Which is better for self defense?

I own a knife and mace, but I want a taser too.

Mace is good for spraying someone in order to temporarily incapacitate. It allows you to stop them from attacking and get away. Especially if they are at a distance. A taser is similar, but depending on your attacker it can be less effective. Easier to aim, but some people can shrug it off. And if they have thick enough clothes it won't necessarily penetrate. It's good to have a knife on for close attackers who get past your guard and you have to fight up close and personal. However, knives are really really dangerous. Obviously. And it can be easily used against you. Knife wounds are often harder to heal an address then even gunshots. Plus the knife could be taken from you and used against you.

So my recommendation would be to get mace and then have a knife as a last resort back up. You can have a taser as well if you'd like. And practice drawing them out and aiming them. In a life-or-death situation you won't have time to think, and you need to have those instincts ingrained

the mace is best because it offers a deterrent from a distance. Tasers are a good choice too and I know from personal experience that they're effective. I also like the super loud alarms you can carry. In most cases, they'll help bring attention to the attacker that will make them run off.

Knives are okay, but the big problem with them is that a lot of people cringe in the moment when they're about to cut/stab someone. It's not for everybody, so I'd never recommend that as a primary defense.

Get a gun and learn to shoot. Get a concealed carry permit. Carry loaded anywhere you go. Nothing beats a bullet or two when talking about self defense

The way the world is turning every woman should have that but you should also know self-defense because if you have a weapon you could be taken away from you and used against you there are simple moves one blow I don't care how big the guy is I don't care if he has a gun or knife or anyting all you have to know is one move and it will disarm it it will take him down in a heartbeat just make sure whatever you have if you have mace if you have a stun gun that you can slip your hand in through a wristband so it is tied to you so you do not lose it if you get hit it's always on your body so you can keep using it is one thing bad about weapons if you do not know how to use it if you're not paying attention they can be taken from you and then used against you

Hand Taser, short range, short shock, good enough to scare someone. Easy-to-use in all situations.

Pepper spray. Medium range, long debilitating effect. Creating a blind crying mess. Wind can turn your weapon against you hurting yourself.

Knife, unless proper training and a guard you will cut off your own finger tendons before hurting someone else. With that knife pictured a normal person won't have the grip strength needed to stab someone but ultimately the defensive persons hands will slide up the edge cutting themselves.

Taser projectile darts is probably the best all around non lethal defense weapon. Second would be pepper spray but need to be mindfull about wind. Third hand Taser. Knife is just a don't being the least effective lethal weapon.

Depends, I prefer lethal weapons for self defense because they are the most effective, go for the knife, lethal spots are the neck and temple I think is what it's called, you can slash arteries as well which are located on the back of the thighs, on the arms I think it's in the forearms, eyeballs are my personal favorite tho, I'd say is the best spot to target if all you have time for is one attack, thing is that if you carry a knife, there's always a chance your weapons can be used against you so, stab to kill? 🤷🏽

Even tho with all honesty, no sane person would keep attacking after being stabbed in general, i don't depend on knives tbh.

Well, I'm guessing you're wanting a tool that's going to incapacitate someone the fastest. A strong enough taser with pretty much temporarily paralyze people. Got to be strong enough because some people are highly resistant. Out of the three, I'd put this as the best to instantly stop somebody, and the second most likely to be fatal. It can stop your heart. The knife won't instantly drop somebody. Especially with adrenaline pumping, they might be alive for another good minute even with an artery opened. Most lethal of the three, but least likely to drop someone instantly. Finally the mace? Depending on the spray, it can seriously hurt, but it won't actually paralyze your muscles like a tazer will. I've seen quite a few people maced in jail, and they eventually quit, but all got punches in while maced. They used OC too, which is pretty strong. Second most likely to drop you instantly, least likely to kill.

ideally you want to maintain distance. you want to keep yourself as far away from the bad guy as possible. mace is good for that. a knife is a bad, bad idea. chances are the bad guy will be stronger than you and could potentially use the knife against you. I know for a fact I could disarm a woman with a knife pretty easy if she didn't have any training with it.

after the mace I would take a tazer. you should check out the Sting Ring. it would be very difficult for someone to take it from you and you can deliver multiple shocks with it.

What you labeled a Taser is not a Taser. It is a stun gun, and you have to get far too close to a person to use one. Forget that. The knife requires skill, training, speed, and luck. Forget that too. The Mace will likely blow back all over you, is often ineffective, and will totally piss the attacker off who will then hurt you even more. Forget it.

Those things attached to your legs at the bottom are called "feet" and they are your best defense - use them to RUN. Also, that opening under your nose is called your "mouth" - use it to SCREAM really loud to summon help.

Depends on who's attacking you. If a man larger than me is attacking me I'd prefer a bodyguard, then a gun. None of your options would work realistically, mace would make your attacker even more angry plus you might spray yourself. You need to know technique to effectively use a knife but it can also be used against you. A taser only works if your attacker isn't already touching you, wouldn't want to electrocute yourself.

A good mace over a knife, definitely. A stab might cause someone to bleed to death but doesn't actually hurt all that much with enough adrenaline pumping.

A taser likely beats both.

The best self defense you can actually master - outside of avoiding risk - is sprinting. Joining a good track club. Mastering a 100-200m dash. There are times when you can't run away but really, being a good runner is better than a knife, mace, taser, gun or 20 years of high-end martial arts.

With a taper you don't have to be very close, then pepper spray and a knife is for close up.
The object is not to let them get close enough to have to use a knife.
A nice 380 or 9mm would get their attention, only if you were prepared for the consequences.

I don't recall the specific number, but most people trying to fight with a knife end up injuring themselves instead.
If it comes to the point where you need to use either a pepper spray or a taser, you will want to try and create an opening to run. A taser is loud, while idiots will underestimate a pepper spray (which mainly starts hurting once you touch your eyes).
So, I would go with a taser.
However, do check what's legal around you.

The best self defense is the one that you will consistently carry and are proficient in using. Your taser can run out of charge or have a defect, the mace can also run out, or have some blockages, but a good fixed blade knife, even if small, has no moving parts and will always be ready for you.

I honestly would stick with the mase. If you stab someone and don't have a good lawyer, it may come back to bite you in the ass. But, if you spray first, then stab if they keep coming after you, you're good. Taser, be super careful. If they got a pacemaker or some other type of disease that could have a recoil affect, you could be in hot water. So, I'd say stay with the mase first, then knife. I would say a taser but each of these has a different advantage. Mace will work at a distance but it will not incapacitate an attacker. A knife can be deadly if used correctly but it must be used at close quarters.

Distance is always best even more so for women. If that man is big/heavy enough, he could very well over power you even if you hit with a mace/tazer or knife. So keeping your distance will be better than trying to fight

I keep mase on me. It can be done with a little bit of distance. To use a knife or taser, you have to get closer. Plus you don’t want them to try and sue for defending yourself
