Well, I happen to agree with you, actually, and I think it's about 50/50.

Part of it is likely our own perceptions, which are no doubt colored by our own personality and biases. At the same time, though, the world does suck, and so does the human race.

We're so selfish, egocentric, and greedy; it's a wonder we've survived as a species this long. We're a failed experiment, and the planet would be better off without humans. We're just too much of a virus to actually go away.

Yeah, but to play devils advocate, what about human characteristics of love, altruism, friendship and laughter? Those are real too.

That's true; they are, but many animal species display those, as well, without all of the negative bullshit that comes with human sentience.

If altruism, just to pick one, were more powerful than selfishness and greed, we wouldn't have wars, countries, racism, bigotry, and hate.

95% of politicians display all of the negative aspects of humanity, without any of the redeeming qualities. We wouldn't have rape, murder, crime, etc.

I voted B. A lot of people do suck and you're probably one of them. If every relationship of yours as ended terribly and you have not found one person who you get along with, you're probably the problem. Nobody enjoys being around miserable people.

I used to be like you too, full of hatred, then I realized I am in control of my own emotion.
Are you going to live your life in agony? Go for it, you're the one who's going to suffer from the bitterness.
I'd like my temporary time on earth be enjoyable, so I really hope you do try to find something you like.

I was much more sad about my life when I was younger. Many days were consumed with existential depression. I learned to give meaning to my life through service to others.
