In other words how much value and importance do you place on nationhood?

Do you love the land where you live? Are you willing to lay down your life and give your last breath in defense of it?

I know “nationalism” is typically associated with white people but I know plenty of Asians and Africans and hispanics who feel pride in their country.

I think everyone deserves that right.

So how do you feel about your country?

Or do you think all nations are the same and that feeling pride in your culture is a ludicrous concept?

I'm a good mixture of both - I'd like to think.

I'm Icelandic - by ethnicity, Danish by nationality, I've pride & love for both countries, would defend both if attacked. (Icelandics are insanely proud of nation, culture & history)

My grandmother implemented a lot of pride in me - that Iceland is now a independent country, that we're a republic not under the rulings of another kingdom. & I do like to see the citizens of Denmark being taken care of a little more before we focus on the world but at the same time: we can't turn a blind eye to the world due to globalization or that we should exclude other nations for our own benefits.

I am against globalism because we all know there is a small group of rich men ploning things behind the scenes with a sinister global agenda but I am also against nationalism because feeling pride in my country is retarded.

Nationalism is what got us into this mess in the first place. Globalism is the inevitable result of being able to cross the world in a day. You can't simply wish it away.

@grega239 I feel like some people should reflect on what it is about their country that gives them pride, above and beyond the simple fact that they were born there. My own national pride has been tarnished by years of bad governance.

I would say American Nationalist. America should be more self sufficient and more conscious of disparities in foreign trade.

Where im from , being a nationalist has very little to do with politics. Its about heritage.

All nations/cultures are not equal. Mine is better than others

I don’t like the notion of all the world blended together as one. The world is made up of separate peoples with their own culture and language, traditions, and usually religion. I like having differences instead of blending everything into a homogeneous blob.

I also do like the concept for rule? Would there be a one world ruler? No thanks. Not a good idea.
