think her daughter is white. I am another generation removed. I have experienced subtle racism from my own family. Whiteness used to mean you’re pure and you don’t have a drop of another race’s blood, but see more people now who identify as white when they around 3/4 white. If you were told your grandmother was 1/2 Cherokee I can see how this shapes your identity. Growing up I told people I was black, white and native. But, bro, those people are long gone, they were almost completely wiped from history and the face of this Earth. These native people that are left are mostly >75% white by DNA. And I’d just guess your grandmother has a similar insignificant percentage of Native DNA. But everyone’s identity is different. My grandmother identifies as English, its a ethnicity, not British ever once, it is a nationality, she’s American now. I’ve never passed for white EVER, but black people have commented I look the same color as a white girl with a tan. Actual white girls would refer to me as “black”
@Juxtapose Did, you can pretend you don't know who Blake Griffin is. You can pretend you don't know Mariah Carey, Soledad O'Brien, Sofia/Nicole Richie, Halle Berry, etc. are. Don;t expect me to believe that bullshit.
Why are you even faking being rational at this point?
www.teenvogue.com/.../sofia-richie-people-dont-really-know-that-im-black
Sofia Richie is not one to hold back from saying what she feels. The social media star — who was linked to Justin Bieber this August — is on the cover of Complex this month, and she’s using the opportunity to open up about her experiences with racism.
Sofia is the daughter of legendary singer Lionel Richie, who is black. “Some people don’t really know that I’m black,” she said. “I’ve been in situations where people will say something kind of racist, and I’ll step in and they’ll be like, ‘Oh, well, you’re light,’” as if to excuse their racism.
@joeldalton
1. "White" supremacists blame Jews for everything. For their hair falling out. For the giant space lasers starting forest fires. They were chanting "Jews will not replace us in Charlottesville". You guys have the Jewish issue not me.
2. I do not believe race SamIam. I do not believe in race, no matter what you insane freakazoids claim. There is only one race. Human. Every Human Being is a member of one or more cultures. Period. So If Jewish people are a people. They are one based upon culture. Not upon your insane batshit nonsensical theory of race.
Dude, see a psychologist. Because even David Duke is rational in his racist theories. You are just batshit insane.
@RolandCuthbert it takes an exceptional amount of mental illness to create an entirely fictional person to argue against. You should get some help.
@Juxtapose You never heard of the singer Mariah Carey? She's still attractive now, but she was damn hot in the 1990s and 2000s.

@RolandCuthbert Justin Bieber cheated on his wife? OoOoOoO SHIT! 😂
@NYCQuestions1976 oh wow she is cute :o
@joeldalton Nope. All of these words, you have said.
1. You look at a person. And you box them.
2. I look at a person, then talk to them, and acknowledge the box they choose for themselves.
You can keep claiming that is racist. And every time you do, people can plainly see, that not only are you the racist. You are the batshit insane kind of racist.
All three of you keep telling me about what people see and how everyone supposedly uses the same insane racist logic you use. And I keep posting science and facts.
@RolandCuthbert - lol, you're hilarious. You can rest assured I find you to be boring and not very bright based on the content of your character rather than the color of your skin.
You guys are still here? 😂
@RolandCuthbert I'm going to pose a two-part question based on two things you mentioned. After you complete your 23 & Me, will you share the results with your primary care physician? Or will you stay with whatever box you've chosen for yourself?
@NYCQuestions1976 You need to ask that question of yourself.
It is like a form of cognitive dissonance, right?
You claim that race is the primary determining factor for human differences. Again, this is your argument not mine. So you look, you see, and then you box.
I look, I see, and then I talk to the person to get an understanding of the box they choose for themselves
You claim your way tells you everything. It tells you about cultural differences. . . differences in behaviors, and beliefs. It also informs you of genetics, medical diagnosis, and physical abilities.
My claim is that my brief discussion with that person informs me of how they see themselves and how they define their group identity. For me to understand their beliefs/behaviors in a group context, I must understand the identity they claim. For me to understand their genetic issues, groupings, etc. I would have to conduct an actual genetics test. Their medical issues takes even more. As we would have to get an understanding of genetics in context of their family. Like if you were trying to understand possible donors or medical issues that could be inherited.
.
So please stop confusing our positions. I don't know why you keep using this disingenuous form of debate. I never even hinted that people do not have genetic commonality. I told you this again and again.
Genetic groupings do not correspond to race. They never did, and they never will. Race is what you think you see. Genetics is your actual genetic code, genes, etc. And phenotype accounts for a tiny amount of the total number of genes that make up for human genetic groupings.
What is the supposed race of this person?
blog.myheritage.com/.../...12-24-at-3.38.29-AM.png
@RolandCuthbert Caucasian-Saharan-African-Himalayan? Did I win? 🤔
If I was that person, I'd just go with Eastern Hemispherian.
