What exactly is this "war" in Ukraine? And why is Covid barely in the News anymore?

We are in the middle of a pandemic, are we not? What, have the Russians and Ukranians decided to play hide-and-seek and disregard Covid protocol?

Washington State (my home state) had more people die of Covid than people killed by Russians in Ukraine, today alone!

We are actually NOT in the middle of a pandemic. Coronavirus is no longer even considered a “pandemic” and is entering the “endemic” phase of viral evolution in the northern hemisphere. According to a February report from Moderna: “ “We do believe that we are transitioning into an endemic phase marked by a period of stability in case counts, hospitalizations and deaths at least in the Northern Hemisphere,” Moderna Chief Medical Officer Paul Burton told analysts during a call Thursday morning after the company reported fourth-quarter earnings.

North America, Europe, most of Asia and much of Africa are in the Northern Hemisphere. However, Burton said Moderna is closely monitoring the trajectory of the virus in the Southern Hemisphere, which includes large nations such as Brazil and South Africa, as winter approaches there.

Burton said Covid will continue to circulate during an endemic phase like the flu but at a more static and predictable rate. It will likely follow seasonal patterns like other respiratory viruses, such as the aforementioned flu, he said.

First, your claim of WAR deaths vs WA Covid deaths is completely untrue! As of March 10th 549 civilians have been killed in Ukraine, 82 people have died from Covid during that same time! But close! How unbelievably selfish are you? Millions of ACTUAL human beings have been forced to flee their homes, two million are now living in squalor in refugee camps in Poland. Yet you are concerned NOT for the dead women & children blown to shreds in their beds… No, you are concerned that something has pushed your hometown fear-porn off the front pages! Never rely on politicians or the media to give you permission to be safe. Your health is your own commitment. Wear a mask and keep washing your hands, eat healthy food and drink water s as bad ditch the fizzy drinks.

Just because something is no longer in the mainstream media, doesn’t mean it’s not a threat.
It may require more digging, but you can find all the information on covid through research, and keep up to date that way.
Unfortunately this is the world we are living in, and the media is only attracted to the juicy story’s rather than any other essential ones.
I watch health documentary’s and keep myself in the “know” because I know, no one else is going to look after me, but me.

Same thing when it comes to healthy eating. How many newspapers telling us to build our immunity’s with healthy eating and regular walking etc? No one is telling us to do this, but it doesn’t mean it’s not high on the priority list to keeping ourselves safe.
