These electric cars that are being forced on us will have to recharged. Do you think the charging stations will be constantly vandalized & broken?

I just can't see how these electric cars won't constantly have problems that come with a big price tag. Personally I would hate constantly how often they will run out of electricity. Even IF you can find the electric filling stations, will they be out in the middle of nowhere, and could I easily be a victim of crime while I am there? Who will constantly maintain them and keep them from being vandalized? My opinion is they will never work for millions of people on the go. Too many problems including how expensive they are. People forget that the majority of electricity is generated using fosil fuels.

Also, a few years down the line, batteries from electric cars will need to be replaced. Diposed batteries will become an enviromental issue.

Most people don't drive more than 500 miles/day at most so if the range is 500-600 miles that's not an issue for most. If the range is only 200-300 it's a problem for long distance driving.

It's not like gas stations at all. An electric car only needs a small charging station that costs nothing compared to a gas station. You can re-charge it at home too if you own a house. No, I don't think vandals would vandalize a charging station in my garage unless they want to get shot. And there will be large charging stations that are just as watched as gas stations are today. Sure... there will also be lots of charging stations in the middle of nowhere that could be vandalized.

Anyhow gas stations will start going obsolete long before the last gasoline car is mass produced because it costs a lot of money to get insurance for a gas station or to build a new one. The owners will want to get out of that business before the income drops too low. Think of it like back when cars first showed up and people thought it was better to use a horse drawn carriage. You would've had lots of barns selling horse feed to people and just a few gas stations. But that quickly reversed to where there were almost no horses and tons of gas stations. We'll see this change with gas vs electric cars in the next 10-12 years. It does not even matter what my opinion or your opinion is of electric cars. The government will force car makers to make electric cars and eventually ban all new gas cars. The good news is that electric car tech is fast improving so we will probably be able to go 600+ miles on a single charge. The bad news is that the batteries better be way better than the current ones or they'll cost a lot to replace every 10 years.

I have nothing against electric vehicles, they just don't appeal much to me yet. Electric comes with a pretty steep price premium, and the annualized cost savings of using electricity vs gas aren't great for me, as I don't pile that many miles on. And the other big factor is I love my big old fashioned Detroit style pushrod V8 money-to-noise converters !

You will be "filling up" your car mostly at home unless you are going on a long-distance trip.

For long-distance trips, there will be travel plazas like there are today already; throughout North America, there are several chains of travel plazas mostly along the interstates: Flying-J, Love's, Pilot, Travel Centers of America, etc.

These "truck plazas" are usually large and are manned and operated 24/7/365. They are like mini-cities.
Right now, they accommodate gasoline and diesel fuel, but they will eventually also be accommodating electric vehicles with banks of superchargers which can give about 80% of the range of a vehicle in about 15 minutes - just enough time to piss and grab a bite to eat before getting back on the open road.

When you have a hard time finding information just know both sides arguments and decipher from there. If they both agree on a particular part of an argument that usually either means it is true or both have something to lose or both have something to gain. Or sometimes the other side has evidence against a certain ideology, etc and the other side may be ignoring the evidence. Basically after you get enough people to believe something it gains credibility sadly.

"The grid" is the network of power stations and transmission lines delivering electrical power everywhere.

You can ask where electricity "comes from"; that is, how it is generated. It is generated in many ways, but the primary way to create electricity is simply to spin magnets. So, we have all sorts of ingenious ways to spin magnets... For instance, in a wind turbine, wind impacts the blades of the turbine causing the shift inside the turbine to rotate. Attached to that shaft are magnets inside a generator. Those magnets rotate with the shaft. However, there are also "stator" magnets around the inside of the generator. The alternating magnetic fields between these two sets of magnets causes electricity to be created due to "magnetic induction". Some fancy electronics then makes sure that the electricity that gets to the grid is suitable for the grid.

Fossil fuel power plants - coal, natural gas, oil - they all do the same thing: they burn a fuel and the exhaust is very hot and quickly moves through pipes and... hits turbine blades attached to a generator shaft which has magnets that rotate... etc.

Nuclear power: Radioactive decay causes water to heat up. That heat then goes to a different boiler of water to make steam - steam that is piped and... hits turbine blades attached to a generator shaft which has magnets that rotate... etc.

Hydro power: Falling water hits turbine blades attached to a generator shaft which has magnets that rotate... etc.

Solar power is different. That has to do with something called the photoelectric effect.
