USA Close To Being Done With Daylight Savings Time. Do You Support The End Of Daylight Savings Time?

Yes, it should end everywhere! The making of DST permanent was postponed in my country because of the pandemia but seeing that all of the measures against Covid are about to be taken down in 4 days, I can't wait for DST to become permanent. I can only hope our government will make the summer time permanent, bc the winter time is so f*cking depressing.
It's an old practice that just needs to go, and I never liked the time change. The only thing is, all of our electronic devices are set up for Daylight Savings Time, and some can be adjusted easily and others can't.

100%. Daylight savings was a way to preserve power consumption during the energy crisis in the 1970s. It helps by burning less "midnight oil." You "fall back" an hour when there's less sun. Then you "spring forward" when there more sunlight.
The thing is It's not even relevant to our current world power struggles being wired almost 24/7/365. Daylight savings in our modern day only leads to more traffic accidents from sleep deprived commuting workers. Just get rid of it.
Just as long as we still get cool weather. If it stays light until 9 pm that is too much daylight for me.
I voted no don't do away with it. I actually love when it gets dark early.
The US tried year-round DST in the mid-70s. There were some problems with it. children were getting up and standing at a bus stop in the dead of night and people that work outside were having issues. So that was stopped a year later. I have no issue with this, but schedules will need to be changed in the winter or we will go back to having these problems. Other countries have tried this and changed back! DST in the winter is really tough!
It was created in a time without technology to help farmers. We are so far past that it's not funny.
Kids waiting on a bus in the dark is just a stupid argument. There should be street lights... Or wait there with them.
Once parents figure out that not everyone has little kids, we will be so much better if a society b
Massachusetts tried keeping DST year round back in the 1970's. From what I read, there was a huge backlash. Mainly because school kids were walking to school in the dark or waiting for school buses in the dark. It ended fairly quickly.
I support the end of changing our clocks twice a year. Leaving them on DST is probably the best option.
The Senate voted to keep Daylight Savings Time permanent not eliminate it!!
No when daylight savings time comes on time switches. The end of that would mean no more hour set backs. That’s what I meant “!!”
i do want dst to end, however i would rather have it end on "normal time" and not make dst permanent.
It will end, I didn't vote shit. But it will end eventually. It's fucking retarded. What a pain in the balls twice a year. Lefties will question me no doubt.
How many times are you going through life, and this TIME of the year comes up and you don't give a shit? I've done it just to have 7 hour day. Plus ignore it just because, it matters not if you don't change the F'ing clock life just goes on if you don't change the time on your alarm clock or vehicles, or any other f'ing clock?
It's stupid and it always was. In Japan they laugh at us because we turn clocks back and forth
I voted "Yes", but not for the reason inferred in the question. I want to stay on Standard Time permanently! I hate DST!
Clown.
Thank GOD. Daylight Savings is a fraudulent event that has shown to be a major detriment than a positive.
Yes it's a good thing to end switching the time twice a year. With the US adopting to stay with one time hopefully Canada will follow suit.
The number of heart attacks raises during time change. They say the culprit is sleep changes.
i don't have a problem with it, but I wouldn't want to be stuck with it getting dark at 5 pm here all year, so I would hope they don't leave it at that.
Yes the though I have a clock changes yearly. On its own but month early. Two weeks early.
Yes, I do. Its time to toss it in the trash can.
umm what about kids who have to wait for the bus.. in the dark
I totally support the end of Daylight Savings Time
only if we go back to Standard time
To be honest, I don't know why it got politicized.
finally!!!
I hope it passes
I hope and pray