Anyway, I can definitely answer that question for myself. For everyday simplicity in social situations, I usually just say "Irish-Italian" in such conversations. I don't recall the last time I needed to say Caucasian, because I'm so obviously pale. Besides... there's usually no need to bore the average person with more details beyond "Irish-Italian". When others guess, I do get "Jewish" a lot for some reason (I guess the nose/beard?) even though I was raised Catholic. However, digging deeper, my Irish side has a lot of other northern European, and my Italian side has Spaniard blood from one of my great-grandmothers, who was very olive skinned. So logic tells me that I probably have Moorish blood as well (the Moors were in Iberia for 500 years, so I'm sure there was plenty of sexy time happening between everyone). I definitely share all of this known history with my primary care physician, along with recent generational family history. For me to just say "Irish-Italian" in medical situations, I'd be putting myself in such a limited box when it's not applicable. You never know what rare traits you might've inherited from the small percentages that make you up that you don't usually think about during an average everyday moment.
@NYCQuestions1976 That's not a race. There are what. . . four races?
There are thousands of different ethnic groups, cultures, clans, etc. Then beyond that there are dozens of genetic groups that don't even correspond to those.
So now you dig into your own ethnic background. I didn't ask you about your ethnic background. I asked about your "race". I can't see Italian or Mediterranean with my eyes. I can't see Italian, Jewish or Irish. I can see the four colors of race "White", "Black", "Yellow" and "Red".
So you are just being disingenuous. And the funny thing is you claimed your position was fact based.
There are more facts in Greek Mythology.
Race theory is that the world population can be divided into 4 major races, namely white/Caucasian, Mongoloid/Asian, Negroid/Black, and Australoid.
@RolandCuthbert You can't see Italian with your eyes? Clearly you've never been to Bensonhurst. You'll see it, smell it, definitely HEAR it, taste it... and if you dare don't taste it enough, you'll hear it again. 😂😂😂
Anyway, it's not disingenuous at all. What good would I be serving myself if I only told any doctor treating me that I'm simply Caucasian/Caucasian American? I mean there's a reason they ask detailed background questions on medical questionnaires.
If you prefer calling race a theory, that perfectly fine. I learned "electrical theory", but I still know that electricity is very real. The bottom line is that we all come from different areas of the planet. Then each race has ethnicities, etcetera... and it's important to acknowledge these differences about ourselves for medical history purposes. For everyday simplicity? We/you/they/I can put ourselves in whatever box or not box we choose.
@NYCQuestions1976 No, of course not, I can't see an Italian person with my eyes. Sir, I have been to Rome. I don't need Bensonhurst. But let's take a look at how ridiculous this comparison is.
This is Loretta Grace, I guess she is famous in Italy. She is singing the Italian National Anthem. Is she less Italian than you? Is she not Italian at all? Because of your opinion of her race?
www.youtube.com/watch
Bensonhurst is in Brooklyn. You would claim that Italian Americans in Bensonhurst are the same as Italians in Italy. Even as the two cultures are different. But the weird thing is the way you throw race in there.
Because you keep telling me its significance by telling me how people act, how they behave, the accent they have, the language they speak, the foods they eat, etc.
That's some scary stuff, right there.
Because you obviously do not know the difference between race and culture.
You have connected a person's race, to their genetics, then to their behavior, beliefs, language, etc. with no scientific explanation, fact, or rationale.
And no, race is not a theory. A theory would have scientific fact to back it up. You have your opinions on how different people look and what box you want to put them in.
That is superstition.
That is no a theory, scientific or otherwise.
@RolandCuthbert I claimed Bensonhurst is the same as Rome? Apparently you don't believe in satire either, Mr. "Sir, I've Been To Rome". Oh well.
So if race is only a "superstition", does that mean the following should be "Superstition, Class, And Gender" and "Critical Superstition Theory"? 🤔
@NYCQuestions1976 Again with being disingenuous.
Let me make this simple for you.
1. You believe in superstitious nonsense. Your belief system is not based on one single scientific fact. Evidenced by your inability to find any scientific evidence that defines what race is. Your evidence is basically your opinion of who looks like a member of X race. Even as you know different people arrive at different conclusions.
2. Now, you believe in this superstitious nonsense. You refuse to learn anything about genetics. You refuse to even research how human identity works. You compile a nonsensical argument linking race to things it was never meant to explain. Then you get mad because of all the facts I present that disprove it. And in the most disingenuous move ever, you claim it can't exist when I prove it is superstition, even as you believe in this superstition with all your heart and soul.
I didn't force you to believe in race. You choose to believe in it.
3. And as long as superstitious idiots are politicians, judges, police officers, doctors, lawyers, etc. we will be dealing with this as Critical Race Theory. Because most racists like you will tell any lie and engage in almost any disingenuous behavior to keep the superstition alive.
@RolandCuthbert I don't believe that you typed "superstition" and "disingenuous" enough.
Apparently you're just annoyed that I used examples like Rachel Dolezal, Race Class & Gender, Critical Race Theory, and even a person's melanin level and anemia to completely discredit your nonsensical "superstition" position. It's like you consider races and groups of people being different from one another the same as being perceived as unequal, and being the same and being equal are the same thing. Or you falsely believe that these are my points or positions. Either way, it's ridiculous. Of course we're all exactly equal... but do you know how unbearably boring and predictable all our lives would be if we were also all exactly the SAME?
Well, the clock is running down, and it's victory formation time for me. Have a great weekend. 👍
@JusterinoSorry, I missed this post.
I am not following your logic. The only reason why I would care about what other people think is to surmise the impact of their beliefs on my life. If I meet a person on the street who will not listen to how I group identify, I don't really care. Especially if that person is not a police officer, a judge, a client, etc. I would just dismiss them and get on with my life.
As for your family, I don't understand what this is proving about "race". Your family is making choices about what they will accept and what they will not accept. Again, this is a choice. Your grandma can choose to accept your sister. She just chooses not to.
As for Indigenous, you seem to have misconceptions. In my race/culture discussion group, I have several Indigenous members. One is the former Director for the American Indian Movement in Florida. He is 100% Indigenous. His mother was Sioux. His father was Apache. He was schooled in an American Indian boarding school.
You can always contact tribes and organizations about this issue of heritage. They are perfectly willing to sit down and explain it to you. Different tribes have different standards.
It seems the argument is that race exists. . . there just isn't a way to define it. Which means it is not a scientific concept at all.
That's what I have said from the beginning. You can believe in race. But that belief is not based upon fact. It is based upon how you were taught.
@NYCQuestions1976 Well, I certainly plan on typing superstition and disingenuous a few more times. Because I think it is important to show that race is nonsensical. And that the folks who believe in it, don't even bother with consistent rational arguments, even by their own standards.
So let's just examine this example of Rachel Dolezal.
So your point is that because Rachel Dolezal, lied to everyone around her, changed her looks and pretended to have an African/African-American background, that proves that race is real and that race is genetic.
That's how nonsensical your argument is.
I mean, even folks in an insane asylum would think that is just too crazy.
And you keep accusing me of your positions. So let me make it plain to you. There is only one race. It is called human. Period. So now you can lie, scream, scratch and claw. . . your way to the fabrication that says I believe in something different.
I never said we were all equal. That again is just a nonsensical position.
I would say we all should have equal rights, freedoms, and access. But when it comes to gifts, cultures, beliefs, and behaviors, it is idiotic to say we are all the same. Of course, my culture is different than your own. We have studied different histories, we celebrate different holidays, our cultures have different cuisine, that's the magic of humanity.
Learning about those differences.
But you keep telling me that race is the only meaningful thing. You don't have to talk to me and ask me about my life, my beliefs, or my hobbies. You can look at me. . . box me and that's all you need to know,.
You just pack a bunch of racist mythology together and throw it in the faces of different groups of people.
I don't do that.
Own your behavior and stop accusing me of your core beliefs.
@RolandCuthbert I won this debate a month ago... but since I clicked on it accidentally when trying to clean my notifications, I'll leave one final response.
I never wrote here or anywhere that race was/is "the most important thing". Just that it's a result of being from different areas of the planet, and that it factors in an individual's medical history. Both 100% true.
However, playing Devil's Advocate, let's go with your position that race is a myth and/or a superstition. Then that completely negates your position that there's an existence of "white privilege". You can't have it both ways. It's actually GREEN privilege (the HAVES and HAVE NOTS, based on who has the GREEN), like I stated a long time ago.
More points for me. See you in a month. Or whenever...
@NYCQuestions1976 Of course, race is the most important thing to you. Even as you cannot define it. Wow, now I have to go back and respond to Hispanic Cool Guy and Whiteboi or whatever. I can't believe I forgot this conversation. Anyway, you seem to keep confusing your fantasy with scientific reality. I am only pointing at science. I can't do a thing about the fantasy you and other raciologists engage in. You can believe the earth is flat. You could be elected President of the U. S. and then use your political and legal powers to enforce absolute fantasy. You can force schools to teach your nonsense. You can force people to live as though the earth is really flat.
That won't change scientific fact.
Social constructs and scientific facts are two totally different things.
Why you keep pretending that you know anything about how the medical field uses race is troubling. Because you keep pretending that race is a scientific classification. Doctors are only using what you think you know about yourself to guess at genetic solutions. I have taken a DNA test. That test will determine my likelihood I have inherited certain health issues.
That cannot be determined by my race.
This is just so freaking weird.
The problem with his thinking is that while culture does determine who people are & how they are perceived it's not a fact that "whiteness" is universally wrong/bad or whatever. Same is true for blackness. Also there isn't a 1:1 relationship between racial ideas and cultural identity so the black person in Africa doesn't consider a black U. S. citizen to be the same thing. In fact a black person in one part of Africa doesn't think they have anything in common with a totally random black person from another part of Africa. Likewise you have white people who don't agree on anything... you have white people who see other white people as mortal enemies & that has been going on in Europe for eons too.
MLK had a better idea with his "I have a dream" speech but that doesn't give power to race baiting types so they reject it.
So I'm not Caucasian? Fascinating. However I'll wait to see what Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Donatello have to say before I pass judgment.
I'd say it's straight out of hitler, and I'd be right because the frankfurt school basically just copied hitler.
Sounds like Hitler or any other genocidal maniac.
Sounds crazy.
